I’m not so sure it will be all about drafting a QB. Got ammo to trade for a vet. Today’s NFL feels different. Put a team together and trade for that established vet.

Who do you have in mind?

Not that huge of a con honestly we were never those 3 pieces away from being a SB team. Plus just me CB based off how we are right now is probably top need.

All that being would not shock me if our top 2 picks in round 1 go CB and WR.

LOL wasn't talking SB,I was merely pointing out in my research this will be tougher to get the players we need to build. I'm sure Howie is not done trading, just as of this moment..............

I'm thinking DE and WR. Our pass rush last year was mediocre and we know Howie loves his pass rusher/linemen. I suppose that is why we re-signed Cox? Because DT will be back burner now(not that we won;t take 1 but...............

another name to add to my 2023 watch list of QB Tyler Van Dyke Miami QB

I know at one time we were interested in the QB from E>: Carolina(if I remember I will look him up again)

The "con" to this deal. Just scouting through the draftees it puts more pressure on which position you want to sacrifice this year. DT,edge and WR were 3 needs in round 1,so one of them has to go. Now none of the players fall into our laps,by that I mean before we were pretty well set with the picks we had there were players what could help us and while they still can we went from 4 picks in 2 rounds to 3,so something has to be pushed back until, round 3. As we need secondary(as usual) we can't push that too far back either. SO it will be difficult deciding which player we need more. I like Tindall(LB) in round 3,but we may not take a LB at ALL. If we could take the 3 and a 5 and move into round 2,I would feel alot better. This trade so early may trigger other early trades

I must say though those round 5 picks will come in very handy for a few minor moves up for players we want

Exactly what we have tried saying to you, build the TEAM,the QB(Hurts) is a place holder. All I want out of Hurts now is to develop the WR(s) we get in this draft, get them a years experience. Smith could use that input as well. Reagor is a trade piece in my view. We seem to like Jjaw for his blocking ability, but he is also expendable IMO. I could see us picking up a late TE prospect because we ARE really good at developing TE's(so lets keep that pipeline going). Guys I know we like-Pitre-S Baylor(round 2) and Pierre Strong-RB S.Dak st.(I wouldn't go more than one of our round 5's,maybe the first round 5-154)

If we're smart we will take a WR early as a starter and add 1,2 more late. That room really needs help ASAP. Ward is "ok as a BU" but we can do better IMO and there are some nice prospects we can take late chances on like Danny Gray from SMU and my personal pick Thornton from Baylor(rapidly moving up boards). I am also enamored with Christian Watson in round 2,just not quite there that he can be a starter. Maybe the FO thinks they can have him ready.

I vet QB has to be available to trade for who do we see being available for trade next season at QB???? This was a very odd offseason with all the QBs moving around.
Definitely seems more likely we draft a QB

I mean I would not rule out DE but the Eagles did sign Reddick who has been one of the best pass rushers the last 2 seasons, Graham is back from injury, Sweat and we brought back Barnett.

As it stands now our #2 CB on the outside is McPherson

Not sure it’s that specific yet. We could keep stacking for the 2024 offseason.

Coastal Carolina has a guy. Plus the UVA guy you like. Wake also has a guy.

CB was a priority for me. I understand the want of another x receiver, problem is Hurts isn't very accurate downfield. Not to be a homer but Dotson from PSU can take it home from anywhere, anytime.

Yeah thats him LOL. he was supposed to be in THIS draft but decided to stay in school(the guy from coastal)

Pretty nice to have additional interests this year... rooting against the Saints will be fun for 2 years, easy for me already with Rhule and Pitts in that division.

Yes... signing a QB to his second contract is going to be expensive!

Yeah I hope Reddick fits here, so I changed my priority to DT and WR first 2, then I have Pitre-S and Woolen(CB) in 2 and 3 .and I also have a late C pick up(as we draft C/G's all the time in case kelce hangs it up LOL). I like Lindstrom late
