Somebody has to get cut, it might as well be him

I rather keep Hightower than Ward. First cut should be JJAW though.

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Yeah, we agree on that.

Hightower can't catch the ball.

Selfish?  Easy.

Good guy.  Great guy, really.  But how can the whole thing be a joke and he not be selfish?  Failed pro football player turns failed pro baseball player.  Like Jordan, he got his shot at pro baseball because of his name and who he was.  When he did that, he took someone else's opportunity away from them.  Selfish.  He goes back to being on the SECN, which is where failed or aged athletes go.  Ok, great.  At age 34 he feels the urge to try his hand at pro football again.  This time, at an entirely new position.  Knowing his personal relationship with Meyer, he uses that to try out for the Jags.  When he did that, he took someone else's opportunity away from them.  Selfish. Meyer is a dirt-bag, no doubt.  But I wouldn't consider him selfish in this scenario.  Tebow, nice guy, but selfish.

C'mon man, it's no more selfish than anyone else trying out. He got cut and likely so would have any other t.e. who's "place he took".

Awful view but as good as we have for now

Yes it is!  This might have been the only shot for one of those other real Tight Ends that likely would have been cut.  Young guys, who have been playing tight end their whole careers. At 34 years old, he used his relationship with Meyer to get in the way of that opportunity for that other player.

Nah. Just because he's 34 doesn't mean the dream has died. Hell if I got a chance at 59 (lol) I would go for it.

Great catch but chances he get's called for a push off?

JFC.  That guy is as immature and self promoting as Ben Simmons.  I hope he is able to perform when it matters.  Unlike Simmons.

If we see him making videos of himself dunking the ball over the goal post next summer or shooting it through the uprights then we know he’s gone full Ben.

You're not a celebrity who has a relationship with the head coach.

Agreend

This is true, because if I was I would be trying out for the team.

Weak and over-played.  Do better.

It's getting slightly bizzare how you feel like you need to defend him anytime I or someone criticizes him.

Your bishing about everything players you don't like does she's is weak and overplayed. It's just an Instagram post of a great catch. Really not a big deal either way.

I disagree. Urban took that other player’s opportunity away, not Tebow. You can also make the case for that 91st player to be better.

Yes the whole thing was/is a joke but you can’t blame Tebow for being given opportunities.

You really expect him to say no?

BLG about to tweet that Reagor didn’t secure the ball with two hands.

*BLG Voice* You can clearly see he touched the DB with his left hand as he landed, so it should be offensive pass interference.

Didn't seem like one to me. A little bit of mutual hand checking but didn't seem like he ever used it to get leverage or hold the DBs hands down.

Maybe he’ll post this is how it should be done

You can't do the BLG voice unless you put a handful of Cheetos in your mouth

@ManuManu Thanks for posting tweets and such for camp/joint practices.

Why keep a 33% catch rate guy who has shown limited ability catching the ball over a 70% catch rate guy?  Makes no sense to me.

So cut Tyree Jackson and keep Croom?  Because Jackson is converting to TE from QB and Croom has played that position all his life?  I am sure his relationship with Meyer helped but his athleticism was probably an attraction for Tebow just like with Jackson.  I agree on the age difference but Tebow has been playing baseball for the last few years so he was 34 in beat up football years quite possibly.  On the 90 man roster no one is really preventing another player from a shot.  Same argument could be made for the Eagles keeping 8 TEs on the roster.  After all, Wilson immediately signed with WTF so were the Eagles blocking his shot by burying him deep on our roster?
