NFLPA is still holding firm on their proposal of 0 preseason games. If football happens, it’s going to be a pretty sloppy first few games. Also a lot of undiscovered talent sitting at home on the sofa.

Yep. Feel for the UDFAs. Also makes me want to bring JP into the fold again now. We’re not going to have any live reps to grade the kids on to fill the next hole. Get ahead of it with JP now

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

SAS on ESPN reporting that a very high source in the Washington organization has confirmed that Snyder will change the name before the season. So much for "NEVER" all caps huh Danny. Money talks, it really F'in does, once the sponsors started threatening, it was over.

Wonder what they'll change the name to?  Foreskins or Potato Skins would work.  At least they can keep the "Skins" part in there.

The name "Redtails" is gaining a lot of traction online. Will let them keep a modified version of their fight song and colors.

I was looking up the name of the people living in the local native villages that were located in the Washington area, thinking maybe they just go with a name that honors those actual native Americans who lived there.  The name I found was the Nacotchtanks.

So maybe not that....

Inching closer to canceling the regular season

No surprise.

Washington — Generals, Admirals, Warriors, Senators or Nationals makes the most sense to me.

Chiefs just cancelled their TC in St. Joseph Mo but haven't gone beyond that...….yet

So they are keeping the Washington name?

Should just call them the Landover Trashcans

Maybe, but it’s also a constant game of one up.  430 goes to 4.2 so gallardo goes to 4.1 so gt3rs goes to 4.0 so 430 challenge stradale goes to 3.8 and so on and so on. (Those numbers aren’t accurate just illustrating).  Manuals will never compete w dual clutches so the next car out won’t get the ".2 faster than a such and such.”  They get the "despite being three years newer than the such and such, this car trails it by .2 to 60, and a full second through the quarter mile traps.”

aston is the only manufacturer can think of that went the other way in the last few years with the sublime vantage v12 manual. Two seats, twelve cylinders, three pedals, six speeds. The way life should be. I’d get beat by every guy in his new f1 style such and such, but the smile would be permanently etched into my face.

Yeah, the third pedal is basically an enthusiast market now; most companies will still offer their limited type cars in manual, but it’s going to be an ever shrinking market that only appeals to very small consumer base.

Globetrotter's b****, CFL team, NBA team, NHL team, MLB team.

Don't see any of those as the choice.  At the very least, Snyder's ego wouldn't settle for copying another team name.

I’d assume that’s in part because their new generation of consumers can’t drive stick.

A lot of cars are being designed from the ground up without the possibility of a manual as well. Like AHD said, it was pushed more so at the exotic end of the market; it started with Ferrari who were the first to use the system in Formula 1 racing back in the late ‘90’s. Since that is where Ferrari really built its brand name and racing legacy, they introduced it into their cars so that enthusiasts were getting the latest, greatest and fastest.

Fast forward to today and now computer management systems have become critical in modern engines, and a manual gear box actually gets in the way of pushing the envelope from a technological perspective. Ferrari is again a great example with their latest super car, the F90, is a 1000 HP V8 turbo electric hybrid. That’s a lot of moving parts that need to be optimized and having a computer controlling everything really maximizes performance.

Not sure if the manual option is still available on everyday cars now, perhaps only on certain sports car models.

My 2019 Civic Sport is a 6-speed manual. Love it.

I still have a '97 Prelude lol

Fun car

Since we’re talking cars, are they any expert opinions on CVTs? Would you recommend buying a newer car with one?

There’s a rap song where the artist used the n-word so it should have been fine when Riley cooper said it. Sure guy, that’s how it works. "Pc bull.”  The Arizona team is probably derivative anyway, as many high school teams are named after pro mascots.

there’s no good argument as to why that name shouldn’t change. Including yours.

It is on a native american reservation dude and they think it honors them.

I'm so sick of this BS PC culture progressives are making with invented and over exaggerated examples of offense. People need to go watch PCU and realize we are living the movie.

Have a happy 4th everyone! Everyone except for @UK Eagle that is.  You can suck it because King George 3 is a loser.

You can keep your COVID-19 and violence ridden hellhole, all the same.  We have enough issues to deal with at the moment.  I can even give you a member of the Royal Family to go with the woke one we sent over earlier in the year. Consider it a 2 for 1 deal.

But yeah, Happy 4th July weekend!

If he changes the name at all it will be strictly for business reasons; it’s only even a consideration now because he has sponsors walking away due to public pressure.

The new team name will be whichever one his ad execs tell him will bring in the most money through merchandising, sponsors, etc.

Also, Admirals was an NFL Europe team

I believe the article answers most if not all of your questions.

How about the Washington Corrupters.

It seems to be a fit.

What are your thoughts on Mailata becoming a swing tackle?  I live about 10 min from IMG and when I drive by or play some golf at their course I always have a moment or two of thinking about Stoutland putting through the paces.  I still hold out hope he surprises and becomes dominant.   You?

:offtopic: My wife and I just finished watching Hamilton. Just wow. Brilliant doesn’t begin to describe it. I am utterly blown away.

Dude should be finishing his college eligibility in terms of playing experience. The fact he is on the roster and could actually play is astounding to me.

About Washington 1pms?

Because they only over play at 1pm on a Sunday

And more Cowboy scuttlebutt
