That stuff is infectious. Really believe in Kelce’s leadership having a massive impact for us this whole time.

If Sportrack is right 45.5 mil per on a 6 year deal for Hurts seems fair to me. Although the way the market is going IDK if Hurts would sign for 6,because 5 years from now 45 mil could be too "cheap"

Others will sign this offseason also. 45 would be a team friendly contract.

A lot of rookies there would have been nice backups.

Backup S would still play though. There S package is plentiful in the league. Not to mention injury for a starter. For a few plays or extended time. RB would play and impact also. WR would be limited but still get reps.

We took Jurgens and Dean. They don’t play at all.

Idk..which rookies would you trade AJ, next year's 1st from Saints and their 2024 second round pick?

What a cheap stupid question. But if we didn’t trade for AJ. Instead traded back. We could have Watson instead. He looks great. Rookie contract. Wouldn’t have been bad really.

My idea was to trade back our 19 pick to 26. So all that list of early second rounders could have been chosen. That’s not including the first rounders that were there.

Big list of guys that already looking strong. I liked that area of this draft. So not sure how waiting a year will benefit our team. Should be developing guys now. We are. But just kind of waiting to wait is dumb. Building things together now going forward.

That RB or S options would clearly help us niw and in the future

Only real downside of not trading back to next year instead of just back in the draft was for a QB really. Only purpose that made any sense. Stock piling draft picks to make a huge draft move for the franchise QB

Their are  10 pieces to the equation...Ham would have done 9 differently.... after the fact he will let you know about the 1 he agreed with that looks like a good idea....  " called it"

Your statement was wishing for one guy to fall in a trade back in the first round scenario. I just pointing out it clearly wasn’t for just one guy. My mentality was there were several options.

So there’s no wishing one guy falls. Clearly tons of options.

I beat my head against this spiked wall because it feels so good when I STOP 🤣

Or maybe just consider different ideas. Not just one.

Just seemed you were dead set loving trading away this years first fir saints first next year was about the QB position.

2022 nineteenth for unknown 2023 first and unknown 2024 second. Didn’t do much for me. Gotta be top ten pick. We gotta a young team trying to do something now. Can’t say you look at my list of early second round 2022 draftees and can’t see how we’d benefit now from several.

  • Author

Top RB or S stick out as really making us lethal. Just imagine us doing that. And I’m talking trading back at 19 to do it. So we still add picks.

  • Author

Even where we all thought we were stuck at WR. Didn’t want to force a guy mid first round pick still. But if we ended up getting Watson…Pickens. My guys I liked. We really wouldn’t be complaining. Be looking really good still. I think.

  • Author

Will get in my I called it part on simply the results this group of draftees is already coming up with. Looked around. Most all these guys already proven they are quality.

If we traded back 19(my plan) we pick up that third round pick. So still get Dean. Even though he’s done nothing. Actually still believe in him alsoZ

How is a getting a good player this year bad compared to the crapshoot of next years Saints pick?

  • Author

One thing you can’t deny. Saints first next year. Going to do nothing to help us this year.

This year looking really potentially important.

  • Author

For you to ride my logic of getting everything to run at things this season….that logic hasn’t aged well.

Seeming more and more important everyday.

  • Author

That first round next year really so much more important now? This year you don’t have all the expectations?

That extra RB, S, TE or whatever would look great right now I think. Be huge

  • Author

Trying to understand how they wouldn’t look like a great move to you. Not like it’s a one year rental. Adding this Uber talented guy to the puzzle long term. Getting him developing a year earlier and geling with his teammates.

I just don’t see the downside of my idea. Don’t see how everybody else can’t agree or at least acknowledge the thought.

Killing me not having that. I want to win this year. Also know No Mas you feel like you’re just waiting for the postseason fail to rub things in.

Our best player sacrificed himself for the victory. Threw his body at it to get that goal. Now in the hospital.

Think they said we only had like four shots on goal the first two games combined.

Oh wow!

As that trade has aged to this point am I really still alone against that trade? Nobody else feeling like we can do it all this year some how? I didn’t like the trade without thinking we had a real shot at it all. But with a legit shot at SB….how can you agree with giving up a top draftee to this years team? Especially when it was the strength area of this draft class. Trade back 19 and get one of all those players o listed. Big list. Didn’t even include the late first rounders. That was just early half of the second round. All performing.

  • Author

Nobody here wants that RB? That TE? That S?

It was right there for us to add. Not even like I’m talking giving up all these 2023 future picks of ours to do this stuff.

  • Author

Which I was actually talking I wanted to consider. Trade back 19 pick up a third rounder to still get Dean. Get one of the many studs performing well this year. You know, basically just make a good pick. But the odds were high because all these guys I listed are doing well.

  • Author

But most top teams do trade future picks to get things done now. We could have done that. Which is just normal. So really in my mind we could have added two of those guys.

Going to get creamed by Netherlands. But had to beat Iran. Just had to. Their backyard. More than soccer involved there. Big win!
