Hope the hype didn't go to his head. That and the salaries we paid to a few others. Knock him upside the head.

Didn't know he wasn't signed.

Maybe Kelce will have to have the talk like he had to do for his bro

Bed, up early

RE 2 A,that's why I would like to see Strong or at least get alot of updates from camps and practices. No there is no RUSH,however if we see Hurts isnt the guy and Strong has a future, then we need to know that prior to the next draft. The sooner you have the goods on them the more you can plan(barring injury of course).

Yeah... we the team .... not we the fans.  We don't need to see anything really because we don't make the decisions

Like I just stayed….there’s been 25….60plus yard passes since 2016. So let’s worry about more important things here.

Completions.... not passes.

Nope, noone knows what he can do. He needs to practice at LEAST

He is practicing ... just doesn't need to play so he can heal up the knee for long term.

I don’t think so. He was told by his Dr and dad to not play. Why ruin the kid practicing? Let him heal and see if he has a future after.

He is going to practice... he shouldn't  play though.

Arm strength is important. But not so much on throwing it 65 yards. That’s the difference I’m trying to communicate to you. The importance comes into play mostly on how long the ball is in the air on longer out patterns. Guys with cannon arms can throw laser darts. That’s where averaged arm guys aren’t as effective. The stronger arm gives less time for a DB to break on the ball.

The stronger arm keeps the coverage deeper.   The perfect example of what I've been trying to say was the interception Hurts threw when he overthrew Ertz along the sideline.  There was a deep seem pattern that was designed to clear out the safety... he cut off his coverage on that pattern and picked off the ball.  He did so because he didn't respect the deep throw.

It's like a hitter in baseball that can't hit deep... the outfield moves in and shrinks the field.

Hurts deeper out throws or anything where he rolls left... is absolutely an issue. It limits the offense.  If he can overcome that, it will be huge for his future.

In 2019 Jones formed a new band called the "Sons of Chipotle" with the Finnish Cellist, Anssi Karttunen. The group premiered with a duo of live concerts at the Pit Inn in Tokyo, Japan in September of that year. For the Tokyo shows they were joined by musicians Jim O'Rourke and Otomo Yoshihide[47] The band's first scheduled U.S. date at the Big Ears Festival in Knoxville, Tennessee was cancelled in March 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak.[4       Still alive and touring(amazingly)

Isn't he the one in the band that actually behaved and lived the clean life?

So yep, seems to me you got to give that knee a chance to heal. Doesn’t appear he’ll ever be super mobile. But continuing to push a knee that clearly isn’t healed doesn’t make much sense at all to me. Think the kid has good value if he can get that knee better. I’m trying to understand what real benefit comes from  practicing on a bad knee? Just seems like so much risk of destroying any chance of a career. Give him a year to heal up…then it is what it is. But at least he’ll have a chance at a career.

Because NFL practice and NFL game for a QB... is like 2 different planets.  He doesn't have to push the knee in practice like he did the games. He will learn and develop by practicing. His knee should benefit from not playing a year. 3rd string QB doesn't dress.

Have to be a Dr to really know what to do with Strong about his knee. Just know the Dr and his dad didn’t want him to play last year on it. Nobody drafted him clearly because of his knee. Will it ever heal? Maybe not. Maybe he just plays on the bad knee…gets more surgeries and plays on it the best he can. Maybe that’s the ceiling for him. If there is a chance to stay off it to actually heal…i’d do that for sure.

Agree.... not " playing " in a game will benefit him.  Probably has healed up a little bit since he last played about 6 months ago.  Give another year plus without playing on it, should be great for him.

Clearly ‘All in’ right now. Which makes sense. Donald is the best player in the league. Actually spoke of retiring now he got his ring.

Rams all in right now... not using any first round draft picks.   Eagles clearly not all in because they traded a 1st round draft pick ????

He moves fine in the pocket, just like the GOAT.

Strong doesn't move in the pocket like Joe Montana.

Not gonna kill the kid to hand the ball off 8 times LOL

I mean... doesn't help him either.... does he really need to prove he can hand off at an NFL level ... in a game.  Passing in practice is better.

Probably not Joe was definitely more mobile…. Think everyone also has to realize Strong was essentially playing on 1 leg last year so a guy that already wasn’t the most mobile was even worse.

Think overall though Strong had the pocket awareness and ability to operate in the pocket to be successful

Maybe we won't have to draft a QB next year. Maybe Strong will be the man if Hurts isn't?

The only way this happens is if Strong somehow some way gets on the field to play in meaningful football.

The reality of it is unless we are terrible or Hurts misses extended period of games(again not wishing an injury) and even still the team would likely to turn to Minshew first(so he would likely have to be dealt first).

So yea point being super long shot that Strong sways the Eagles decision at the QB spot. It’s going to be Hurts or draft a QB in 23. Or your ham and believe some Veteran QB going to be available worth trading for which is damn near as unlikely as strong at this point.

I really like the way he moves around the pocket....especially left...and keeps the ball up ready to throw.   Great mechanics.

Could be both Eagles and Saints picks are too low to move up ... and Eagles want to differ a little longer.   I know on the surface it means they are rolling with Hurts for a year, but we all know they like to lock in guys early.  If they don't, they can play the middle, appease both the fans who don't want to pay Hurts and also the ones that want to keep Hurts.

IMO Hurts doesn't need to play lights out for the Eagles to select 19- 24....which if they play the Saints in the playoffs, it pushes the winner's pick to at least 25th.  Regardless let's say it's picks 19 and 20.   Not sure they would favor trading both those picks and very possibly additional draft ammo... as opposed to Hurts/ Strong in 2023.

I'd put the odds right above the " vet" option... I think that would be last choice.

If the Eagles realize Hurts isn’t it I 100% think they would be willing to wheel and deal to get a QB in the draft.

I mean hell 2016 we were sitting at 14 with only 1 pick… and got up to #2 pick and this is after we extended Bradford and signed Chase Daniels

I definitely think with the way they are building the team they will go after a QB in the draft rather than an experienced QB who's going to be expensive.

What did we give up to get to #2 in 2017?   The last part of the trade, wasn't it from #8 to #2?

I think for sure they would give up both #1s.   Just not sure they would go with another higher pick(s) if it's needed.

They may...and they may pick higher if one of the Eagles or Saints don't make the playoffs.     I'm just stating a scenario where I could see Strong get an opportunity next year in the event Hurts is so so and they think it's too expensive to move up.

The other factor is they fell in love with Wentz during the process... might not happen with the guys from next year?

What happens is the D has to respect the run so much things have to open up downfield. So we should be able to work it that way as an advantage.
