What about the Sport cars we do have?  I have two fun toys in a 06 SRT8 Jeep and my father's 65 Corvette Stingray. Fun to drive, and horrible gas mileage, lol. Highly recommend getting some fun driving toys. Very fun, esp the Jeep that not many know is a racing truck.

I inherited a 2004 z06, fun cars. That’s a beaut.  ‘19 gti daily driver with a couple of...tweaks..., a couple of e46 m3s, and old s4 twin turbo, and two motorcycles. Tourers, not sport bikes. K1600gt and a night rod

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Auto pains me but enjoy it man. Flogged a rented GT convertible down the PCH last week, had work in San Fran. They’ve come a long way in the last few years but that torque will still break the back end at will. Enjoy in good health my man

I’ve gotten used to the F1 paddle shifters on most new sports cars and I really can’t complain too much. It certainly makes any kind of traffic easier and it’s definitely faster.

I do tend to agree with the traditionalists that there is something primal that connects you to the car with a manual though. If I’m driving purely for fun, I want a gated manual. If I could only have one car, give me the paddles all day.

OK, so I know we all hate the Redskins and the Redskins fans...  laugh at them more like nowadays.  However, if they are going to change their names, maybe we should think of some that would at least fit well and not make the NFCE look bad.

I'll start with the Washington Bullheads  (named for the catfish found in the Chesapeake):

The Washington Lobbyists.
 or maybe The Washington Bureaucrats

Probably a bad idea considering the polarization around monuments in the US these days, but I always thought Washington Monuments would be a good name for them.

Can even appropriate the Washington Monument as the team logo.

Completely fair. In my crotchety old age (36) there are now times in traffic or when dealing with an infotainment system that I crave a manual. Vw/Audi dsg is a wizard, so I can appreciate them. I don’t know. It’s a tough pill to swallow but I get it. It’ll be forced on me sooner than later. When the 3-series and a4s dropped manual option me that was the death knell. Nobody is going to put money into them anymore and soon nobody is going to go through the separate EPA process for the 10% take rate. I’ll adapt to autos or lived with used forever. I wanted to pull the trigger on an m6 gran coupe a few weeks back but it was high mileage, bad options (stuff I don’t want it had stuff I wanted it lacked) and awful colors. So still on the prowl for the right one.

A D so big you can see it from space?  Guess that could work

Never rooted for Snyder before, but I am on this issue. Hope he holds strong.

At best, likely no media outside of virtual. At worst, no football.

An overwhelming amount of players will choose to play. They know their time in the NFL is limited and have to maximize it financially, pandemic or no pandemic. Some upper tier guys might make a fuss but even they in the end will come around.

Washington sentinels from the movie the replacements

Cause I can't stand stuff like this. A reservation in Arizona calls their football team the Redskins. More PC bull. Hope he gives everyone the middle finger.

I do think it would be funny if Snyder is like OK I’ll change the name and then he goes with the Washington bullets lol

Majority will, I agree. I do wonder what disgruntled players on a tag like Ngakoue do. He already hates his team so why bother showing up for a cluster f season?

That's a really good point. I mean there may not be a season at all so wouldn't be a terrible one to decide to sit out.

The important part is that if they're forced to change their name... they have no Superbowls. Might as well call them the Washington Losers.

Don't know if it's been posted in here already, I went back a few pages but didn't see it. Oskar Lindblom has finished his chemo treatments after 7 months battling Ewing Sarcoma!

He will not be able to play in the (hopefully) upcoming playoffs but may be ready by the start of next season, whenever that is. He recently skated with the team after the league allowed small on ice practices

Can’t see why the NFLPA would ever agree to that "reckless behavior” fine. Going out to eat at a restaurant with proper social distancing is not "reckless” at all.

This a thing you can easily get anywhere, even with taking precautions. Whose to say you even got it at a restaurant even if you went out to eat.

Well if it's not "reckless behavior" they probably won't be punished as if it is.

That sort of depends how the 'canceled' season would count towards contractual obligations.  If he chooses to sit out, declares it as such, and then the season is cancelled, he might end up staying under the franchise tag for 2021.  On the flip side, if he doesn't choose to sit out, shows up, and then the season is cancelled, he might end up having met his obligations and be free for 2021.   I have no idea what happens in these eventualities, but its worth investigating by him and his agent.

I really need to find a rich benefactor to take me on a trip to Italy... You wanna sponsor me?

I will say...one of the best parts of going to Italy is traveling with someone seeing it for the first time.

Not necessarily.  I was in northern Italy based out of Milan. Like Baltimore’s Little Italy pasta which tends towards Sicily level seasoning which is better than northern Italy pasta. If only they made the thin eat it with a fork pizzas.

Milan and the North have incredible pastas, just different.  Southern Italy is all about the red sauces.  As you push north, the white sauces with truffle become more common.  Heavier and less healthy, perhaps.  I love them all.

First time I was in Italy (Aviano, northern Italy)  we went to a restaurant. My bill came to about 12,000 lira and I almost freaked until I remembered the exchange rate.

That sounds like an invitation to me...  I'll let the wife know.  She'll be thrilled.
