Wilson is up next year. He will be an FA,you aren't giving up anything except big money, which you will have to pay your QB whomever it is. Matters little what you or I "like". It's Howies team nobody elses. I am NOT against having this as an OPTION next year. Fact remains,we have to build an enticing team that he would actually like to play for, and this a BIG year to do it

You going to give up picks and money for Wilson any which way you go.

Completely agree with you. And if Wilson is available next year and he's coming off of a good year then sure we should look in to it as one of the options. But we should not, as you've said, be trading for him. We need to build this roster.

Only way to consider him is trading for him. They can’t just let him walk. They’ll tag and trade at least. Wilson might just be lobbying inside his team though. That’s gotta be your first thoughts is that he wants them to do certain things for him.

Press Taylor hired as OC. I’m sure it didn’t hurt his brother coaching his team to the big game right now.

Pedey and Press with Lawrence should be a fantastic pairing. He’s going to thrive!

Niners have to roll with Trey Lance now. Really can’t say  I know how he’s going to respond.

Why??? He is a total FA next year. You will pay ANY top QB money. You keep NOT understanding I am NOT talking about THIS year, but next. I'm not giving up diddly except for whatever contract I can sign him to, got it????

Vermeil elected to HOF.

Sure, they’ll just let a valuable asset walk. This is a brain dead idea. You don’t think they’ll franchise tag him? Of coarse they will. Think it through…..a little a least.

That I got. It’s called common sense. How many people are letting a guy walk away instead of collecting the massive haul of picks? Pretty much nobody. Exactly. Your plan is based in fairy tale land. But sure you hold out to pickup Wilson as a FA next year. I’m not holding my breath on that one.

I'm sorry, I just can't help how happy I am that coach Vermeil got recognized by being inducted to the Hall of Famous (lol). He is definitely a model human being in the football world and as an ordinary man.

Idk... that ties up cap space for a while.  A lot of it.   Otherwise they will get the top comp pick.    Could go either way... tag for QB next year will be pretty high

Best Eagles coach of my lifetime.   He could manage the clock better than a 5 year old.... and for the younger guys,  they don't understand the level of competition back then... the division and conference were much better.  That Cowboys era, they were dominant and a huge obstacle , unlike our division the last 25 plus years.

So if they don't re sign him they are going to franchise tag him and pay him 40 million to walk? I would take that deal too. Please use your head

It's an OPTION whether YOU like it or not

No King Ham said this is not possible or even an option in any way. We must obey the Ham. So we use all our top draft picks(and they stick) and we grab a few FA players, and we head into the season with Hurts. If we see the only thing holding this team back is a QB,then Wilson is on the table for me. But we need to do the other things first

But you don't see the possibility that Seattle tags Wilson first, this way they hold his rights.... then they can trade him.    It's certainly possible.

So if they tagged him and noone took the bait and waited them out, they would be out the tag money,so I dont see them doing that

How would they be out the tag money?  He would play in Seattle or he wouldn't get paid.    You don’t think he will have teams wanting his services???

Tagging him you take him off the table for me. He's under contract and getting paid. I don't see them using a tag for the last year. Just re sign him to a new deal then why spend the tag money if you are already paying him?????

You tag him and let him work out a deal with another team.  Then that team trades for him.   It's absolutely a possibility.  We have seen it before,we will see it again.    May or may not happen with Wilson, but you would think Seattle doesn't just let him walk, would be kinda stupid.

I'll never understand why the NFL thinks 6 or more hours of SB pregame shows is a good idea.
