They have Logan Thomas who was out when we played them last year.

Every year those games are both home and away.

I'm not going through every individual year, but as a rule of thumb we play better AWAY

Not really...and by going through every year you would see it...lol

"We are" - no. I don't agree w/ thinking this coming yr based on previous yrs, whether it's this team or other teams. Players either - things change, it's dynamic.

In the series vs Pittsburgh,  the home team wins every year.  The home team vs the Saints is a huge advantage.  We finally won in Denver last year... etc.   Thr schedule last year was much easier on the road.  That was the main factor.

Don't know if this is true or just praise for HR during a good yr. Noticed lots of high points, a few to blame others but what about other yrs? Things change, people learn, just believe certain decisions need to be a collaborative effort.

I can agree with this. We saw Tenn wilt after they lost their star(who also killed off my fantasy team HAHAHA)

But having an elite guy that makes such a difference really changes things in your favor

They have the over/under at 8.5 wins for us

Saying that Lurie has stepped back and let Rosie takeover. The early returns are looking pretty good. Just can’t have tons of chefs in the kitchen. Just hire people to do their jobs. Have everything flow up to Rosie and he makes the decisions. Committee approach of leadership I don’t think works. Fastest way to the middle. I’ve placed plenty of blame on Rosie after the SB win. Even before Chipper. But maybe I failed to realize how much interference he’s been dealing with.  So maybe I’ve been unfairly over critical of him. I’m sure he still deserves his fair share of blame. Not completely letting him off the hook. I totally agree with letting Rosie have his way….sink or swim.

His job is GM. Not coaching. Want to be clear on that. Think he is successfully rehabbing some of his reputation. Think he would do well to give similar authority to all his employees. Hire people and let them do their job. Not a bunch of micromanaging and meddling. Hire good people then hold them accountable. Set the bar high but also try and do everything to give everybody their best chance to succeed.

That's been our wish for yrs - holding people accountable. Blame seemed to go everywhere else but HR, come things to be praised he's right there.

Not really with the RB... WR it absolutely does.

I thought in 2016 they came out of Chip and Andy eras and really assessed things well.  They took best from both and filled in the missing stuff.    Then seems they got a little too cocky and went back to some of the dumb stuff they did before.  Seems the last two years they have been back on the right track.    Although I think there will be key roster turnover from the leadership group on this team that still will need the front office to make good decisions for the long term.    Keep it rolling and they could set it up really well long term.

I’d have to say any elite players

1. The Eagles had the 5th worst receiving corps last year according to the gospel PFF.   Which to me is generous.    You add the pro bowl Brown and the " starter " for Indy last year in Paschal,  that's huge flipping a weakness into a strength

2.  Bradberry, Slay and Maddox... which team has legit 3 WR threats this year ...that we play?

3.  Line of scrimmage... we should have the advantage there almost every game?

4. The schedule.

The same inconsistent version of Hurts should win us 11 games with all the other factors.  If it's only 10, then he probably plays worse.  Tell me any QB wouldn't love to have his job this year???

You keep bringing up Paschal as if he was a missing piece. The dude will be our #4 WR and probably see little action. Watkins had a better year last year on this team with hurts than Watkins has ever had. Quez is a speedster and should benefit from the addition of Brown. Paschal won't do much of anything. Simply insurance in case some one gets hurt...

He was a starter for the great Colts team that was only messed up by the bad QB which our guy is better....afterall, he took his job.

You can easily make the case that a solid committee has proven to have better team success than one elite RB in the last 25 years since Terrell Davis.

Quez was also learning to play inside last yr, never did that before

Yes, 384 yards receiving as a #2 WR is impressive. a whopping 5.6 yards per target! Sign me up!

Hurts vs Wentz last year:

Wentz - 3563 Total Yards - 27 TDs - 7 INTs

Hurts - 3144 Total Yards - 16 TD's - 9 Ints

What makes anyone think that Paschal will perfume better here this season as a #4 than he did as a #2 in Indy?

But it was his QB that was the problem, monster upgrade for him this year

( curious how long you see where I'm going with this, seems to be taking you a while lately)

I really do not know what to believe about HR. Reagor Clearly was HR's guy, so he still had his whiffs. But, so do other GM's. I still remember the 2021 NFL draft. They had a camera on Howie when he drafted Milton Williams in the 3rd round. He tried to Fist pump the Head of Scouting, who was shaking his head.....  Please do not get me wrong. I think HR did great this year. I just feel we should not let the past mistakes go as nothing to do with our GM....

Semaulo is an underrated player really good G that got overlooked because of the monster we had with him. Hard to shine when you play next to JP,Lane,Kelce and Brooks.

Semaulo is a guy you rarely hear his named called which I was always told is the best thing from a OL.

As for Big V no wasn’t a starter but can’t undermine how important he was as our 6th guy off the bench he would come in and fill in at any spot along the OL that wasn’t C and generally held up alright I’d call that a success

Semaulo carries a hefty 7.1 Mil cap this year and may not even be on the roster come 8/1. He has been injured most of his first 6-7 years and has started only a few games. Dickerson has taken over his starting job and is much cheaper. I can argue he was not overlooked, but just not available.... I can see HR saving 6 mil on the Cap and cutting him.

Can see your point Stine. Another pov is to look at other teams like dullass who have to start rookies and have no depth. Seu's a multi position guy as well.

Peter King has the Eagles ranked #9.  That's with Jalen Hurts being a C- at QB.   Playing the bulk of our games vs teams ranked in the 20s.   Only Green Bay ranked ahead of us.

The perception is absolutely that the Eagles have made huge improvements, all over the roster.     No excuses!
