Reid to scour the country for the worst college quarterback and win 15 super bowls with him. Nope. But McNabbs numbers, other than the season with TO do not really change much from the average. Development tells me that he starts at the beginning, and by the end, the numbers are higher than the average consistently.

Tom Brady = not developed. Peyton Manning = Hall of Shame for his failure to develop.

Montana, Young, and Ken Anderson were all just as good or better without him as with him. Walsh-Montana as a great combo I can buy. Walsh making Young or Anderson? That's a big reach. Anderson was a better QB during the 80s late in his career than he was in the 70s, and Walsh was loooong gone by then.

That's the Joe Ostman award. But Ostman is still here so it doesn't feel right to name an award after him yet. In the interim, it may be the Cornelius Ingram award, or the JaCory Shepherd award.

Anderson led the league in more single season statistical categories in the 70's under Walsh than he did in the 80's.

Shepherd works I guess.

Just wanted to point out this is very different from the JR Reed award which is for a promising player that does something stupid to get injured off the field

It means becoming better than you were.

There has been absolute clowns that have made the pro bowl. Are we gonna use the NFL network top 100 as the next measuring stick ??
August 18, 20214 yr lol how is this conversation about developing QBs still going? Must be a slow news day smh🙄
August 18, 20214 yr Who gets the first annual Ben Simmons award for the player on the team that the fans and city hates the most? It’s a city wide sports award

Montana didn't have an NFL career before Walsh. Young was an embarrassment before Walsh. What they did with and after Walsh was a result of their development with Walsh. This is hilarious. If you are talking about Anderson's stats to prove that he was 'better' without Walsh, that just shows that you are out of your element. Ken Anderson's first Pro Bowl appearance happened in his last year with Walsh. That would indicate he was 'developed' during that time. The fact that he was able to maintain that level is a credit to the development he had. The fact that his stats improved in the 80s... might be related to the changes to the game as a result of some very specific rule changes that opened up the passing game more... check the big rule changes in 1978 for some information about that. Montana was drafted by Walsh... And they made history together.

I did fajitas on Sunday with my veggies coming from the garden except onions. Poblanos, jalapeños, serranos, bells, Hatchs, Anaheims - all doing well. Habaneros and cayennes flowering now. Bumper zucchini crop and my tomatoes are thriving. Looks like I am about a week away for my first tomatillos. Salsa verde real soon. Should have NM red and green sauces too. And who knew that paprikas grow so well. Home grown and smoked paprika probably in September. The jalapeño I dedicated to ripening on the plant for drying and smoking is well on the way to giving me chipotles. Going to ancho some of the poblanos too. The rain this week after all the heat has been very good. Now stopping tomorrow so I can mow and watch a decent PS game testing more players works for me. Just let it keep raining today.
