I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I was going to post this in here cause it hits home hard for me. But i didn’t want to start a political or religious stream of posts. I can imagine what howie roseman and jeffery lurie are feeling as they are both Jewish as i am Jewish.

it’s actually not an actual quote from hitler. Even though it says it is. It’s been shown it’s not (language was a dead giveaway along with other things I’ll explain). But the fact he is using someone like hitler Like he would say that is amazing. Hitler hated everyone that was a perceived threat to his pure race, the Aryan race. In fact Hitler and the NSDAPs imprisoned and killed the Afro-Germans and called them the Rhineland b**tards. So it’s not something he would remotely agree with as his pure race were German, blue eyes, blond hair and white.

The fact is i don’t think desean even understands why it would offended Jews and we’d interpret it as anti-Semitic. It definitely is an anti Semitic quote that was supposed to be uplifting for African Americans and put down Jews at the same time. Also not helping his cause is that he’s praising Farrakhan who has called Jews termites, is misogynist, Hates gays and has said Hitler was a great man in the past (in his defense KD and Jameis Winston have supported Farrakhan too)

I can’t imagine Jeffrey Lurie and Howie Roseman being thrilled to see this all over his Instagram. I know when I saw that I was super offended. I was actually more sad and depressed because it was only 80 years ago that my family survived the Holocaust. But they had to live everyday with the pain and mental struggles of seeing their loved ones and friends get killed in gas chambers or other gruesome ways. And even today there’s still stuff out there like this and anti Semitic crimes have been rising each year. Heck 3 to 4 weeks ago ice cube on Twitter posted a bunch of anti-Semitic Memes and Russian propaganda that has been used against Jews. He then acted like it was an anti-Semitic and Jews don’t know what they should be offended by.

My wife, an island girl is going through beach withdrawal

So jealous.  Really want to hit the road but apprehensive to do so. Love the Snake River canyon area and Craters of the Moon is a favorite in Idaho.  Love the lava flows at Bend.   My wife has been out west to CA, OR and WA and seen most everything east of the Mississippi but hasn’t been further than the Black Hills, Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma.  We plan on renting an RV and a couple of trips to the middle states north and into Canada, then down into Idaho and Nevada   Then a second trip to Colorado, lower Nevada  and then AZ and New Mexico.  I figure Montana and Wyoming and up into Banff will let me know if I can drive the Million Dollar Highway in a rented RV. Were you camping?

We did the big west swing some years back.  Took three weeks to do a big loop from Denver up in Wyoming and then way back down thru Utah into Arizona and then back up.  Awesome stuff there.  Wyoming was probably my favorite.  We stayed on a ranch near Ten Sleep (about an hour south) and got up into Yellowstone and generally hiked, fished, etc.  Way awesome.

I have good friends (crunchy type) who live near Boulder and do a ton of stuff up in that area of the world.  Their fav place to visit is Glacier Park.  We never got up there but it seems great.

Just a prediction.  DJax and his PR team will take the "its not what I meant" defense.  A whole bunch of interpreters will come out of the woodwork on his side and it will be gone.  He won't be allowed to talk, since his true colors and intelligence  will come out.  And it wil all just go away.  In regular times, it's a big deal.  Today, I doubt that anyone wants to make a stand for fear of the "racist" label.

I wonder if this outrage and hate was what Malcolm Jenkins wanted, when he jumped on board the Kaep train. Somehow, I think he is probably concerned about what he took part in creating.

Wait a few years... blink and you'll be older than just about every player in the league.   I'm not there yet, but I am close.

I think I’m older than every player aside from Vinatieri.

Not so much disgusting as extremely uninformed/misinformed.

He’s trying to post something pro-black rather than anti-Semitic .... but surely he must realize 1) Hitler viewed anyone non-Aryan as inherently inferior, and 2) Hitler never had any exposure or knowledge of US history or society

Quoting Hitler is never a good idea unless you are quoting things not to believe.

no player is worth that type of long term commitment and, therefore, risk

I dunno. With almost any other player I would agree. 10 years is forever.

But has there even been a 24 years old, this talented, that has had an extension come up? One that already has the resume to boot? Ring, MVP and superbowl MVP? Gaudy stat seasons?

QBs can play for a fairly long time nowadays,  there is an excellent chance at 34 or 36 or he will get another big deal even if he plays out the full 10.

Although white people never get the benefit of the doubt,  it's important to consider uneducated does not equal racist, or anti-semetic.

I'm too dumb to see what's really bad there.  To me it looks like he is trying to highlight a part that basically says "black people are powerful." as a way to inspire his black community in these times.

I suspect that's all Jackson intended to do. I'm not gonna hate him for making a big mistake. I suspect it's completely innocent.

I would appreciate seeing him be made to apologize like white people always have to though.

I think he was just basically pointing out something crazy someone said. I don’t think it’s a big deal at all and think it’ll get brushed aside.

But let’s be real.... if Wentz, Ertz, or Kelce posted that, it’d be a whole different story

Well I'm not black but a black person quoting one the most racist persons of all times and the founder of the Aryan nation seems like you should know better. That said I don't think he is antisemitic.

Good news.  I was wrong.  He didn't retire, he's just unsigned.   Apparently, he wants to keep going.  But, I think that the Colts have moved on.

You and most Eagles fans who know and understand DJax and his past etc know he only meant it be some sort of "inspirational” quote for some of his followers, etc.

Unfortunately in the year 2020, "not knowing” any better won’t bode over well with the media.  Once the national press gets a hold of this, they will run with this story and will most likely do the best they can to make him out to be a villain.

I know there’s DJax haters that will come out of the woodwork among Eagles fans with things like "I told you so”, he’s a "cancer” and I wouldn’t be surprised if some actually try to spin this as him being a white person hater and a gang member, once again.

Last night I saw someone post about it on FB before I read or even heard about the story.  The guy posting about it was credible so I knew it probably had teeth to it.  I almost became instantly sick to the stomach....just thinking to myself, "WTH DJax, please don’t let this be true”. I was hoping he was wrong so I checked into the blog to see if it was true....and behold, the year 2020 strikes again.

DJax’s agent needs to be on this and his camp needs to immediately meet with the Eagles and put everything out on the table.  They need to come up with a serious game plan if Jackson wants any sort of chance of playing in the NFL again, let alone the Eagles.

The words shocked and seriously disappointed don’t even scratch the surface, in terms of the way I feel right now.

I’ve never seen a response from Jeffery Lurie like that; so fast and immediate.  I’m pretty sure that Tweet was straight from his fingertips...he probably didn’t even bother to check with the Eagles’ PR department or lawyers.  That’s how pissed he sounds.

Context and moment.  Brees.  I've cooled a bit, but gotta be consequences beyond one tweet.

There's only one play from Jackson's side..."I'm stupid and immature. I'm sorry for being that way and it leading to that offensive post.  I'm sorry.".....and that isn't good enough.

Same.

Funny enough....it hasn't even made it to ESPN.
