Because a lot of them who read that don’t believe it’s hate speech they believe it’s actual fact And associate Judaism with being a race

The problem with that is Judaism is not a race. it is a religion like Christianity or Mormon or Catholic or Islamic. You can be Asian and be Jewish. You can be black and be Jewish. You can be white and be Jewish. You can be Native American and be Jewish. You can be Latino and be Jewish. You are Jewish by mother side. However you can have Jewish blood in family line dating all the way back. However we all go back to somewhere in our heritage. most people along the way likely had some Jewish ancestry in their family tree just matters how far you go back.

Stephen Jackson mentioned that he knows nothing about Hitler and that he didn't read DeSean's message, so nothing is out of the realm of possibilities as far as being brain dead or tone deaf. Some of these guys have the critical and analytical thinking of 12 year olds, so I treat them as such. Most athletes sleep-walk through high school and college academics and pass their classes if they have a pulse because that's how it works. Stephen Jackson was ruled academically ineligible to go to college at the University of Arizona and spent one semester at a community college. Kyrie Irving thinks/thought the world was flat. Some of these guys are as intellectually incapable and ignorant as a bag of rocks because they don't know better, yet they have platforms to spew their foolishness.

I said earlier that I don't think DeSean hates Jews and is an anti-Semitic person. I just think he's too dumb and ignorant to realize the historical consequences of what he posted. It doesn't excuse him, but I think it came from a place of idiocy rather than hatred. I'd venture out to say that there's probably a 75% chance he has no idea what the Holocaust is/was. 

DeSean did say he gets things sent to him a lot.

It's not crazy to think he saw that, read up to that part and immediately thought it was something he could re-post and impress others with.

He may be a more mature and responsible adult than he was when he was last here, but on social media, many adults still act like dumb a** teenagers.

Well Stephen Jackson remove that post but kept a couple others. So clearly somebody told him to take it off his Instagram cause he came off even worse than desean did. Like i said earlier in this thread Stephen Jackson is a moron. Have had former coaches under lute Olsen tell me he was one of the least intelligent (putting it mildly here) players they recruited. To the point they couldn’t even get him into Arizona and they tried everything. So it doesn’t surprise me Jackson has no idea who hitler even is. 

A lot of athletes are dumb as hell. It’s become quite obvious.

I really don't want to re-kindle that era at all but there was a solid 50% of the fan-base around here that totally bought into DeSean being a cancer and a gang member.  I almost lost my mind over it...eventually Nick Foles and LeSean McCoy came out and (pretty much) said that wasn't the case.  And then guess what happened?  He ships both of them out of town next. 

It's one thing to cut or trade a player...it's something else to try to justify it by leaking a bunch of nonsense to the media, tarnishing that player's reputation, on his way out.  That's what aggravated me the most about that situation.

I'll say one thing for DeSean he is doing everything in his power to fix a very stupid post. Brees on the other hand apologized but I really didn't think what he said was all that bad. He kind of mirrors my thoughts. I'm not kneeling for the national anthem but I'm in agreement that things need to change.
