Wonder how serious Caffs' calf strain is? Exertion could easily worsen or even tear it.

Don't wanna see him tear if but i wouldn't be disappointed if he couldn't play

I just don’t want to pay though.   Backup QB could be like $5 mil if it's a vet

Seems like Tanny is on a downhill slope,so who knows?

Was watching stats(you know those pesky things that don't matter) and we are very much superior in "going for it" on 3rds and 4ths. Either this will be a close game,or we will blow them out. We haven't faced this good a team all year, but they haven't either.

They lost big to the Chiefs... before they won all these games in a row.

It's not when they expire...it's that another team can't sign them until the next league year starts.

The wink wink window to talk is 2 days before...but the day of the new league year is when it's official.

OK thanks, why I was asking was about the trade window for Sanders if that's the direction we go

We can't trade Sanders. He isn't under contract for 2023.

But he is under contract RIGHT NOW,thats why I asked when the contract expires. I know we are past the trade deadline, still there is a contract expiration date

So many free agent RBs.     It's why I don't want to spend on Sanders.   The Sportrac projections...  Jamal Williams 4.1 .... Raheem Mostert 2.2....  wouldn't you rather have a combo like that for less than paying Sanders?  Because then you still need to add another RB salary in the mix.  So many guys available... you could wait it out like 2017 let the prices drop.  You would assume a RB would love to come here for the opportunity to play in this offense?

I don't see Sanders here.I was asking about if we could get something for him

No more trades for any of the guys set to be free agents. .   Hockey does that the days leading up to free agency so that the team who trades for the rights gets to make offers early... not exactly sure how that works.  But football not that way.

Foles would have been the exception because technically it was an opt out on both sides.

Josh Jacobs interests me

Eagles 2021... 550 carries 2715 yards

Eagles 2022... 544 carries 2505 yards

The team rushed better last year...they were the # 1 rush team.

And Hurts was on pace to break QB rush attempts THIS YEAR.  Sanders was 5th in rushing THIS YEAR.

But the team led the league LAST YEAR... with better numbers.

So to me having it spread around with more guys is better.  It's why I don't want to pay a guy...then feel the need to just get his numbers up.

Other factors are we are passing better this year, but you could argue teams should have been more focused on stopping our run game last year.

Anyway..I just don't want to pay one guy. That guy has to offer something in the pass game to justify it for me.

Agree,we rushed better last year when Sanders had zero TD,no reason to pay

I believe the player technically finishes the league year with the original team.   Which has no trade value because why would someone trade for Sanders when his contract expires in March?

Way too much $$$

IDK depends on if he wants to win. More things than money sometimes. This was supposed to be "their year"

Well as I said it will be close or a blow out in our favor. They are tough, but so are we.if we find the keys,we can blow them out

OK so if I understand correctly, either we sign Sanders or he is a FA and we can't gain anything from him. Thats why I was asking when the actual contract expires because you own him until then

Right, he is an excellent piece to have the next 2 years as part of committee being he adds value on pass plays and can run a few times per game.  Real cheap too.

Again...not time to que the smart-ass comments about Gainwell being a star..  my comment on him...league minimum and can function as part of your offense.  No need for Walter Payton references.

IDK what "cheap" RB's are out there. As you said Jacobs is another Sanders looking for pay day. Hunt probably the same,so it would have to be a RB that gets cuts from a high RB draft pick team

Or we cut bait with Sanders and draft one ourselves. But so many needs yet

Yes... you can't gain anything via trade for anyone you don't have under contract in 2023.  You can get comp picks ...that's it.   No trading of Sanders, CGJ, Epps, Dillard, Seamulo, White,  Edwards....or anyone else who isn't on the books with an active contract in 2023. Correct.

We resign or get a 2024 comp pick.

I want to know what Sermon looks like. As a fan there is no way to tell. he was "adequate" as OSU,seems like a nice RBBC RB,but no way to know

Jasobs will make more than Sanders... probably 10-13 mil ... Google free agent running backs....Spotrac has the list...a lot of them.

Pollard would interest me the most if I had to spend.

Ok got it,I thought maybe there was a window of After season trading. Thanks for explaining

Nah they will keep Pollard before Zeke, they can save 10+ mil cutting him(Zeke)

But you see why right.   If we traded those guys to another team... they would still become free agents in March.  So why would a team trade for them?

Pollard=upside,Zeke is on his way down

Pollard is a free agent.
