We're you watching football in 70's & 80's?

Kelly Green is what I grew up with. It was the unis and homer team that drew me to the Eagles.

Obviously if you look at my name

Kinda thought so. Wasn't 100% sure. Oh well, diff strokes/diff folks.

The gray one's are pretty cool. Kelly Green still reigns for me.

https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=ALL   CB/S they have for us. NP with that. What I am seeing now is there is a glut of WR's. Teams are only going to shell out for 2/3 maybe 4. Smith-Njingba is a GREAT WR, but look where they have him. At #25(consensus at this time) he will be the first WR off the board? Of course this is a whole year away. I suspect he would go top 10,but the point is most WR slots are filled for the short term future since there have been 2-3 back to back excellent WR drafts. Supply and demand tells me those top dollar lucrative contracts will be hard for them to get for a year or 2

He is the go to RB?  When they take him out in key situations?

Define "key" situations  when he was hurt at times last year. IDK how "key" of a situation we had last year because we weren't going anywhere, may as well save the tire tread for a year when you could actually DO something. So now he is healthy and like Hurts, time to earn your paycheck(or in Hurts case make the decision to GIVE him a big paycheck)

I believe it was supposed to be SILVER not gray LOL. With the new tech I'm sure they can do real silver coloration now. Kelly and a real "chrome look" silver would be very cool.

So you didn't like Cunningham in Kelly green???? I would like to see Kelly green/silver but keep the Eagle head in the dark green it is now. You could even do the uni's in tri color

Red zone, short yardage and 3rd down.

In an already blown season, with him not 100% it's rather pointless. We weren't contending anyhow. let some young guys grab some snaps. Now he needs to step in and take those reps

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x_RHOB9xkqo  For those that say Brady has no arm, note the 56 yard bomb on the last play.I remember holding my breath like everyone else in the room. This is a well done 21 minute synopsis of our SB win. Daughter is a Pats fan(sadly lol). She flew down from NC to be with me for this game. One leg of her flight was delayed and they tried to boot her off(overbooked) on the other leg and she would not take no for an answer and hounded them until they got her there. She got there mid way through the first 1/4. The whole place where I was just sat in silence for like 15 seconds,STUNNED, until realization hit that we actually won it. Not being biased, but I think this was the best SB I ever watched, just a great game from both clubs. BTW I still have the same dog mask they show at the beginning

Game 1 they used Gainwell in the redzone on the first drive. Season wasn't pointless.... the point, they take him out on key plays.  Because he isn't a star, he gets the early down reps and taken out when it's a key down.

Sad news late on Tuesday evening regarding the passing of former NFL wide receiver Charles Johnson, who played for the Eagles from 1999-2000. He caught 90 passes for 1,056 yards and eight touchdowns in his seasons here, including the one from then-quarterback Doug Pederson to beat Dallas at Veterans Stadium in a game that was so memorable for other reasons. One, it was Andy Reid's first victory as the Eagles' head coach. Two, a tackle by cornerback Bobby Taylor injured Dallas wide receiver Michael Irvin and ended his career. Said Johnson after the game: "It was a dagger route. The plan is to clear the inside coverage out and the outside receiver comes underneath 18 yards deep. The goal is to have the coverage follow the inside receiver." Johnson was an Eagle for only two seasons, but he helped the team in those early Reid years with his professionalism, his positive attitude, and his work ethic. "A great man who loved the game and who understood how to be the perfect teammate," cornerback Troy Vincent said.

Miles Sanders led all backs with just 38% of offensive snaps. He had 137 carries (two less than Jalen Hurts), 784 yards (30 less than Hurts), and failed to score a touchdown. It's hard to touch the ball 163 times in a season and not find the end zone. Sanders will assuredly score touchdowns this year, but the question with him has always been durability. And now two coaching staffs have learned he's ill-suited to a workhorse role. Durability aside, the 5-foot-11, 215-pounder has excellent vision and balance and should be the most productive member of a multi-back committee.

That said,I would not be against bringing in a basher back

I think Siri/Steichen O is better suited with a 1 cut down hill runner…. Like the brief success we seen with Howard when he filled in before injuries.

I was just looking. We can easily cut Sinnett(QB4),maybe add Rashad Penny? He has some durability issues so a med review would be in order, but his combined season avg is over 5 per carry. may be worth the risk at the right price. Sanders is the heaviest back we have at 211

I did like Howard,we could still re-sign him too. he already knows the offense. Cutting Sinnett seems like a good move to open a spot

I would be fine losing sinnett and maybe one of the lesser RB's,adding a basher RB and a BU at another spot, maybe at S

Yea wonder if it had to do with the fact we have a QB that easily held the ball longer then anyone else…. The OL was playing well majority of the season even trying to act like they weren’t is just sad.
Hurts had strong OL play all season long

problem with last year's offense, way more than anything Hurts did or didn't do, was the fact that the #1 outside threat was a diminutive rookie having a solid not spectacular campaign.  The wideouts were easily phased out in stretches by any defense worth a damn.

Ty Long(Chargers) I would look at at P. Siposs needs competition. Long 's punt average was 5 yards longer

1 read and run is easy to cover for most defenses. I need to see Hurts has grown from that. WR's now should pull defenses helping the running game,so for me it was alot of what Hurts didn't do. 900+ yards as the only decent WR wasn't terrible for a rook. We have a very nice WR corps now,so I EXPECT over 1,000 from BOTH brown and Smith with a splash of Quez and Pascal tossed in there

Yes, he will be the better fantasy RB because he will be on the field for 1st and 2nd downs.   On key plays he gets taken out.

Great in that role where he can get 10-12 carries and the other guys come in when it matters.

Neither would every other Eagles fan.

I thought we brought in a rookie that is a bigger RB?  Does it not count for us fans because it isn't a guy we recognize...like the stud Penny?
