Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

There has to be an out for him in that. I can’t imagine him wanting to be locked into a contract for 10 years when the market goes up and up at QB.

I'd imagine you are right, but 380 -400 million dollars with maybe half guaranteed is hard to walk away from. After a certain point with that much money it just becomes about ego.

I wonder if it’s the first $200M guaranteed deal.  10 years at $39M per year would be a huge deal — for both sides, really.

I'd almost guarantee the number is going to floor us all for him to sign a 10 year deal.

I feel like that’s on the low end.

I'd be surprised, that's quite the leap. Fully guaranteed leader is Ryan just a shade under $100M, total guaranteed is Goff at $110M

I came across this group of sentences in a book 📖I’m currently reading and liked it so much I’ll quote it here, slightly bowdlerized. It applies to a brief conversation in here that touched on Moby Dick. Someone asked if reading it was worth it. The book I’m reading, H is for Hawk, is about falconry and speaks of a book by T. H. White called The Goshawk.

"When I read it again, years later, I understood why people considered it a masterpiece. For White made falconry a metaphysical battle. Like Moby-Dick or The Old Man and the SeaThe Goshawk was a literary encounter between animal and man that reached back to Puritan traditions of spiritual contest: salvation as a stake in a contest against God.”

Never read The Goshawk. Heard about it.  White apparently tried to train the hawk using medieval methods. Loved his Once and Future King series.  Also like Mary Stewart’s books on the Arthurian legend. I recommend both. Want a real battle, try reading Le Morte D’Arthur by Malory.  I tried but gave up and read a modernized version.

$400M is on the low side. Guarantee will be insane as well.

The Jaguars really took a RB in the top 10 over two stud QBs. Lololololol

Yeah i don’t get why people do it. I go to the Grand Canyon about once or twice a year living out here. Every time there’s at least 5-6 groups of people that Go take selfies or pictures as close to the ledge as possible. The picture isn’t worth your life.

I’m deathly afraid of getting too close to the barriers in general. It’s just as great of a view or picture staying within the barriers. If anything go on the tour that takes you down the canyon in a mule or to the rafting. You’d get better pictures and experience.

My kids (30 and 26 at the time) backpacked it in October. Camp, down, camp, up other side, camp, down, camp, back up, camp. First real backpack trip for my daughter.  They were going to do Shenandoah this summer and Zion in the fall.  Unfortunately, COVID-19.  My son’s work makes him quarantine two weeks before getting back on base and he hates what kind of work he can do at home.  Both are bummed.

Man that sucks they aren’t going to be able to do Shenandoah and Zion but at least your daughter got her first experience at the Grand Canyon before this all happened. I’m sure she probably loved it.

Makes sense since the years and not the total dollars were leaked.

A person took their picture coming over the rim at the end.  Son looks like, that was fun, let’s go again.  Daughter looks like, hallelujah, flat ground; tired and triumphant.  I would have looked like my daughter.

I loved The Once and Future King series too and I also lost the battle with Malory.

Huge deal and boat-loads of money!  The Chiefs are making a major commitment!  Wonder if it is a signal that the 2020 season will be going ahead despite all the issues about Covid-19?

You sign him to a 10 year deal because of the signs of the 2020 season?  Don;t think has has anything to do with the other, lol. But to answer your question, I have no doubt the season is going ahead.

Yup, hopefully pryor can step up as well. Losing Brooks is a big loss.

And Seumalo continues to improve and make up for the loss on the other side.
