I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I doubt it.  I'd be shocked if Jackson and his agent aren't already on a plane to Philadelphia as we speak.  This isn't something that Jackson or the Eagles can easily brush to the side.

Pick 1 TE to play 99% of the snaps

pick 1 of the now remaining 3 TEs to backup and run 2 TE sets

pick 1 of the now remaining 2 TEs only see the field on special teams as the holder and in jumbo packages

trade the last TE for a 6th rd draft pick.

1. Ertz

2. Brent Celek

3. Keith Jackson

I would almost give Jackson a nod over Celek.

I was reading Mein Kampf the other day and a thought came to my mind.

No, I love them all

This.

There's no way anyone could justify Ertz getting 99% of the snaps over Keith Jackson . Ertz would edge him out but Keith Jackson was a legitimate deep threat as a TE...which is not even heard of nowadays.  I could agree with Ertz getting something like a 70% of the snap ratio but not 99%....not vs Keith Jackson.

And I can't see anyone picking a clear side between Chad Lewis and Brent Celek...they almost mirrored each other in terms of playing style, with Celek being the slightly better blocker and Lewis being the slightly better receiver.  The edge would go to Celek, imo...but it's somewhat close.

Ertz, Jackson, huge gap, Celek, monster gap, Lewis.

I’d rather have Goedert over Celek and Lewis.

I don't know if Kelly did mess it up.  He left it up to the players and it was really Mike Vick who led the decision to keep Cooper on the team.  I do think he's going to have to reach out to Lurie.  I don't think Lurie is going to give him a pass or make a knee jerk decision to keep him.  Lurie is Jewish.

Yup Vick was the one who saved cooper from likely being cut. I think most of us on the board at that time wanted cooper gone. Even with the depth issues the eagles had at WR that year a lot of people wanted cooper gone. Later on when Vick went to the jets, he was pretty upset at cooper after cooper got his extension cause cooper never responded to his texts and Vick felt like if not for him he’d never have had the opportunity to get that extension. And cooper just ignored him.

that said f*** Cooper. They should’ve released him. I still believe that they should’ve

not just reach out to lurie but also howie. Howie is also Jewish.

I didn't want Cooper gone and I don't want Jackson gone. Cooper was drunk and stupid, Jackson might have been drunk or high and stupid hard to tell from a tweet and the very least Jackson was stupid but I don't think he hates Jews.

There are certain musical artists that I like that have done or are accused of doing some pretty messed up things.  I’m able to compartmentalize and just enjoy the music because it reminds me of my youth. My sister and her husband were in town this weekend and of course we were partying and had Alexa on all weekend.  Numerous times my sister said, " I used to like this persons music, but now that they did ....or said ......”.  I’m thinking, just live life.    Same with this stuff.  I’m not going to give into the cancel culture and "cancel” the NFL from my life.  Just like with friends and family, you take the good with the bad.    But we’re all free to do as we please.  It’s just my opinion.

Appreciate your opinion. Thanks

Huge gaps?  So you would give Celek 99% of the snaps vs Keith Jackson?

I would take Celek over Lewis but I really don't think there's a "huge" gap between the two.  Different eras, etc.

Obviously, a firm and genuine apology from Jackson first.  Then let it be known it's not an excuse but that Jackson tragically misinterpreted and misunderstood the quote as it being something "inspirational" for the black community, when in reality, it's the opposite and nothing more than evil propaganda, meant to mislead and to cause further division among people.

Kelly absolutely messed up and that decision lingered with many players. It still does today.

Yes, there was a huge gap between Jackson and Celek.

Don’t even want to look at ice cube’s tweets from around June 10th. Basically praised Farrakhan and had antisemitic memes/propaganda as well.
