Rams all in right now... not using any first round draft picks.   Eagles clearly not all in because they traded a 1st round draft pick ????

Using next years draft picks towards this year’s team or….trading away your first round pick for future picks. Which path is more all in for now? Hmmm

The only way this happens is if Strong somehow some way gets on the field to play in meaningful football.

The reality of it is unless we are terrible or Hurts misses extended period of games(again not wishing an injury) and even still the team would likely to turn to Minshew first(so he would likely have to be dealt first).

So yea point being super long shot that Strong sways the Eagles decision at the QB spot. It’s going to be Hurts or draft a QB in 23. Or your ham and believe some Veteran QB going to be available worth trading for which is damn near as unlikely as strong at this point.

Yep no way Wilson or Watson would leave Seattle or Houston. Never happens.

The last part of the trade, wasn't it from #8 to #2?

Yea the last part was 8 to 2 but still had to trade from 13 to 8 first to set up.

As for the rest gave up a 3rd 4th rounders 2017 1st 2018 2nd.

The point being our FO will spend to move up for a QB

So again what QBs do you see on the move next offseason… listed every QB from all teams who do you see being available worth trading for???

Wilson isn’t moving teams again, Watson isn’t moving teams, Rodgers is not going anywhere nor I’d Stafford…. Burrow/Herbert/Mahomes/ Allen they not going anywhere.

So who is this Vet QB you see going to appear for us next offseason

We can go through all 31 teams again.

NFCW

Cards- no don’t think Murray is worth the picks or the contract I’d take my chances with a rookie QB

SF- Can have Jimmy now and don’t want him and don’t see Lance becoming available

Seattle- They can keep Lock and Geno

Rams- Stafford signed through 2025 don’t see him leaving

NFCE

NYG- Danny Dimes might be on the market he isn’t stopping me from getting a QB

Dallas- don’t see Dak going anywhere

Washington- we think Wentz is going to come around full circle lmao 😂

NFCN

GB- Rodgers just resigned don’t see him leaving

Vikings- I’ll pass on Kirk Cousins

Lions-Goff I’m good he can stay don’t want him

Bears- Fields not going to be available or not going to stop a draft pick

NFCS

Saints- don’t want no parts of Winston

Falcons- same goes for Mariota

Bucs- Brady isn’t coming here either retiring or Miami

panthers- I’m good on Darnold or Cam whoever they start there.

AFCN

Browns-Watson isn’t going to be available again can have Baker now not stopping me from getting a QB

Steelers- unless Trubisky plays lights out which then why would he not stay. So pass

Ravens- Lamar long shot rather draft a guy still then the draft capital it would take to pry him away plus the new contract.

Bengals- If Burrow somehow becomes available by all means go get him but that is not happening fantasy over.

AFCE

Bills- same as with Burrow

Jets- Wilson isn’t a veteran not going to deal him either sooo

Pats- same as Wilson

Miami- Yea Tua could be available I guess

AFCW

KC- same as with Burrow and Allen

LA- read above

Raiders- Carr always in rumors but as not been dealt yet also I’d still go the draft route over trading for him plus the contract

Broncos- yea Wilson isn’t leaving after 1 year.

AFCS

Titans- Tannehill I’ll pass

Texans- Mills I like but isn’t a Vet

Colts- I’m good on Matt Ryan he can stay and even if we did sign him I’m drafting a QB

Jags- Trevor Lawrence yea he isnt going anywhere

So Kyler Murray, Carr, Kirk, Tannehill, Ryan, Jimmy, Mayfield, Winston, Mariota there isn’t much I’m seeing here on the Vet QB front

We have beaten this subject up, maybe we should just move on? I am getting tired of talking about the same thing over and over again. We all know how everyone stands and no one is going to budge. Lets talk about this season. What does everyone feel the defense will do, now that Gannon has almost all the pieces? Do you think we will score more than last year? Will we be able to run the ball at will like we did last season?  Will we see more creative plays on both sides of the ball? Anyone?

OH, I already got repeatedly bashed for asking for ONE more TD per game. It's IMPOSSIBLE and "EXTREME" LOL. We spent draft capital and money and 1 more TD per game(average) is simply asking too much? Yes,I am insane to ask for it. Instead(once again) we need to "settle" for 1 more FG per game

I think we will be fine on the ground, now that siri has abandoned to college BS offense. We saw the running game bloom last year week 6 when he made that change to where the O line was actually opening running lanes instead of staying back to guard Hurts while he took 6 seconds to make decisions. I think siri handed off the play calling about then also? IDK but at least this year we are going what what worked last year without exerimentation. On d,I find it interesting that we have alot of "hybrid" types,so I think we will see various looks depending who we play

Gainwell should become more involved IMO. He can be a real threat at the GL if we use him like we used Sproles

I may have an opening on my Auction league if interested. $100 per person. 12 team league. One person said they don't want in. It is a keeper league so you may or may not want to keep any of his players...

Mostly Eagle Fans and many were OLD EMB members of 20 years ago.... No longer on EMB though...

Went to our local 300 yr old bar/restaurant on our way back from getting my knees shot up. Bunch of Pats fans bur they're in Celtics mode right now. Wearing an Eagles T, but I'm a regular and remind them they've never beaten a so called NFL least team in the SB. They respect that. Personally I'm going after AR and the conference, that's what I think about this team. USFL P and a good safety trade - sky's the  limit!

Let me take a reading of us fans. Are you comfy trading Shew and keeping Strong as the b/u? This comes off of what we were talking about as in what would happen if Hurts got injured.

We could use another TE as well. No team is perfect. Have been watching USFL punters, something I don't normally do

Hurts

Very true BG….Hurts has set the bar pretty high. Not many upgrades

  • Author

Carr, Love, Brady, Tannehill, Tua…just a fe me potential vets that could shake free.

And who can predict Hurts won't become better than those guys?

I'm more comfortable trading Hurts and have Strong work under Minshew

Yeah right  - Brady to the Eagles.Tua - no way. Tannehil - no thanks and Carr - no real upgrades. That leaves us where we are and we're simply going to have to see how the season goes. if Strong can get healthy or the worst, which is using our draft picks and having to have to wait a few yrs to develop a rookie we'll have to spend our pcks ffor. Here's to Hurts working out - the best option.

  • Author

Just can’t predict everything that will happen. Watson and Wentz just signed mega contracts ….then wanted out.

That's where I've been. We really can only see how it plays out. I'm rooting for Hurts as it's the best option for this team. Gives us flexability with how these future picks pan out. 2nf is Strong or maybe even Shew - prefer Strong between him and Shew. We can win with Hurts, even as a runner, the threat will always be there as long as his legs hold out -  there are no old running QB's.

I know he would never accept the money, but I would keep Hurts on a a pass option RB. We know he can run

What happens is the D has to respect the run so much things have to open up downfield. So we should be able to work it that way as an advantage.

Right... a QB should be able to pass when the defense has to account for the run. Correct.   So a defense playing the Eagles should have to account for the run...  so our QB should be able to pass now.  The excuse last year was the WR group.   To me it was valid.  This year we are better at all 4 WR spots with the 2 additions and the year of experience for the other 2.    It's all set up for the QB to take full advantage.
