My counter to a deep shot is the blitz...  best way to stop a play that takes longer to develop is to squash it ASAP.

The good thing for us...Hurts usually gets rid of the deep pass fairly quickly.  I like our guys on the jump balls too.

Cool, take the deep shot, then let them blitz, that would play right into our hands with screens and crosses

If I had to nail it down to 1 point/sentence/thought it would be,consistently put them in 3rd and longs while avoiding same. Of course that takes into account everything we just talked about

I would like Hurts to take a deep shot as early as possible and keep taking them. Not risky passes, overthrow if you have to,but keep them thinking about it. That should free things up for Goedert. I'm sure they are thinking the same thing

This made me think on something I’ve been considering: Steichen needs to design plays to separate Goedert from Fred Warner. Goedert is so great at YAC. Warner is a perfect solution to this however.

I know what I said why do you feel that was an attack on you? Because I talked about Hurts? Are you co-joined? Really sad displays of immaturity

I don’t know what you do otherwise(than you stating how you’ll take the trash out regardless of pain). Somehow you compare Hurts serious injury to yourself. So, once again, I expected you to not feel 100 percent and take out that trash like the MV Trash taker outter you are.

I'm thinking if Goedert can keep Warner occupied.. that's a win for us. Don't even think he needs to get the ball...keep Warner away from blitzing or helping in coverage.  Put Goedert in motion and run the ball opposite side... all that I think would help neutralize Warner.

Almost like mentally Goedert is the defensive player in a sense just by not allowing Warner to be his usual self.

Except, they can blitz and have Warner clean up after

What do you think of his post when he said Lane has it worse?   Is that ignored because you agree?

Not if he is occupied with Goedert though right?

9ers best in the league when they have the opposing team in 3rd and long.

Also heard where Hurts basically has control over the playbook - if he likes a play it's in, if not it's out.

Have to capitalize on the high percentage plays on 1st & 2nd downs.

Where the hell did I say this????? Unreal. If Hurts is So freakin hurt he can't play he WON'T. He could have played in the Saints game!!!! So if he cuts himself shaving I expect a full on panic attack from you. yes I'm waiting for you to get in the bag so I can take you out. Stop with the 3rd grade playground BS

I'm trash and a hater, why respond to me at all? Just put me on ignore if you can't handle it. I don't need to know if hurts stubbed his toe,I don't need to know if he stepped in dog crap, but you fall for every story line put up by writers trying to stay employed. It's to the point now that its comical. Yet zero mention of the pain Lane has, which is by far worse, but we'll just ignore that because wittle baby hurts has a booboo. Pathetic

I think they will have a hard time getting or keeping us in 3rd and long. This was my "1 key to the game in a nutshell" sentence above lol

SO WTF does that have to do with you???? I hurt,I go on, 58 hurts,he goes on,123 hurts he goers on but we don't get articles about us. Why not just get the swamp water IV and save yourself all that reading time?

Need more information about "control over the playbook.” I think most all QBs have a say in likes and dislikes of plays. Fairly common.

That he didn't even know he had 😆 yet no comment about Lane. Go hold Hurts hand until game time

Control over what plays are in the playbook to begin with have nothing to do with audibles. Try to pay attention and follow along…before making the snide comment especially.

Audibles change the playcall….not controlling the playbook.

This is your specialty and they are always unfounded if someone says a bad word about Hurts. Everyone sees it but you,so sad. So Siri calls a play from the PLAYBOOK. Hurts doesn't like it and wants to change the play. Is that not Hurts controlling the playbook?????(aka audible)

I could be wrong, but what ‘58 stated was that coach is running plays by Hurts first. Deciding whether they’re even in the playbook. Gotta be in the playbook to even be called. So way before anything you’re talking about, that’s just my understanding of the statement. Control over playbook….versus changing the playcall.

????   When did GB compare himself to Hurts?    I think you really look for things for no reason.
