What happens is the D has to respect the run so much things have to open up downfield. So we should be able to work it that way as an advantage.

Right... a QB should be able to pass when the defense has to account for the run. Correct.   So a defense playing the Eagles should have to account for the run...  so our QB should be able to pass now.  The excuse last year was the WR group.   To me it was valid.  This year we are better at all 4 WR spots with the 2 additions and the year of experience for the other 2.    It's all set up for the QB to take full advantage.

Against Tampa Bay in the playoffs, they 100% sold out to stop the run as they had no regard for Hurts in the passing game, and they were correct.

Using next years draft picks towards this year’s team or….trading away your first round pick for future picks. Which path is more all in for now? Hmmm

Rams are using next year's draft picks for this year?   How did they swing that?  Like a trade for AJ Brown?   Are they using a lot of one year contracts for older guys?

Yep no way Wilson or Watson would leave Seattle or Houston. Never happens.

I agree... those two don't play for those teams ...so it won't happen.

We have beaten this subject up, maybe we should just move on? I am getting tired of talking about the same thing over and over again. We all know how everyone stands and no one is going to budge. Lets talk about this season. What does everyone feel the defense will do, now that Gannon has almost all the pieces? Do you think we will score more than last year? Will we be able to run the ball at will like we did last season?  Will we see more creative plays on both sides of the ball? Anyone?

14 wins depending upon the QB.

I think we will be fine on the ground, now that siri has abandoned to college BS offense. We saw the running game bloom last year week 6 when he made that change to where the O line was actually opening running lanes instead of staying back to guard Hurts while he took 6 seconds to make decisions. I think siri handed off the play calling about then also?

What happened in Tampa...did the offense look college again?  Was it play calling or the opponent?

Very true BG….Hurts has set the bar pretty high. Not many upgrades

Right...no reason not to be dominant this year with the bar set high and everything around him.    No reason at all.... except if he is limited in seeing the field and making the throws...that's the only thing that could hold him back...the rest is there.

And who can predict Hurts won't become better than those guys?

He should...he has all the tangibles around him now.  Can you think of a reason why he shouldn't be better than those guys?

We can win with Hurts, even as a runner, the threat will always be there as long as his legs hold out -  there are no old running QB's.

There are no running QBs with any rings.  Closest was Kaepernick... but he didn't get it because he couldn't make the pass plays at the end.   Other than that, not sure anyone else even made a conference title game?

Vick with Atlanta vs Philly '04. All I can think of. You know who won that game.

Remember Dawkins' ferocious hit (against Falcon TE?) in that game? LOL I do

Vick....check the stats...he can run, not sure I would call him a running QB.

Yeah... 120 rushes in 15 games.... 8 per game... he won a playoff game that year to advance to the conference game.

Our whole team got owned in the playoffs. What game did you guys watch? Our P shanking. Reagor dropped two punts. D they marched on. Our Oline couldn’t move their Dline. Our receivers struggled to get free quickly. Our QB struggled under heavy pressure. All three phases we got beat.

Carr, Love, Brady, Tannehill, Tua…just a fe me potential vets that could shake free.

Listed all of them you want Tannehill really lmao

Sure they are all massive upgrades over Hurts even Tua but I’ll much rather draft a rookie

Cam made the SB and got destroyed by the Broncos elite D

If Hurts set the bar high he would already be locked in talking contract extensions for 40+m a year….. Yet nobody wants to pay him why is that I wonder.

The standard for good QB play doesn’t change whether your making 40m or 2m in my eyes

Yea mainly because Hurts couldn’t complete easy throws to save his life to wide open guys numerous times.

I'm more comfortable trading Hurts and have Strong work under Minshew

Because Minshew is a superior passer even when he came into games last year you seen a massive difference.

Minshew was going blow for blow with Dallas with backups last year until we pulled the 2nd stringers.

Lmao you set the bar so low for Hurts damn you would rather sign Love, Tua or Tannehill explains a ton now.

Be fine taking a flier on Love or Tua if they are free wouldn’t stop me from drafting a guy then we have upgrade from Hurts with a vet Love/Tua, Strong and a rookie upgrade wins all around

As for the other guys Tannehill lmao yea titans can keep him not spending the money or picks for him I’ll take a rookie.

Brady by all means come to Philly next year I take him still drafting a QB let him sit behind Brady a year who is what 45

Carr massive upgrade over Hurts but still rather draft a rookie of I’m going to spend that capital anyway rather not be paying a slightly above avg. QB 35-40m whatever Carr makes

But a punt was shanked...it's the key reason we were down 30-0.   Plus going back to the college game plan.

The opponent had nothing to do with why we just couldn't own their DL and run all game like vs Detroit,  Jets,  etc.... in those games the punter and play calling were simply better.

Oh yeah... Reagor dropping 2 punts was huge too. In a 30-0 game, those 5 yards are key.

True.... both Cam and Vick.... wonder how those guys could throw it any further than Hurts though?

Doesn't seem like anyone is in a rush to pay Murray or Lamar either?    Idk..  maybe throwing actually matters?

We are just haters because we value a position that based on passing on there ability to pass the ball shocker

Mostly because he’s only played one season. We just paid that other bone head the biggest contract in franchise history that blew up in our faces immediately.

No Qb over 40 had ever won a SB….until one did.
