Gotcha. Speaking of glaze, you ever make your own from the drippings?

My brother in law made an awesome peach glaze from drippings and i have no idea how but it was magical.

Many times.  Decided not to last night.

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Yuk only time ive had collard greens was when i was in the clink so maybe not the best judge of collard greens.😉

Collards done right are great.  Collards done wrong are torture.   I've never done them right, never even tried.   But, I have a friend who does... fatback, garlic, salt and some other secrets he won't share.

I don't mind a bit.  You need to separate the fat, and then you can use the drippings to thin whatever you want as the base for the glaze.

In the case of your brother in law, he likely used a peach jelly as the base, and thinned it with the drippings.    I did that once with apricot jelly.

With a fat separator.  lol

Something like this.  Pours from the bottom, as fat floats.

We need a food thread so I can start collecting new ideas and printing these out:lol:

To be fair I'm pretty sure you could cook a turd with fatback and garlic and it would be solid.

That being said I do like me some good collard greens now and then.

Mine recently broke, which is why I didn't use the drippings to thin last night.  Just used the vinegar... and I wanted something different.

Fair!   🤣

In the present heightened times, I've seen this phrase used a lot "ignorance is not an excuse".  Now, I think Desean is just flat out ignorant and undoubtedly exploring the world outside of the NFL as it's the done thing in his peer group, but his comments are not the most intelligent and put his employer and his team mates in a tricky position.

Where the NFL (and sports) has got itself into a tricky position is as they allow more political expression, there are unintended consequences for players who would previously would not have gone there and applying a consistent standard.

Yep.  I make good ones for a yankee.  I use the "country” ham that is popular down here.  Or a hock.  But like I said, a lot of people use smoked turkey legs.

I've heard good things about those, but never had them myself.

That’s a helluva troll job by DeAndre Hopkins.

Some of these players have less brain cells than a kumquat. Social media is one of the worst things for stupid people. If they want to do social media take tips from Torrey Smith.

To be fair, I was going for Ronde Barber with that, but I guess it works both ways

They are definitely out in full forced today on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.

Agree, especially ones who believe everything that they read on the Socials and don't take the time to properly research stuff.

If more NFL players were like Torrey Smith in mindset, the world would be a better place.

Nah torrey smith only like ranch

Nah, he trashed Blue Cheese, F that guy

Well, I have no dressing on salads at all.  In fact, I still have the salad dressing that a Korean shop owner made me take away when I bought a salad in New York last year. He wouldn't take no for answer.

For anyone wanting the Eagles to cut DeSean.  😂🤣  I think I only counted 2.

How dumb can you be?  Let's dump the best deep threat of all time (when not injured I get it) FOR THE 2ND TIME for a stupid reason.  He had absolutely no idea what he was doing with that post.  He's an idiot.  And that's ok.  Forgive, forget, and please for the love of God let Carson finally have a proven deep threat for more than 1 game this year?  Is that too much to ask?
