Tomorrow pads.   No word on what level of contact.  Doesn’t sound like Sirianni  Howie is a big fan of tackling to the ground.

There you go

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Did Davion Taylor practice today?

He took some first team reps but was limited with a quad injury.

What is the point of doing this with Barnett?  Or do they just have no intention of re-signing him?

He's $10M this year, they probably just tacked on void years to push money into next year

I know that's what they did.  I just don't see the point of doing that.  Either sign him to a new deal and try to reduce the cap hit this year as part of it or leave it be and stop screwing the future cap.

Since all the training camp competitions have been decided already, this money would be for mega extensions for Mailata and Quez "Nate” Watkins

This was the year to take your medicine and get the cap straightened out. Howie did the opposite.

It reeks of short term desperation. Once this happens it’s time for a change.

Once he’s old enough the Eagles need to hire him to talk Eagles football

Love something like Howie loves restructuring contracts and pushing cap forward.

Yep.  Reeks of that dumpster troll trying to save his job.

Because they are so up against it they have no room to do anything and he's one of the only contracts left that could actually open up money. It's why they should just move on from Ertz, if they did that they wouldn't have to do anything.

I don’t think he’s done the opposite.  He’s made moves to push money into 2022 when the cap increases while moving Wentz’s contract off the books.  Ertz may well be moved soon and a Fletcher Cox move sometime this season is a distinct possibility.  If those two moves happen it will free up quite a bit of future money.

They’ve chosen not to ‘bottom out’ this season on the premise of giving Hurts enough help to evaluate where to proceed on the franchise QB path.  I’m hopeful a lot of younger players are given serious snaps this season to build a young core.  If some of them run with the opportunity the future looks brighter than it does right now

No. They were going to but then Howie changed his mind and didn't touch his deal, until now of course.

So more void years and the start on ruining 2022 cap? Lol

Doesn't seem that weird to me. He didn't need to do Lane at the time but since he's bungling Ertz now he needs to

I don’t think so either but it included the link back to the original report in March.

Lance has a long learning curve ahead of him.  Perfect situation to have Jimmy G there for one season while he learns the pro game.  That is Plan A and has been from the start.

They are under pressure to return to the playoffs, though.  If they start slow over the first 5-6 games or Jimmy gets injured (more likely) then Lance might be on the field sooner than later

This made me laugh

Doesn’t really matter because the money rolls over. The hit they take in 2022 will be covered with the rollover money. This is ultimately just to have emergency money.  That’s for Barnett.

I would assume Lanes hit will happen in 2023 or 2024.
