I doubt we keep Sanders if he has a great season. Don’t think they want to pony up that much fir a RB.

Interesting.

I can’t believe No Mas you are just putting everything on everybody else. Some serious Hurts and Sanders hating there.

Not hating....simple facts...

1.  Take 32 teams and look at the OL, WR and TEs...Eagles are among of m not the best for a QB and RB to play with.

2.  Up until this point, Sanders has not shown anything special as far as durability, not fumbling, catching or blocking... and that's not anything about dancing around a hole.

3.  Hurts has not shown the ability to throw at the modern NFL level, he can run, that's why he is a pro athlete.

So this year, no more excuses of not having a supporting cast, both need to play well to stay on the team and or get paid.     We'll see what happens, if not next year we can move on.

Craig James cut

Think this wouldn’t be good for our season. Sanders having a huge season I believe to be crucial in how good this team will be. I like Gainwell and he has skills. Very useful in the committee. But I don’t see him having the same potential ceiling as Sanders.

LMAO I don't want Sanders to ball hog,I want to see QB skills from HURTS. if they can't see this happening,he won't be an Eagle next season(or as a BU)

1.   Sanders is not a star.  That is your first mistake.

 2.  who had a better running game than the Eagles last year?   If you can  count by either giving the middle finger or the peace sign... it's not really an issue.

3.  Like I said, Gainwell with the eye test already was better, they put him in the redzone for a reason.

He is "the star" RB on THIS team. He is the best RB we have, so now you are playing the semantics game

The greatest leaders can still have off days. Ask yourself: why do they even practice?

Tom Brady and ARod can probably skip practices now and then. If you think Hurts is on their level, you are sadly mistaken

Breaking news!!

What happened was Craig was getting too good, so we needed to cut him loose.

Go make the All-Pro team someplace else.

Some guys want to play with a winning team, some even like the house they live in. Some will play for less to keep their kids at the same schools. You cannot possibly know what happens with Sanders next year. Can we get through the season first???

He is not a star.   Stop it.  They have a committee approach they have used for years.

He gets picked up by another team and we get a 6th round comp pick.

SO who is RB 1 then?

What do you consider RB1?   A guy that gets zero TDs?

But I’ll take it from that strong hatred for QB1 and RB1 that you are expecting them to be great. Claiming we have the best O in the league.

Here is the bottom Line: We have 1 of the best O-Lines in the league. Assuming they stay healthy, Hurts will have all the time in the world to throw the rock. He now has 3 Legit Targets to go to along with RB's as an outlet pass. He supposedly had training from one of the better QB Gurus available, so he should have a better sense of his reads and Progressions. There is absolutely no way he should regress this season. Even if he improves marginally, he should have an outstanding year stat wise. I will go on the record saying that we will not run the ball as much as we did last year. The coaching staff wants to see Hurts air it out. They need to see what he has and they won't by running the ball 70% of the time. Looking for 35 Attempts per game as a minimum.

Not concerned about the RB position. It will work itself out or be fixed next year....

I ALSO will say that these 1 year deals could work into many Comsumitory picks...  I am sure we end up siging 1-2 of them, but the majority will most likely leave due to money, or lack of it...

If there's a weak point on the OL it's the guards. Don't get me wrong - they're starters and better than 90% of the league,. esp LG. Just saw a recent pic of Lane and the dude is ripped - I anin't messin w/ him! Seriously, we hear a few twits from Lane, but the guy puts in the work. Recently saw we're rated 2 of the top 5 OT's in the league! No matter all the talk about Hurts and everything else, Sundays' paper says no team has won or lost a game yet - so just nor in to that convo. More into how we can improve between now and then.

Cartoon last wk - If Youtube, Twitter and Facebook would merge it could be YouTwitFace! This is my only social.

Always saw OL carrying a little extra weight for the increased impact. Lane looks like he's carrying very little body fat. that can impact energy reserves. I have a BS in Dietetics so know a bit about it.

Wish I looked like that tho!

He will be listed as RB 1. Argue with the FO if you don't like it

Looking at Jesse Bates from Cincy. he wants a new contract or a trade

Bates not exactly much of an upgrade but good depth as in case of injury, could vie as starter, at least compete. Price may not be worth it to some but it adds to my confusion - are we actually competing for the SB this yr? Part of me says we can actually pull this off. So the more depth the better.

Ok..  so he is RB1 in a rotation.   They put other guys in on key downs....he isn't a star,  it's not semantics it's just truth.  Star RBs don't get taken out. RB 1 doesn't necessarily mean much in a rotation other than he will he in on  1st downs early in the game.

Idk are you building for the future with signing Kelce,Cox etc to one year deals?   Why aren't you going for SB with these guys?

We acquired the replacements - we think. Thing is we now may have a good group of guys at a lot of places. A team can have a lot of good guys but too many weaknesses that good teams will prey upon. I'm nor finding a lot of weaknesses in this team. Look at this team and tell me where another team will try to circumvent and we can't cover. Please, no as-nauseum about Hurts. Many have been beating that dead horse all off season - think positive!

And BTW, I've always said a teeam that depends on a bell cow RB is usually a weak running team.A team that depends on any one position for any part of their game is a weak team. Just ask Bellicheat, all you have to do is take it away - uaually doable.

Bates is one of the top S

But is his money worth it? If it is and it's the spot that really makes us a SB contender, then go for it. I really haven't been following the OS that much and what I've read is that Bates really isn't worth HIS asking price. If adding him makes us a contender, then maybe playing for a contender could reduce his asking price. Seems like a money guy, usually don't like them as there's not much difference between them and "me" guys. It's a culture thing. I've read he's equal to Epps, maybe a bit better, so it's more a depth thing.
