I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I wish i could answer more but my depth on that topic probably ends with that. I was actually thinking about going and talking to a local rabbi at my synagogue about the Hebrew Israelites and their claims but when i go I’ll be sure to ask more in-depth questions about belief in hell and I’ll specifically ask about sheol.

here’s another think that Black Hebrew Israelites believe i remembered this so i was able to find it

No problem. I’m still trying to educate myself on some of the matters at hand. Like Over this pandemic since the George Floyd protests been doing more listening to black people speak on how they feel and researching more history. Honestly didn’t expect antisemitism to rear it’s ugly head (Like obviously it’s increasing each year but really nationally not exploding like it did besides when those synagogues got shot up) again but then again 2020 seemingly bringing out the worst of the world to social media.

Nah, Gingers will find offense to that. You are going to have to go with like, Butter Pecan

Going to call BS on this. They are concerned with their $$$, not their safety. NFL players are traveling and working out together in groups with no problem. Some are also hosting parties or going out to bars at 1AM. Generally speaking, of course. I'm sure there are some that are concerned about safety.

I get that we're all different, but what I've struggled with my whole life is why hate someone just because of their ethnic background. I really thought that we had come a long ways as a society from racism as it was when I was a kid. We don't have some of the exclusions we did back then, but it seems under the surface there is still a lot of hate by everyone.

Tim Hasselbeck was on a couple weeks ago talking about how they may leverage the players and make them sound contradictory based on the bolded above. Guys like Brady are having workouts with players in Florida against gathering protocols and a lot of guys are posting their group workouts on social media.

I thought we’d be further along from where we’ve been but i don’t think person to person it’s advanced far enough in the years I’ve been alive. I think before social media people could hide it better but on social media people get heated and lose their cool and reveal who they are or what they’ve been hiding.

This is a pretty good summary of the players’ concerns.

Most players dont see a second contract and the average time a player spends in the nfl is less than 3 years. Ave per player according to this is about 860,000 not chump change but not millions either.

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/02/01/heres-what-the-average-nfl-players-makes-in-a-season.html

Let’s put it in another perspective.   The minimum salary is $480,000. I was an executive for a large multinational corporation and never made $480,000 in a year.  How many in here make that much or more?  Let’s say a career of three years.  That’s $1,440,000. Given how short an NFL career can be, any player that doesn’t sock away a good portion of their salary isn’t thinking straight.  Yes, the NFL and NFLPA need to develop safety protocols but let’s not pretend the players are paupers.  Practice squad players get $8,000 a week, at least.  That’s $136,000 a year.  All the UFDAs got signing bonuses and some got a level of guarantees. This isn’t the NFL of greend’s, JR’s or my youth.  Players then had offseason jobs because most couldn’t live on an NFL salary.

It makes sense. The NFLPA came out and said don't do group workouts, yet players went out against that and did group workouts. Most of the time you can't even tell if any precautions whatsoever are being taken. And it's not just Brady. Eagles have been doing it a ton. Slay invited people from the Detroit community to work out with him. Almost the whole D-line worked out together and took pictures of everyone shoulder to shoulder.

Doesnt help when government leaders, not just US leaders, promote ,endorse justify or fail to condemn it which emboldens people to do the same.

The problem isn't emboldening, the problem is having the hatred to begin with. Government  leaders are not at fault in this particular issue................................we the people are.

And? I don't think that's antisemitic is it?

It's awfully rude and presumptuous.

It's basically say I have the TRUTH, and if you don't believe as I do you will burn in hell.

It also presumes the person being proselytized has never thought about religion, the origin of the universe, etc.

Of course, there's this perspective:  "heaven for climate, hell for company!”

Heaven goes by favor. If it went by merit, you would stay out and your dog would go in.

Sure, because that's the belief. So if I believe that you are going to hell and I have the truth to stop that from happening I shouldn't share that with you? It's still 100% up to you whether or not you want to believe it, you're still grown up enough to make up your own mind and it still has nothing to do with antisemitism. It has no context in a conversation about the tweet that DeSean sent out.

You have players that literally walk around locker rooms telling each other to get Fed but they get offended because someone told them they are going to hell and they don't believe it. Weird world we live in.

No, you shouldn't share with me if I don't invite you to - this is why I hate religious fundamentalists of all stripes - because they think they have sole possession of the TRUTH, they don't feel obligated to observe social boundaries. My "soul" is my business, not yours.

I have people proselytize me my whole life, and yes, I resent it. It's impolite. Bad manners - and manners are the key to civilization.

I married into an Evangelical Christian family (my wife had fled to the People's Republic of Austin), they made a couple attempts, after I politely rebuffed them it stopped.

I don't question their beliefs and made it clear that mine were none of their business.

Wow, now is that so hard if someone tries to talk to you about it?  Nah. I have people of other faiths that want to talk about it, if I'm not interested I just say no thanks. Now if you said no thanks and they still kept on then yes I would agree with you that's bad manners. Other than that conversation is conversation.

"Concrete Charlie" - Chuck Bednarik got that nickname because he was a concrete salesman in the offseason... even DURING the season, as well.

Do it, just don't share it.   Like I said... the social media thing is hurting them right now more than its helping.
