Gross. I wanted to take my kids outside this morning but at 10 am my weather app said "feels like 100.” Eff that. My son can do workout videos on YouTube for exercise.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Frankly, based on what the morning humidity was today while mowing the lawn... I'd have preferred the Tempe, AZ weather.   At least there in the early morning, its actually not bad at all.   (I was mowing at 7:30.)

Maybe he should take a trip to a concentration camp museum in Europe. I suspect he can afford it.

I don't think the EU is letting Americans in for the time being but there is a pretty good holocaust museum in DC.

A day after Brees said he didn't agree with disrespecting the flag during the national anthem, and many athletes including Brees' New Orleans Saints teammates blasted him, Sharpe had his say. On FS1's "Undisputed,” Sharpe said he doesn't respect Brees anymore, and that Brees should "probably retire.”

Los Angeles (AFP) - The wife of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees said on Sunday they received death threats over his comments about athletes protesting during the American national anthem.

"Until we experienced the death threats, we experienced the hate, did I realize that these words were speaking directly to us. How could anyone who knows us or has had interactions with us think that Drew or I have a racist bone in our body?" Brittany Brees wrote in a social media post.

There is plenty more of that to go around. I’d say it’s pretty safe to say his name was smeared.

The reaction,  or lack of reaction I should say, from the media and the NFL players to Jackson’s comments are pretty eye opening in comparison.

I am not sure that black athletes feel it is there place to call out antisemitism in the same way they can speak about prejudice that has impacts them.  I have seen several black athletes have condemned his comments.  I mean jews in football have called for harsh sanctions against Desean. Joe Banner said the Eagles should consider cutting him.  Just as Sharpe's reaction is in context to his race as is Banner's.  Listen to Schwartz's reaction:

The people that we should listen to in terms of reaction are the people who are most impacted by antisemitism.

But it's a dry heat right?

I think the timing certainly matters a great deal, but I wouldn’t say no one would have batted an eye though.

It’s amazing how many Cowboys fans are also Bulls fans...

It’s actually hotter up in Phoenix/Tempe area. I’m down in Tucson which is an hour south. But it is nice in the morning  around 3-8am. However we’ve not had rain since middle of April so it’s been brutal. monsoon season started for us June 25 (idk how they determine it just the news keeps saying it) and we’ve had nothing.

I watched this yesterday. (I loved his point on race and Judaism. It’s what i kind of touched on earlier). Someone asked him about Stephen Jackson (he since took down the video) on twitter as well but he really didn’t elaborate.

Which were athletes who came to condemn (not that we needed them too to say it’s wrong but i do appreciate it). I ask cause once Stephen Jackson went off on Instagram was basically blasted over my social media yesterday so it was hard to see anything else.

Yep. Instead of feeling like a sauna you feel like a Thanksgiving turkey getting cooked.

Depends on if we get a monsoon or not. Like if it rains it temporarily cools off but the next day when it’s hot again it also comes with higher humidity numbers then normal so it’s 106-107 with like 50-60 humidity.

honestly when it gets to 110-115 even with dry heat it’s unbearable. Get into your car and the temp says 156 and your seat burns you. Lol

Just went for a 12 mile bike ride at lunch. It wasn't that bad honestly. Last night seemed way hotter.

Great route and great throw. Wentz has a guy right in his face doesnt have his feet set and with a flick of his wrist places the ball in the perfect place.

Thats an all pro throw.

Good thing he isn’t a white republican like Brees, otherwise his apology wouldn’t have been accepted.

Wonder which one was more offensive, Brees or Djax?  Depends on what race you ask I guess.

We get a few 100+ degree days here but those are just short peaks in temperature.  My plan those days is to just stay in the AC.

One guy endorsed a quote that he thought was from Hitler. The other guy said he doesn't want to disrespect his flag. Seems obvious to me.

I try to avoid going out during long stretches of the summer like June to end of July cause it’s routinely 100-115 from about 10-7 at night.

Normal capacity is around 71,000 so back of the napkin math, they would allow at most slightly under 20%

It sucks, but at least you don’t have to deal with the winter. It’s a great trade off imo.

Here we go

I am going to bury myself in BBQ videos on Youtube and imagine what it would be like if everyone could just get together over a fire with meat cooking.  I'll even throw on some veggies for those poor souls who want to be vegetarian or even vegan.

The social media storms from these situations aren't going to fix anything.  Its just going to get any side to entrench in their point of view.

What he did was akin to people responding to Black Lives Matter with Blue Lives Matter. It really wasn’t the time to post what he did. It was a time to listen, just as it was during the protests.

Alshon will be everyone's favorite receiver again by the end of the week at this rate.
