Murray has the athleticism to do it, but it’s total projection if he can do it in the pros. He didn’t do it enough for me to feel comfortable in round 1.

I’m actually more comfortable with queen than murray.

We need to merge with them again, become the Steagles again for a year and learn all their tricks for LB and WR.

Whoever their scouts are for wide receivers we need to just buy their contracts out and pay them more to scout here lol

Hmm.  Feels like we've finally cut the cord.  Floating out in the ether. Anger at the faceless dismissal and marginalization of it's own fans by PE.com. But extreme gratitude for guys l

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

I thought they were trading up for Lamb.  Come on reporters which is it🤣

If we get up to 11, then that would mean we could have the pick of the litter for WRs.

I brought this up yesterday. JJAW wasn’t the only issue with his drafting. Hey had it down to Campbell and JJAW over guys like mclaurin. Like metcalf and some others. That to me says more than just drafting JJAW. The guy they would’ve taken besides JJAW in Campbell also wasn’t very good.

Which broaches another topic of who is setting their draft boards? I mentioned this a few times on the old forum, but they have the same scouts working for them who were responsible for grading a lot of these misses. The article mentioned the head scout not liking Gibson, but still.

Kempski doesn't put things out there that aren't true in my experience.  He tends to be pretty conservative and differentiates between what he thinks the team will do vs. what sources are telling him.  He is also known to the Eagles FO and coaching staff.  So I think if he has a source it's a good source that is comfortable with him printing what the source is saying.

I like Kempski but he is barely a step above his BGN roots.   Lately he has been reporting a lot of what other reporters report.  I take some of this with a grain of salt.  The one thing that gives me pause on Dillard is Stout was quoted last year that he didn’t spend time scouting Dillard because he didn’t think the Eagles had a chance at him.  He hadn’t met with him or attended his pro day.

LB board? Hell, I want their WR board too.

Have they really been all that successful outside of Juju and pre-mental breakdown Brown?

I actually think Mailata is going to be a big part of the OL this year.  If he was injured to the point he couldn't play, he'd have been released.  I think they are going to use him alot and expect him to be ready to start in case of injury.

Maybe I'm alone on this.

I'm really down on him from an injury perspective.  I don't remember the exact time that he has missed in camp and preseason, but IRRC, he has missed time.  I don't think he's been on IR sheerly as a stash and develop.  I am concerned that he actually has a recurring lower back issue.  Both years they put him on IR for the same thing.

If he can stay healthy, then I do think it's reasonable to give him a chance to win a job as a swing tackle.

Tony Pauline used to call into Eagles Live a lot when it was going at this time of year, and has consistently had a scoop or two on the Eagles each year.  One of those quietly connected guys in the NFL.

I like the conflicting Jets trade up rumours too.  Smells like 2 different smokescreens to two different journalists at the New York end.  They can have concerns about Dillard but it doesn't mean a trade is happening.  Like always, there to be proved wrong.

Yes.

Now that all the late rumors have us trading up, I feel everyone will be pretty let down if they don't. Trading up is always exciting.

Diontae Johnson was really good as a rookie, Emmanuel Sanders, Martavis Bryant for a bit.

Missed zero PS time last year.  Played all 4 games and played well.

Diontae Johnson was very good for them last year. And James Washington wasn’t bad either. Also got the most out of Martavis Bryant before his off the field. And Emmanuel Sanders.

From Mike Garafolo:

Quote

If Philadelphia opts to wait on a wide receiver, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo said linebacker Kenneth Murray is a possibility for its first selection. Garafolo added that Eagles were in the mix for Brandin Cooks before he was traded to the Texans. "At some point he's going to come away with a receiver," Garafolo said of Philly GM Howie Roseman, "but he's not going to force it."

Hines Ward, Mike Wallace, Emmanuel Sanders too

The Eagles are trying so hard to convince teams we’re not taking a WR.

So Daniel Jeremiah has us picking Murray at 21 because all of the WRs are gone, but then has NO picking Reagor at 24 because they need a speed receiver.  Ok.  Why not just pick the speed receiver that we need at 21?

His mocks are based off of what he hears. His top 50 is how he ranks them.

I just read that Jerry Jones told his scouts to take the night off because he's going to run the draft alone.  This is going to be a fantastic draft night.

Plaxico Burress, Santonio Holmes, Emanuel Sanders. I’d say yes

It's sad they even put themselves in the position to have to create smokescreens in the first place.

3 HOURS

Let's hope Kevin Hart is sober this time!

Exactly what I was thinking.

That's Garafolo having nothing and just going with DJ.

Or if Jeff stoutland doesn’t like dillard or what he saw or he wasn’t listening to him. The organization could have soured on him with his attitude and how he wasn’t responding to stoutland.

i think you guys overlook how much pull stoutland has with the oline. It could very well be stout Telling him after spending a year with him he doesn’t see it.

Again pure hypothetical at the moment. he could still love him. If they love him still none of this makes sense.

Maybe, but that would be incredible to believe so much in him a year ago that he was worth trading up for and then give up on all of that so quickly

He did say we were after Brandin Cooks, which is interesting.
