Would you trade pick 10 for a round 1 next year and additional picks this draft? Remember all we have are 1,1,2,3,7,7. Some pretty deep talent in rounds 3 and 4 and we have guys to replace

I see 3 possibly 4 QB's going top 15 or so. We're sitting pretty to rape someone again

Personally at 10,it would be a hard decision. Take Bresse or  trade back. It would depend on the offer. Other DT's we can use later so we'd really have to be impressed with him. He would be the BPA there, but we have alot to fill,so maybe we go another route. I will trust the org, they have done a great job 2 years running. The hat trick would be nice

Did Howie blow it drafting Hurts in round 2?

Not the same thing and you know it. Twisting things again

He drafted a round two MVP contender. Think that answers itself. Love with the Packers was a huge mistake though.

I counted 40 posts in a row...before another person posted on here.

Completely ignoring what was my main point.

" there was no way an organization ( Eagles) who never used a 1st round pick EVER 1933... was going to BOTH ..draft a 1st round safety and ALSO trade for CGJ.

40 posts and this wasn't addressed?

Narcissism!

A football roster is like one Giant puzzle.  Like any puzzle the most important pieces are the corner pieces and the entire outside.

When someone has an agenda.. they always focus on the minor pieces that are missing.

Look around the league...there are mostly teams that are missing key pieces...not minor backups.

It's interesting though...for someone who was an Andy Reid waterboy... the Dream Team had brutal starting S and LBs...but it didn't matter then ???

Anyone on this board think if the Eagles would have drafted a S in round 1, that they would have traded for CGJ?

Anyone on here prefer to give back CGJ and the Saints picks for a rookie S?

Chime in if you feel like you would prefer a rookie S over CGJ and the picks!

I would like to post these questions to not only this board , but anyone who is a football fan that can read.

Who thinks the Eagles would have traded for CGJ after drafting a rookie S?

Who would prefer the rookie S over CGJ and the Saints picks.

I want to see if there is a 2nd person on the planet that thinks this way.

Yes Howie knew he was an MVP when he drafted him(please). Crapshoot like most other picks. Reagor was a 1 pick-crapshoot. Love was a round 1 pick,so you see it's a crapshoot right???? Nobody with a brain was convinced Hurts was the guy until we saw him play THIS year. Everyone(except you of course) was waiting for Hurts to show some NFL quality capabilities. He did that-THIS YEAR and with a great team we built for HIM. he has the best O line protection anywhere. It would take a serious effort for Hurts to fail. IDK what else to say. Shew should look alot better this week too after some game time play last week. Shew tossed for 355 yards(despite 4 TO's),Hurts has only surpassed that 1 game all year. But Shew sucks and Hurts rules-comical. plug ANY decent QB into this offense and watch them go. He is in the MVP convo because he has a great team around him. Howie built it for him,or ANY decent QB we would have. I'm happy with Hurts progress, but how about the rest of the team? D gave him more chances on offense with their TO ratio,he has top rate receivers,a top TE,decent RB's,one of the best if not THE best O line. IDK how you could NOT succeed. Hurts still has some hurdles to clear, like winning 2 post season games. I see no reason that can't be acheived

I think it does matter. Don’t think we’ve ever seen his combination before. Knees can be broken. But he’s a tough strong dude. It totally matters. Most any of these other ‘Running QBs’ you want to compare him to under that label were scrawny speedsters. Didn’t work hard. Didn’t have the coach ability.

Not denying any of this  other than it does matter. He's human…rough game lol

Did you notice how the cowboys d was playing? They completely focused on stopping the run.

I’m glad Shew did ok. Our WR torched that kind of D scheme.

No way! They made the right decision. I  can't wait to see CGJ back in action.

Game time!!!

I think it absolutely matters how thick and muscular he is. That is a big key to his short yardage. But think it’s what the other runners didn’t really have historically. Cam was big. But almost all the others were actually very slight.

Hurts built himself up like a brick wall.

Let me help you out here.

Great QBs have a 15 year career more or less. Great RBs very seldom go much past 5 years and 10 years is the exception.

Why? Because runners take more punishment than a passer

UDFA-Dylan Horton DL 5 tech/edge from TCU. Not even found on many boards. I'll pick him up and see what he can do. We play 3 tech, imagine he can play that also. No pickj wasted but I'll take a UDFA flier on him

Your New years resolution should be to avoid using logic here 🤣

That’s definitely a solid point to consider

But Rb have to charge into the Dline much more. Hurts mostly deals with guys his size relatively.

But a very athletic QB just loses some of that with age. Basically making him more like the less mobile QBs. So I could see Hurts rely less on running in his thirties. He’s so freaking young still. Learned as much lessons in college as anybody ever has. Already very experienced in the NFL.
