Kelly absolutely messed up and that decision lingered with many players. It still does today.

Cutting or not cutting Riley Cooper was the least of Kelly's mistakes.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

You can be ignorant and attend the best universities in the world. We see it all the time.

Kind of assuming desean really went to class and paid attention. That’s more of me having gone to school and took classes with football and basketball players and a good majority of them couldn’t have cared less.

Id like to know how what desean posted is racist???

The quote calls out zionism. Anti Zionism isnt racist or ant semitic, which is what is and is always claimed when Zionism is called out

Call israel out for killing palestinians and one is an anti semite, call out the US for funding palestinian genocide and one is a anti semite.😒

How bout we call it what it is, anti genocide, anti war, anti jews slaughtering palestinians.

Nothing about deseans posted quote was racist or inappropriate unless one is offended by one being called a Zionist, and it hasnt been proven to have bern said by hitler.

If Noam Chomsky whom is a jew and an anti Zionist posted the same thing and he has made similar comments,no one would dare call him an anti semite but if a black athlete unbeknownst to himself calls out Zionism all the sudden hes an Anti Semite and needs to be educated???

Eff that. Eff Zionism and all those who claim anti semitism whenever accused of zionism.

Having said that, be smarter Desean, if you post an anti Zionism quote at least know you are doing it and stand behind it for the right reasons.

KJack down the field was a terror 25-40 yards downfield. You weren’t catching up to him off a free jam. He didn’t have breakaway speed when he caught the ball but without it, safeties and lbs had no chance. He also broke tackles pretty well.

Ertz can’t be covered by one guy in the 5-20 yard range. Doesn’t matter if it’s a cb, safety, lb, whatever. Better hands than KJack. More reliable.

celek and Lewis are zone busters but not with vertical speed. They find holes in zones and are reliable catching. Both are better blockers than the aforementioned (Celek is the best blocking TE I’ve ever seen). However before we start burying KJack and Ertz as poor blockers, remember KJack was from Oklahoma and they ran the wishbone. He could run block. And Ertz has come a long way as a blocker.

kJack is more talented than Ertz but I trust Ertz more when the game is on the line.

Celek is just a better player than Chad all-around.

Best blocking Eagle TE, perhaps, but there have been quite a few better blockers.

Mark Bavaro, Dave Casper,  John Mackey, Marv Fleming, Paul Seymour. Of the current group I'd say Gronk and Marcedes Lewis are better.

What he posted specifically targeted and mentioned "White Jews". Zionism or Palestinians weren't mentioned once in the quote.

Miles looked great in his combine pass-catching drills. He was one of the guys that stood out to me during those drills. He clearly put in a lot of work after his final season at PSU. With the deal that McCaffrey got, I'd expect we'll be seeing an influx of pass-catching RBs the next few years. The one-dimensional RB will soon be a thing of the past.

This goes back to what I wrote responding to you with people on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. Like hypothetically if a white person posted a KKK leader quote saying blacks were exploiting and blackmailing America then blacks would extremely likely be offended and have every right to be offended. Now just replace the blacks With white Jews in the Hypothetical and that’s why it becomes offensive and antisemitic.

I thought (incorrectly) almost all of his catches were screens or behind the line of scrimmage but that video shows some real big boy receptions.  He has a looooonnnggg way to go before he can get on McCaffery's level as a route runner but still that's about as promising a rookie showing as anyone could have hoped for.  Kid could be a star.

It’s not defensible.  Not for any reason and not at his age with the platform he has.  Any public  figure needs to do his or her due diligence when posting on social media, etc.

I understand his apology and I’m ok with moving forward...but at the same time, something should be done in terms of education, etc and he should (preferably on his own) use his platform towards educating people, his fan base, his followers, etc on the dangers of promoting unsubstantiated, false conspiracy theories, especially when they regard any race or religion.

I'd take Jackson over Ertz.  Put Jackson in today's NFL and a true WC offense compared to whatever the hell that was back during Buddy Ball years and he would be a superstar.

It's different eras but I think Jackson had 2 very good seasons where he was dominant.  He did not have the longevity that Ertz has had.  Ertz is a potential HOF candidate.  Jackson did not have that type of career.

13 minutes ago, 4for4EaglesNest said:

Imagine Keith Jackson getting spoon fed the ball to him like Ertz does in this offense.

Yup. Ertz has been the focal point of the passing game and while jackson was a main target as well his qb wasnt routinely throwing the ball 40 times a game pmys back then they ran the ball more and teams didnt run as many total offensive plays and defenses could actually play defense unlike today.

Goedert already is a better blocker. Celek is quickly becoming one of the more overrated Eagles in here.

He was teasing the hell out of us for weeks. It was always a pipe dream but damn that Dline would have been unstoppable

Yeah I've been trying to follow that situation but alls quiet still.  Probably partly them not getting the compensation they want and partly everyone being hesitant to make big moves with the season in flux.  Who knows

Wasn’t even a hitler quote. It says hitler. It’s been proven to be falsified as he never even said it. The ridiculousness someone would even claim hitler said it when he also murdered and imprisoned black humans

Even dumber then

When talking about " White jews" are western world or American jews.

The quote is about the relationship that America will have with Israel or the jews through the white jews in America.

Either way there is nothing racist or in sensitive about the post to jews unless one is compliant in the claim of the post which is that the US is in cahoots with israel which we are, so...
