That seems overdramatic to call it the worst offensive practice ever. I think I saw that Hurts was picked off 1-2 times and sacked 1-2 times. If that's the worst ever then 🤷‍♂️

There were a lot of PBU’s all day too. When every reporter is saying the offense was terrible, it was bad. I’m not sure they scored a TD at all today.

The O-line was a hodge podge of random guys too, which clearly didn’t help

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

I think Sirianni is doing a good job relating to the players, but I am a little concerned about the short practices. You don't want to run players into the ground and I get trying to prevent injuries, but less practice time means less reps and I'm not sure how players will do in games endurance-wise with short practices vs. playing for a few hours.  I wouldn't be surprised if Lurie wants shorter practices due to the injury issues over the past few years.  I think the offense also takes more time due to timing issues and the defense usually is ahead at this time of year.

Oh wow lol

Who were the starters on Oline?

They'll all be tired by the 2nd quarter

Dillard, Opeta, Kelce, Driscoll and Johnson started at first team. I didn’t hear if it lasted like that all day though.

It’s not a good thing for one side of the ball to dominate , and the coordinators are  trying to out play the other side of the ball , there are no designed practices to make one side of the ball look better  then the other .

it’s called a bad day is all

The offense is bad, not sure what people expected. This team finished last in the worst division in the history of football and made few upgrades to the offense.

This was always going to be a transition year.

I don't think people expected a juggernaut of a team. I think people expected..or at least hoped that there would be some encouraging signs for our players. Instead, we've gotten:

"Hurts is nice and works hard. Hey, is that another bad pick?"

"Jalen Reagor is fat and can't catch. Oh, that catch he made the other day? Slay stopped covering him three yards down field"

"Wow, that's some hairstyle on Ertz! Chuckle"

"Dallas Goedert is fat"

"JJaws mom bought a new umbrella"

"Watkins with the catch of the day...in Madden!"

"Did you see that catch by rookie sensation DeVonta Smith? What do you mean that was a run of the mill middle schooler on another field and Smiths knee is powder?"

"Jordan Mailata looks great. Let's designate him to the bench so we can watch that tub of crap Dillard cry again."

"Speaking of tub - Nate Herbig really slimmed down. He lost 30 pounds. 'Course, when you're that big, that's like throwing a lawn chair off of the Titanic"

"They gave the keys of the franchise to that guy? He just missed that hoop by fifteen feet! He needs some work on his accuracy like Deshaun Watson "needs" another finger in the ass"

And so on.

I would never have guessed that Barnett was having a phenomenal camp based on what we've heard so far. Pretty sure that's the only tweet I've seen saying anything like that

Sooo...are you trying to tell us you don't like fat people?

There have been quite a few beat writers talking about how good Barnett has been.

I’ve heard and read he’s been good from a few, but I do wonder how much of it is because he’s going against Dillard a lot

I saw a tweet that he was giving Lane fits today. Maybe that was posted in here earlier.

Apparently there were a lot of false start penalties today also

Do we know who was screwing up on Oline the most? Was Dillard getting beat constantly?

I love Dickerson as a player and have. But his injury history scares the ish out of me.

Maybe we can do something a little different.  Games started by Hurts

Sacks for Sweat

Games missed for Brooks or Johnson

Number of corners who start foe the season

I dunno if I want to do anything based on games started/missed given the COVID angle. Definitely something performance based. Like PPG allowed by the D, sack totals, QBR, receiving yards per game or something along to those lines.

Honestly. If the Eagles come out of this season with Smith and Mailata emerging as cornerstones on offense, and maybe a couple other players. Whether it be Dickerson and another WR or Goedert emerging as a stud. I think that's a positive for the future of the offense. Not the best outcome, but a positive. I expected this offense to need a major overhaul anyway, including QB and maybe coach if he doesn't prove to be anything special. But if they can nail down a few long-term staples at a few key positions, that's better than nothing. And they'll have the draft capital to fix other areas. Whether it be QB or something else.

Kelce! Go for it one more time!

It amuses me that people get concerned about a practice in early August.

You have a new HC, new QB, new scheme, young WRs and RBs and lots of injuries - did you expect the offense to have jelled after 5 days of practices in pads?

Me, I don't believe anything written about players until I see them in exhibition games confirming the write ups.

Just a couple thoughts on that…

Despite his young age for draft year, Derek Barnett is very much a "he is what he is” player.  We all can and have debated exactly how good he is, but it’s not changing.  Barnett having a phenomenal camp just doesn’t mean much.

Sweat…I believe the hype simply because I want to.  I loved the pick and love his game.  And that’s what training camp is for (from a fan perspective).  We just reinforce what we already believe.  Not enough of consequence is available to digest, from our fan perspective, to change any pre existing opinions.

With that said, "fine or mixed otherwise” doesn’t give me warm and fuzzy feelings about Hurts.

I got concerned about the offense back in March.

Ostman was wrecking Mailata in every tweet this time last year.  And now Mailata has been labeled Ogden 2.0 while Ostman…is he even on the team?  Is he a real person?

Well have to see with our own eyes once the exhibition games start.

Nothing to see. Just look at the roster. This offense is going to struggle.

But "he’s a gamer” aka will run around like a chicken with his head cut off

Hurts hasn’t been that good in camp. He’s been a mixed bag for most of it and had a terrible day today.

It’s funny how he hasn’t even been named the starter yet. Get ready for a long season. I’m expecting 4-5 wins.
