Reich and Flip had no issues with Wentz. Need a coach that can keep Wentz in check like the later two guys.

Maybe but he was young and fresh outta college basically, then his HUGE EGO took over,so I can't say that would be the case now

When your teams gear is 70% off on Fanatics, I think you are losing fans?

I think most teams do that at end of year don't they? Lots of jersey's of players who likely are not back...

Attendance drops?

Read my post. I said it was unlikely and if it would happen it would take several years if at all. I said this is a very passionate fan base. It isn't me saying fans would walk away.

Looks to me like Ped tried and got fired for it(not that I was a huge Ped fan)

To what I read Doug and Press both let Wentz walk over them neither wanting to challenge him or check him that’s on them... Doug relied on Reich and Flip to be the and cops and put Wentz in his place once they left that guy wasn’t there any more.

if you going to let someone walk over they are going to do it until you stop them

Ped could not because of Howies love for Wentz. Wentz could do no wrong to Howie

Nah that an excuse for Doug in my eyes he could have done ole ty to check Wentz again if two other coaches had no issues with him(still got into the heated debates with him) and checked him why couldn’t Doug and Press

At any rate, I think this BS reduces us to promoting Duce because I can't see anyone else exposing themselves to this abuse. After the SB players wanted to play here, and they would take less loot to do so. Howie destroyed all that. Now we have no staff to speak of, we are in a cap disaster with a QB who can't/won't play and the rest of our players have to be saying WTH happens to me? Like I said before No balls Lurie is letting Howie run this team into the ground

Like I said he was fresh out of college then(read my post again?) THEN his HUGE Ego took over. I don't think Reich would even want him at this point

If I am the Colts, I am not looking at Wentz. I am looking at how to position myself with a small move up to get Mac Jones(or maybe Trask) without wasting a bunch of draft capital. They could probably get Trask at 22 where they are now

It just seems to me if you get the right coach that can challenge and push Wentz your going to reap the benefits and see that MVP caliber player.

Think that’s why we have seen the reports of the Colts wanting him believe Reich mows the kind of player he is and can challenge and push him to max the results from him

The ego was already there and he came out of college being the guy that questioned and challenged things it not a terrible thing but you definitely need the right coaches in place to handle it which we lost

If I was Reich I would not spend all that on a "maybe" I will take Trask and keep my loot intact. Obviously you feel he would spend it

Teams have no control of who gets snatched away. College players normally have the same coach the entire time they are there, and they really MUST listen in college and do what they are told if they want a shot at the NFL. The ego takes off AFTER you get that big paycheck(see Manziel et al) Wentz is our Manziel

Anyway TY 58 for the article, really EYE OPENING!!

Nope but teams do have control on who replaces them and who they hire.

As for Reich it isn’t a maybe to him with Wentz he knows what he is getting in Wentz he knows the player he is... The maybe is an unknown college QB that has never played in the nfl

I don't see this. I think his career is irreparably damaged unless he takes it upon himself to have an attitude change and get help and listen. That is on him. He has to want it and from what I read in that article he is not mature enough to do so

Just like a HC we can't find? Smith signed elsewhere right after he talked with Lurie because he wasn't going to expose himself to the same abuse as Ped. So do we REALLY have control over who we hire? Not now we don;t we will take whoever accepts the job

We definitely took different things from the article that’s for sure... Because I seen Wentz as not much different from the like of guys in Brady and Rodgers. They challenge and question everything they are known to get into with coaches have heated debates. It takes the right coaches to challenge and push them.

Could be wrong but think Wentz with the right coaching will be back to form

Reich is not the owner,it's not his money. There is no way I spend what would be required to get a QB this egotistical. I will take Trask and spend ZIP(maybe sign Rivers for one more go)

Lmao 😂 he had like 3 other interviews after us and left like handful more before he even met us.. And your just speculating that we even wanted him

Lmao 😂 Reich is the HC and likely as an actual working relationship with his GM. Likely says you get Wentz we can win.

Wentz is hardly the only ego driven QB in the nfl

No we don't see things the same. Brady and Aaron don't miss open receivers. They may have a down game or 2, but not 12 in a row and they probably don't have "pissing matches" at the LOS about the called plays

Only place I could see this happening is with the pats, but even so, IDK if even wild bill wants that challenge. he seemed to tame down Cam,so I suppose it's possible, but once again would they waste the money on that gamble? IDK the answer to that, but they are also in position to take a nice rook QB
