Dude, we took land from people who took land from other people. The end. Do I feel for their ancestors? Sure. Guess who broke peace treaties with each other back in the day? Yep. Native Americans. Last night he had a fireworks. Oh well. Move on.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

So just read an article about eagles moving grayland arnold from corner to safety.

He was a udfa from baylor, moved around a bit at baylor in the backfield at 5'10" about 187lbs he was thought too small to be a pro safety and too slow to be a pro corner.

Apparently hes being trained as a back up deep safety in mcleods role.

Maybe if he can put on about 5-10 he can compete at safety but i dont know much about him i imagine his ceiling for this year is Practice Squad?

I still can’t see how Belichick is going to get along with a guy who shows up in a cape or whatever he’s wearing

Depth behind McLeod at deep/free safety is kind of a sneaky Eagles need. Wallace and Parks -- neither of whom I'm extremely familiar with --  do their best work closer to the line of scrimmage based on what I'm reading. And I would have initially thought Jalen Mills' corner background would make him well-suited to the center field role but reading his own comments, he's preparing more to step in for Jenkins as a quasi-linebacker. So, who's McCleod's backup right now? It's probably...Maddox?

Really?  Seems more like Chip's wet dream.

I usually get the impression Doug wants to share but the rules don't allow it.

Maddox seemed to do well in the role of deep safety when he played it but seems schwartz plans on using him at outside corner which i dont think is his best spot.

Then there is elijah riley as well from army but he seems more a close to line in the box safety as well then after that there are like 15 nickel corners😒

So maybe they see arnold as a legit mcleod backup?

I honestly don't remember much about Chip other than we seemed to have had fewer injuries during his era and those poster signals for play calling that only lasted about 1 season

Doug is very private with injuries

Yea, agreed on the injuries.  I think Doug fully buys into the theory of keeping that away from the other team until the last minute.

Think I was just remembering past summer interviews for Eagles mini camps and such.  Lot of rule changes over the last few years with dates and player-coach availability rules, etc.

Yeah, Howie has mentioned Arnold before completely unprompted so they seem to think highly of him. They also clearly want to start Maddox on the outside, but I do think they could reconsider that with a McCleod injury.

Newton is too much showboating on and off the field.  Hard pressed to see Belichick to put up with that.  Either Cam tunes it down at NE, or he will sit or get cut.

Are there any HVAC guys in the blog?

Having no pre-season is going to seriously dilute the NFLs product and ratings, which will reduce ad revenue, which will reduce pay checks if TV deals cannot be maximised.  No professional sport should start a season without a lick of a pre-season workout IMHO.

I am assume multi team Training Camp sessions are off now too?

That episode is their most famous — my fav was the one where they took the business trip to Dayton for the Vicki Von Vicki jeans account.

Holy crap... Watch where the ball ends up

Was he OK with Gronkowski doing similar things?  Or is it just the QBs cant showboat?  Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how those 2 work together.
