Also I don’t care about stats but your go to for Hurrs is oh he threw for 340 yards twice in 3 starts… Doesn’t matter he lost both those games… looked terrible vs Dallas the entire 2nd half

completed a whopping 7/20 vs Washington

6th in the nfl in fumbles in 324 snaps

Exactly….lost but put up big stats.
Brady does what in Tankgame? 9of 20

He does play right on the cusp of things. At times a bit reckless. That can be improved. He can work on ball security.

No clue what game your even talking about Brady going 9/20 but 7/20 is pathetic as is 9/20… And has nothing to do with tanking just a cop out excuse to give

So again the bar is low and I don’t just have yards per game as expectations also have td and turnover goals for Hurts.

Yes we might not be competitive in every game I realize this but doesn’t excuse Hurts or other guys from not performing you can’t still see what players do well and which don’t

Down by two scores in the fourth you either: throw that lower percentage ball and try to win or…just play it safe and dump the ball off and collect stats. Sounds like you only care about the latter. I gotta have my QB take more chances and go for the win. That’s the results of the TEAMS efforts though.

Lmao yes because every situation in football is that moment and time let’s get real. Let’s ignore the rest of the game that he either played well or poorly in lol… again just sad how many excuses you want to throw out

Wentz trying to make plays happen oh he is playing hero ball can’t do that

Hurts does it oh we are down he has to make those plays he cares about winning games not passing stats

lmao I love the twisting narrative

All im saying is if Hurts has 20 ints they are not all coming in the 4th qtr. because we are down…

If Hurts can’t put up more the 150 yards a game that isn’t because the team is terrible

If Hurts fumbles 15 times it isn’t because oh he has to hold the ball to long.

Yes I realize some circumstances won’t be Hurts fault like I realized it with Wentz not every play was his fault plenty where and plenty where on Hurts last year as well. Just because these situations happen in football(to every team) doesn’t mean you can still set goals and expectations for players

We have a new offense.  I assume we are going to run the ball much much more than Pedey and AR favored. Sanders I have huge expectations for.

Can’t have those what if we fall behind, Ol can’t block… 500 yards Sanders had a great season because of the circumstances surrounding him

On a serious note going to say this is doubtful Laurie doesn’t like running teams even criticized Doug want to say the 2019 GB game because we game planned  for the ground game.
Worked great as well but doesn’t fit what the owner wants.

Might be a tad more balanced but this won’t be a heavy run team

I do think we will be a heavy run team. Sanders needs to have a huge season. I expect much more out of the backfield room than just him also. Hurts is going to run the ball. That’s all setting up playaction passes to take some shots downfield. Otherwise I expect a shorter passing game….relying on YAC. So the YAC pickups are what Hurts will be relying on for passing stats.

More power to you I hope we are but I don’t see it happening not with Lurie as the owner… And we can sit here all day saying he shouldn’t be involved or should just be happy that we win etc. but we know he is involved and we know he likes the passing game.

He won’t be the only QB in the NFL that utilizes a short passing game with play action deep shots… Though Hurts game doesn’t seem to fit the short passing game he isn’t all that accurate and he doesn’t have good ball placement those are two huge areas for a short passing YAC offense.

I think we are relying on Sanders and Goedert to be healthy

Staying healthy will be huge for this team… Brooks/Lane stay healthy we probably have one of the better OL in football. Geodart healthy is a top 10 TE, Sanders I think can be an easy top 15 RB maybe higher if he stays on the field.

If we get solid QB play and solid WR play the O isn’t in that terrible of shape.

Not sure why you are so overly obsessed with Hurts and his stats. It’s a team game. If we can hand the ball off and win by one point….I’m fine with that. Generalizing with season stats just seems fairly insignificant to me. Week to week matchups. I’m just hoping the team can look competitive most weeks.

I agree... it's why when you were all focusing on Rivers and Wentz won't get as many yards or whatever...who cares...it's the impact on the team winning.   Hurts could throw for 5000 yards and run for 2000... how he impacts the wins are what matters .  Same for Wentz, Indy didn’t trade the picks for stats,  they did it thinking they will advance farther.   Why do people call Brady the GOAT?   Or Montana.   It isn't stats.   In fact for a QB,most of the time the better stats come in if you are behind.

The one stat I will look for though... points. If Hurts can put up the points, that's better than any yards statistic.

Unless your what Peyton Manning, Tom Brady, Dree Brees, Mahomes, Rodgers, Jackson etc. they don’t put up the stats lol.

Funny thing with stats they come with success can we throw a list of outliers sure Kirk Cousins pads stats, Jags were down so threw more etc.

Why blinding just going off stats is dumb doesn’t make stats useless though and I’ll watch Hurts play but until then setting base stat goals is what we have

Even funnier stats aren’t important but scoring is a stat…. tds are a stat, turnovers that help or hurt us scoring are a stat… Yards that put us in position are stats…. It a sport folks stats matter some are more important then other final score is all that matters.

But if we win a game 6-3 thanks to our Defense sure we won but doesn’t mean Hurts is good probably means are O sucked. Just like if we win a game 45-42 probably means are D struggled.

MJD ranked Miles Sanders as the 27th ranked RB out of 32…. Seems kinda harsh to me Sanders has shown flashes of being a really good runner still needs to correct couple things get tad more consistent better ball security. This is a huge year for Sanders in my eyes if he stays healthy should easily get 1000 yards on the ground.

I hope Boobie saw that. 27th is laughably misplaced.

Have to say fits my view point with Hurts don’t want to be in QB purgatory Hurts has to erase all doubts this season and I’m not saying it is fair but that has to be our mindset as a franchise I believe. If we are not 100% sold on Hurts by seasons end think we have to snag a QB in 2022 draft.

Brady had 3 SB wins before anyone considered him a top guy in fantasy....which that first year was 2007.

Lamar is a guy with fantasy stats.    I don't consider him a top QB though.  4 playoff games with minimal production in the point column is the reason why.  The other guys put up yards... but also put up the points and wins I'm the playoffs.

As for Hurts...nothing on the stat sheet other than putting up points will be what I focus on.   Can he read the field and make the difficult throws when needed.  Can he cause team success without just the use of his legs.

3rd an 20...  if he runs for 15 yards before they punt, that's nice for stats, doesn't do much for the team though.

And he still threw for over 3500 yards and 25+ Tds… mmmm shocker had stats lmao pretty solid stats at that… You think those NE teams winning if he doesn’t play at that level I highly doubt it

And 3rd and 20 and he picks up the first it adds stats lmao… 1st and goal and he scored it adds stats lmao…

Stats matter we can go round and round about all the ways some stats don’t but if you play well you put up stats and if you put up stats it generally leads to scores and success.
