I took a lady friend and my dog so we stuck to the cheaper motels. I am going back to Jackson Hole next year to spend more time in Grand Teton...There is a lot of flat paved bike paths and some campsite are walk/bike in only...there is an incredible 50 mile loop...I wish I knew about the biking possibilities in Grand Teton...I would have left the lady at home...

Gorgeous. The Tetons are a favorite of mine.  I encourage everyone to hit those barely populated states out west.  It really is Big Sky Country.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Yeah I use foil to keep my liquid in. I love the combo of pork, BBQ sauce and dr pepper.

He is. His style of play allows him to succeed with less around him imo. His ability to drop back beyond 7-steps and still make all the throws is such a nice leg up on the rest of the league. He's a unique player.

no player is worth that type of long term commitment and, therefore, risk

he already has his knee cap come out of place, he didn't look great without being able to run around.  This was an emotional decision off of a SB

By the time you hit 160 to 165 you are not gonna get much more smoke flavor anyway

That's my plan with my shoulder tomorrow. Slowly smoke it to 160, pot it in the Instant Pot with apple juice.

I am planning on a Carolina cider vinegar based sauce on the side.

My wife bought me these last year.   I like to keep some of the chunks in it and not shredded completely.  Doesn’t dry out as quick.

Butcher paper is always best.

My wife would never buy me a pair of those. I would run around the house acting like Wolverine.

It's the internet. Have some thick skin and don't report every little comment.

Call out the comment, fine. Save the reports to mods for truly egregious stuff.

So he has outs

I never liked huge contracts like that in any sport.  Most common was baseball players receiving that long a deal.  10 years is just way too long and anything can happen in that time span.  It's good for the player unless they change personnel and coaches and he ends up hating the situation.  What happens if Mahomes suffers a major injury 1-2 years in.  Something like Alex Smith.  I always thought 4-5 year deals are good for star or superstar players.  Just seems like it's rare that 10 year deals work out in baseball.  Cant imagine it would work better in football where your career isnt as long.

Neh, it will look like a good deal 4-5 years down the line when the market resets and the cap continues to go up. And they don't have to give him a third contract. Ton of money, but he deserves it.

If he wins a couple more SB's than it'll be worth it.

The Chiefs did something more impactful than the massive contract...they disrupted the incremental increases from 1-2 million to 7-8 million. They artificially raised the ceiling dramatically....I don't think it has anything to do with the Super Bowl...teams are now free to raise the benchmark so in 4-5 years the Chiefs will have a great deal on their franchise QB as he hits his prime. By then the going price will be well over 50 million moving to 60m. The Chiefs are just playing the long game...

That’s if you’re under the assumption they are tied to it for the full 10 years. He’s getting only a $10M signing bonus, most of his money comes from roster bonuses. He’s getting a lot, sure, but the team has outs. Some of it is player performance like $1M each year he wins MVP and $1M he makes the Super Bowl which no one will be complaining about. They structured his contract that really looks like two contracts since the major money doesn’t kick in until down the road. One way or the other, he’s not seeing this full deal from today until expiration.

Ahhh... I see.

This won’t end well.

Also, I completely agree those types of contracts are usually terrible in baseball. The one thing the NFL has got going for themselves from an ownership perspective is no fully guaranteed contracts unless it’s Kirk Cousins which was only 3 years

I wonder if quoting Hitler is something that can void a contract?

It seems like a pretty easy way to save us $24 million over the next three years.

I can't see him playing another down here or anywhere.

You're 180 degrees from being correct.

Looks like the NHL is ready to get moving.

NHL, players' union reach tentative agreement on return-to-play plan, CBA extension

Tl:dr:  if this vote passes:

July 13th - teams start training camps in their own cities.

July 26th - teams travel to Hub cities.  East conf. - Toronto, West conf. - Edmonton.  Begin exhibition games.

Aug 1st - NHL begins 24 team tourney.  Qualification round of 5-game series for Nos. 5-12 seeds in each conference (Flyers get a bye).  Then standard 7 game series.

Conference finals and Stanley Cup Final will be held in Edmonton.

Fingers crossed.

Not so much disgusting as extremely uninformed/misinformed.

He’s trying to post something pro-black rather than anti-Semitic .... but surely he must realize 1) Hitler viewed anyone non-Aryan as inherently inferior, and 2) Hitler never had any exposure or knowledge of US history or society
