Just pointing out when i made a post earlier today i compared guys in big 5 conference. Top guys they’ve drafted over the last 15 years from each conference. They haven’t been overly great in the acc either. In fact Clemson besides Dawkins they really haven’t had success with the school. they’ve Somehow been worse drafting in the acc than the pac 12. (With huff that to me was a classic chip wanted and chip got. But he did suck. I could’ve told you he wouldn’t transition well and i don’t work for the eagles.)

the bigger issue is the top 5 SEC players they have drafted in the last 15 years were cox, Logan, Matthews, Barnett and mills. Besides cox that’s not exactly thrilling for SEC.

Kempski doesn't put things out there that aren't true in my experience.  He tends to be pretty conservative and differentiates between what he thinks the team will do vs. what sources are telling him.  He is also known to the Eagles FO and coaching staff.  So I think if he has a source it's a good source that is comfortable with him printing what the source is saying.  

If the WRs are gone i am fine with Murray. we desperately need a three down LB

 

That picture of Reagor reminds me of Maclin.  Similar build. Haven't looked at the measurables side by side. Are they similar?

That’s why i said when he was adamant about it that it means someone told him it that he really trusts. Might not like kempski but he’s usually not the guy that just throws things out there and then doubles And tripled down on it.

Is Murray a 3 down LB? I thought the concern with him is that he didn't have to cover much in college.

Anyone else getting the feeling that these rumors are a Howie Roseman masterpiece? He has somehow obfuscated a scenario where a team has ONE, and I mean ONE, NFL caliber healthy receiver on the team into one where nobody knows which direction he will go.

Bravo! Although I think the more sophisticated front offices aren’t fooled.

I don’t really like Kempski’s stick figures or how much he S talks players as a reporter, but I find him to be the best beat reporter when it comes to having the pulse of the team. I don’t really doubt him too much.

I think so. Feel the same way about Queen (like Queen a little better due to elite athleticism imo). Now, I wouldn't be upset if the Eagles wait until the 3rd to address the position but see these two as potential studs in our defense, especially considering the strength we have at DT.

We agree they haven't drafted well overall. My point is when they have two options like last year with JJ or DK go SEC. Yes, DK was hurt, but if a coin is being flipped go with SEC IMO.

Murray has the athleticism to do it, but it’s total projection if he can do it in the pros. He didn’t do it enough for me to feel comfortable in round 1.

I think he's toned that down but yeah he has gone overboard in the past.

I brought this up yesterday. JJAW wasn’t the only issue with his drafting. Hey had it down to Campbell and JJAW over guys like mclaurin. Like metcalf and some others. That to me says more than just drafting JJAW. The guy they would’ve taken besides JJAW in Campbell also wasn’t very good. 

So Daniel Jeremiah has us picking Murray at 21 because all of the WRs are gone, but then has NO picking Reagor at 24 because they need a speed receiver.  Ok.  Why not just pick the speed receiver that we need at 21?
