It still makes NO SENSE.  Why would Metah, a Jets BEAT REPORTER, tweet a possible trade target and say "he's really good"?

Who's he directing it towards?  Joe Douglas?

C'mon, This is nonsense.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Think a good chance they go OL/DL in round 1 and go receiver with a trade up in round 2.

If I recall correctly, there wasn't even a claim that the information came from an Eagles' official.

I’d have to go back and re-listen to zangaro, kempski and berman. But I’m pretty sure each talked about eagles sources telling them some things. It didn’t come from them making it up. So someone had to be a source. I’m guessing it didn’t come from someone outside the organization.

As an early 200s WWE (WWF) fan I hated how they evolved Kane.  He was so good as a mysterious villain with no voice.

Haven't watched it since it was WWF. Damn. Wtf happened to Kanes costume? Undertaker went through so many different phases during his career lol

Could be to jets fans who know nothing about dillard except for the fact we took him last year and he didn’t play and sat behind peters most of the year.

again it makes no sense if the eagles believe he’s the guy still.

If the eagles DONT anymore then it makes sense that Douglas was connected to dillard as he was with us last year when we selected him and it could be possible douglas banging the table for him and we moved up for him. Does it make sense if stoutland and Doug go to howie and say we don’t see it with dillard? I’m guessing their opinion probably matters.

The issue is we have no privy to that information. so it could just be BS like you are saying. or it could make sense again if the eagles from stoutland to Doug to now howie have soured.

I think there's enough stories that I believe they would consider trading Dillard.  Howie would be dumb if he wasn't calling the Jets and trying to figure out what Douglas wants to do with the pick. If I was Howie I would certainly see how interested Douglas might be in Dillard.

I recall his American BadA$$ phase during the height of Kid Rock's career. That was interesting.

See, that's more realistic.

Rasul, 21, 53, and a 2021 day 2 pick to move up an get Lamb or Ruggs.

That's a Howie move.  And the numbers add up (without Douglas included)

I don't want to go back to Peters for the season:sad:

I was all ready for Dillard to take the mantle. Also no more false starts would be great

not for what we need in philly though.

If you read Cimini's report, it seems like the trade becomes more of a possibility if the top 3 tackles are off the table.  I think if it happens it's happening based on who is there at 10.

Rumor is Howie's trading Wentz, Dillard, Jeffery, and all our picks to Cincy for #1 and then he's picking Chase Young! We'll have the most dominant Dline in the NFL!!!

The ONLY way any of this makes sense to me is IF Joe Douglas was the lone voice pushing for Dillard last year AND would still covet him AND the Eagles feel like they saw enough last season to give up on him.

It makes no sense at all as an opportunity to "upgrade."  We just have too damn many other needs without creating yet another one - and as others have said, made no preparations for this move during FA...

Huh?? So you're saying Jeudy is on the board after 21 and we didn't take him and took Jefferson instead?  Please go back to Philadelphiaeagles.com.......

This is assuming there’s truth to the knee rumor that was floated out today and he falls because of it. Please nip the elitist mentality. There is no divide between the old forum and the new.

OK how much of this is just BS or is Howie really up to something?  Is CeeDee his must have guy or do we get an Earl Thomas situation where it they trade up to 11 only to take a guard.

Thank you. I’ve said for a while i dont think dillard is some untouchable like people making him out to be or they wouldn’t listen if a team came calling. Especially with peters just sitting out there and a really good tackle class. Just cause they drafted him doesn’t mean they if they might not have soured on him.  If you don’t believe in him anymore I’m guessing they probably don’t want him being the guy to protect wentz

We don’t have all the info to know how the eagles feel on him currently. Just reports from multiple reporters that they’ve been told. It could be just complete BS or it also could have some legs if the eagles/stoutland/Doug/howie soured on him but joe douglas is still high on him.

Not only that what if stoutland went to the eagles said i don’t see it with dillard and i can’t make him what you guys expected When you moved up.

if the eagles Do move on from dillard then i think stoutland is a big part of why from who he loves in this draft and what he sees working with dillard. If he believed dillard was that guy i don’t think the eagles remotely consider dealing him. Which still might be the case

I realize it's a hypothetical on your part, but this doesn't make a lot of sense.  He wouldn't have been on the Eagles board (much less a round 1 target) if the developmental skills weren't there -- Stoutland would have had significant input in the trade-up decision.  Dillard didn't get into enough game action in his first season to damage his stock to that extent.  If people think he sucked at RT, then that's too bad.  Lane Johnson has played RT for 7 years and his ability or lack thereof to play LT has never affected his future with the Eagles -- translation: put Dillard at LT and leave him at LT if he stinks as a RT.

Whoever these beat writers are using as a source, I don't believe it's Stoutland, Pederson, Roseman, or anyone close to that level.  I guess we may see later tonight, though.

If they were to do this, Id hope its for Ruggs. Jeudy and Lamb are the better college players, but neither is anything like a generational talent worth this kind of move. Ruggs really isnt either but he at least has something truly elite athletically, and that aligns with the trait we need most.

And Id hope to be getting a Jets 3rd rounder back. Ruggs, and two 3rds can end up a real nice haul.

Or if Jeff stoutland doesn’t like dillard or what he saw or he wasn’t listening to him. The organization could have soured on him with his attitude and how he wasn’t responding to stoutland.

i think you guys overlook how much pull stoutland has with the oline. It could very well be stout Telling him after spending a year with him he doesn’t see it.

Again pure hypothetical at the moment. he could still love him. If they love him still none of this makes sense.

People have not forgotten that all these trade up rumors started at the combine. With the Browns and Jets. Eagles have huge connections to those front offices.

We are hearing a huge run on tackles early. This could end up being a real scenario.

Dunno. The article says he was just picking up something from his house. Not really sure what is allowed and what isn't when it comes to offseason rules.

Just picking something up sounds suspicious. Although we would normally be in offseason workouts this week for returning head coaches like Arians, this would still be phase one where only strength and conditioning coaches can have contact. Post draft camp is first time coaches can have contact.  This smells.

His logic is that they didn't like how he made excuses about it and didn't fight through it, which seems like a blanket guess. A reporter specifically asked Dillard what the biggest transition going from LT to RT is and he talked about how it would be like a righty trying to write left-handed. He wasn't making excuses, he was talking about why it's a unique transition.

Try switching your lead foot just taking off to run sometime.  And that is simple.  Switching from LT to RT having never done it before isn’t going to be easy.
