They already issued a statement saying it’s not practical so I’m just going to take their word for it

Things change when that much money is on the line. Link to this statement?

All I could find is they wouldn't rule out moving teams from CA in May.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

Besides Geoff Schwartz, Julian Edelman, Chris Long, Zach Banner and others? The Brees story died as it should have a day later.  This story hasn’t. In part because there is an fairly long-standing  antisemitic black nationalist movement. But let’s not pretend he hasn’t been called out and criticized. That’s a false narrative.

I think what hes trying to get at is why didnt black players call him out?  Just a guess.

It has nothing to do with black players calling out Desean. It's the fact that there's a growing group of professional athletes that scream and point fingers at every perceived microagression. Then they lecture society about tolerance, respect, ending bigotry, etc. It's THOSE PEOPLE that have been silent regarding the DJax incident. To make matters worse, what DJax posted went well beyond the typical microagression that seemingly would set them off.

Also, as I asked earlier, where is the Eagles' or the League's response to Malik Jackson's praise of Farrahkan?

Thought experiment: what would happen if Wentz went on social media and praised Richard Spencer? It would be THE story in not just the sports world, but the political world too. He'd probably be released from the team, and rightfully so. The Richard Spencers occupy the same intellectual space as the Louis Farrakhans; they believe in supremacy for their race and they bathe themselves in racial hatred.

Personally, I'm disgusted by the fact that Malik Jackson wasn't immediately released.

Sorry for the continued rant, but lecturing people from the high ground requires one thing above all else: moral consistently.

I mean i don’t really care if players come out and say it. I do think it speaks volumes about portions of people only really want to fight for the cause when they are close to it. My actual issue was more of the usage of if you are silent about injustices then you are part of the problem. To me you can’t say that then pick and choose when you should speak out and not with injustice. They all have to be treated equally.

It's no secret that African American racism towards whites is perfectly acceptable in this country. Not new.  Im not surprised that no one cared.

Not sure if you're referring to me but no. When he said players called Jackson out I thought he meant in an aggressive and negative tone. Kind of like cursing him out or something and I hadn't seen anything like that. There's been active and former players that have made comments indirectly to Jackson but about it and some that directly named him.

So the doctor said they don't need to sequester the players. Not the same as the NFL saying it's not practical logistically to do it in Florida. Well, we'll see what happens.

If you try to convert any person of a different religion on the basis that a failure to convert damns that person, it is anti their religion.  I know you believe you are trying to help the person and you know the way to salvation.  Please understand that folks like Afan and me and possibly e-a-g-l-e-s and D7 don’t see it that way and youR position seems a hateful to us.  (My way or eternal damnation.)  I tolerate it a bit because I don’t want to offend because I don’t take my agnosticism as seriously as a devout Christian, such as yourself, takes your religion.  As I think you have gathered, Afan and I have scholastically reviewed many religions.  I would bet, having read the Bible cover to cover that I have read more of it than a lot of Christians and also have read quite a few scholars on that religion and others. (Fascinating book, The Bible as History). But, and this is key, such a statement as referenced does not respect my beliefs and thus is offensive to me. So yes, I believe, it does not respect a person that follows Judaism and as such might well be interpreted as anti-Semitic if said in the example posited.

it does offend me. i also dislike people refer to Judaism as a race. Drives me crazy more than that.

There is racism towards all races.  But it seems maybe some shout it out more than others.

Because they view it as attacking their own and they wont' go that route. I have more of an issue with the hypocrisy. Black people rightfully don't want to be stereotyped with wrongdoers of their society. And here you have a guy stereotyping a race/religion of people based off of a preconceived conspiracy notion that Jews are plotting to take over the world and control it. Chris Broussard and Rob Parker talked about this on their radio show. You can't ask for people not to stereotype and generalize your race and then turn around and do the same thing to another minority group. It doesn't matter if that's Jews, Asians, Mexicans, Native Americans, etc.

I've said before that one of the biggest issues is sticking up for your own regardless of facts.

Not being practical medically falls into not being practical logistically. In any instance we’ll see. I think you would hear players or someone talk about it if it was a legitimate option. I also don’t think you would be able to change course this late into the season and start on time when coaches are coming in tomorrow and players next week.

Now Malik has to throw his two sense in there...

A lot of idiocy coming from a couple guys who didn’t do anything past week 1
