Inside the birds brought up a good point today on their podcast about playing in pandemic. What would happen if coaches test positive? First you have the problem of, whose going to replace them on game day if they call plays. Like if Shwartz gets it, does Burke take over? What if Doug gets it, who calls O? Outside of that, if coaches were in group meetings the day before, do they all have to quarantine? If Press Taylor gets it and was in a QB room and close enough to all the QB's, do they all quarantine?

It's really just not going to work, is it?

The rule is you have to hold your breath while blocking or making a tackle.

Anyone who gets the wind knocked out of them will be assessed a 15 yard penalty.

Right? If the league made money off post game handshakes they would require post game handshakes😒

 

I think we're all smart enough to figure out the half measures the NFL is considering won't have an effect on Covid transmissions. It's all about trying to keep the league from getting sued if someone gets sick.

They're either gonna have to cancel the season or play the games and hope for the best.

It was mentioned. I think its apparent that desean isnt the only black athlete on the eagles let alone the league with similar views. Desean just happened to be the first to share them publicly and took the brunt of the ensuing firestorm.

Geoff Schwartz (former offensive lineman who is Jewish) said that he didn't expect many to come out against DeSean's comments. That there's a lot of underlying anti-Semitism within the players of the league. He talked about how a lot of players were oblivious or ignorant to his religion and mentioned a time when he was in the cafeteria with a player who told him if he wanted to be saved he needed to convert and if he didn't he was going to hell.
