The only thing embarrassing about liking or wearing another teams gear is growing up and still doing it. I still have a semi-friend that’s a Packers/Lakers/Red Wings/Yankees fan.

He’s got the Packers thing right.

I mentioned this previously on this board, and in the past years ago on the other board.   I'm not sure Howie has ever come out and said it this plainly, but Howie is telling the truth here.

There's pictures of me as a kid wearing an Orlando Magic jersey and hat but I just really liked Shaq and Penny Hardaway

Funny thing is as soon as Shaq was on the Lakers he was dead to me. I hate the Lakers.

When I was in high school I had a friend who was a huge Leafs fan and idolized Darryl Sittler.  When it became apparent the Leafs were going to have to trade their star player I kept bugging my friend he’d have to convert to a Flyers fan if he ended up in Philly.  My friend said that if that were to ever happen there’s no way he would switch teams.

When the Flyers acquired Sittler I was gleeful; not necessarily at the acquisition but the chance to rub it in.  True to his word, he never switched teams and he stopped cheering for his idol

I'm not sure how old you guys are, but these reek of kids who grew up in the 90s/early 2000s. Especially with the Red Wings who were dominant in the late 90s. I'm 32, so my entire childhood was surrounded by Bulls, Yankees, Broncos, Red Wings, Flyers, Lakers, Cowboys, and 49ers fans. I grew up in a Philly suburb so the Philly team support really started to blossom when McNabb and Iverson came into their own.

They should have went with the Oilers. That color scheme looks better, but it makes sense to go with the colors of the state flag since they’re the Texans.

They saved time because eco warriors would be currently demanding a name change.

No sure why you think that. I grew up on oil field funds but we were and are devoted conservationists. My dad was warning us of dwindling resources and global warming for years.

I mean, tragically, hundreds of thousands of kids are kidnapped/missing every year. Names are going to match, no matter how exotic we think they are

Agree with the coincidence of matching.

Disagree with 100ks of kids go missing.  Total BS.  I believe I read detailed materials that the number is WAY smaller than reported or ginned up in the media or that we think.  ESPECIALLY, if you are speaking of the US or Canada.   Canada-like 4 (I kid); US- say it is 20k (98% are by the parents in a divorce).  Put another way do you know anyone ever who knew of a kidnapped kid?  Ever?  Anywhere?

Because I was joking, but people are freaking out over everything. I even saw Walt Disney's name mentioned for removal.

I'm 56, born and raised in Philly. My only experience with this was our roller street hockey league where NO TEAM was allowed to be the Flyers.  We were the Sabres. I loved those jerseys, then. But NO ONE ever wore a non philly team jersey, shirt or hat, at least not until college, when there was always that one **** saying he rooted for the cowgirls.

I would argue besides the 93 phillies And the Flyers, the 90s philly sports teams weren’t exactly giving philly fans a ton to cheer about. I’d argue it was the worst decade in philly sports in the last 50 years.

You had a pretty good childhood (from when you could remember til 18) when you think about it. You got to see the Sixers win a title, two flyers titles and a Phillies World Series title. It’s pretty good childhood. I grew up really late 80s to early 2000s nothing besides like the 93 phillies and the Flyers who got swept by the Red Wings

I just read the NBA players are staying at the Gran Destino Tower at Coronado Springs, Grand Floridian, and the Yacht Club. From the pictures Rondo is at the Gran Destino.

Never been there, but I've been to the Yacht Club years ago with a Disney employee who got a deal. They aren't anything to complain about.

Look at these prices...$600+ a night for a standard. Better views are even more.

I doubt they let the Grand Floridian go either at $800 a night. Better views are over a thousand a night.

May not be the 4 seasons, but those are rooms most people can't afford.

Gran Destino looks like a "budget" hotel at $250+ a night.

When I lived in texas there was a stretch where I was getting amber alerts like every 2 days for at least a month

Coronado is a moderate resort.  Gran Destino is THE newest hotel they've built.  When I was looking before the pandemic, it was booked out seemingly indefinitely.

The Eagles doing the right thing with Jackson (fine, strong warning, keeping him accountable moving forward or release without pay) shows that we have still adults at the wheel. Doing nothing / releasing him were both bad options.

Randall Cunningham, a former four-time Pro Bowler and one-time All-Pro quarterback, has gone from calling plays on the field to delivering the word of the Lord in the locker room.

Cunningham joined the Las Vegas Raiders as team chaplain, he told ESPN on Friday.

I think a majority of the theories are nothing more than conspiracy theories, but I do think the theory that there are underground sex rings involving significant celebrities/political figures holds water. I mean we basically saw that with Epstein and if you watch the NetFlix documentary they did on him, it implicates Prince Andrew with some pretty damning evidence. I do think there is something going on, but I don't know to what degree and how big it is. There was always rumors that the movie "Eyes Wide Shut" was Stanley Kubrick's way of divulging what was going in within the Hollywood circles.

Epstein was an anomaly, he had enough money and his own private island, and he wasn't trafficking in children, rather, he recruited teenage girls.

Underage prostitutes are common, they're usually runaways who get involved in drugs or with the wrong boyfriend.

Real pedophiles are organized, but not in the conspiracy theory fashion, rather, they tend to trade pictures, etc., on the internet. But the idea of large scale trading of children for sex is silly, the logistics would be impossible - what makes conspiracy theories ridiculous in this day and age is the difficult of maintaining secrecy in the age of the cellphone.

People confuse TV with real life, kidnapping and holding a child isn't that easy, which is why when it happens they usually turn up dead very quickly.

A lot of the numbers you see are made up out of thin air, whenever you see a dramatic number, if there is no source, forget it, if there is a source, dig deeper and find out where that source got the number, often it's a whisper down the lane thing, where you have to go down some rabbit holes and find that a number has been exaggerated or taken out of context.

The most interesting part of this is the silence from the Eagles regarding Malik Jackson's comments in support of DeSean and attacking fans online.  It is very possible that they are looking at the cap implications and the contractual language of how to get out from under that albatross of a contract.

I posted the numbers last night.  He's only a $4M cap hit in 2020, but it rises to $13M+ in 2021, and cutting him at that point would only save $1M (with $12M+ in dead cap space).  They might be working behind the scenes with his agent to get him to give back some money, to lower his cap cost if they cut ties with him.   And I think it was BigEFly who put forward the idea that he might be doing this because he's clearly NOT one of the top 2 DTs on this roster anymore.  He might be looking for the team to get rid of him.  And the fact that he actually tagged them in one of his hate filled posts would indicate that either he's trying to get their attention, OR he's as dumb as a box of rocks.

BTW... for anyone interested.   American Heroes Channel is running a docu-series called "Hitler" that goes into the making of this most infamous individual.  I've watched it before and found it informational.
