This team is really good at OL and DL, and that really matters. There's also a good number of legitimately interesting breakout candidates on the roster. But I can't bet on anything more than around .500 due to uncertainty with injuries, Hurts, and the coaching staff.

Not pushing Ward, just noting what has been seen by reporters.  I believe if Ertz sticks and Sirianni incorporates Scott and Gainwell in the passing game like we suspect, then when Ward is in this year, we see deeper routes from him.  If he is WR#4, he really will benefit from the dilemma of covering the other WRs.

Every condemnation I see of the Eagles in national projections, seem to forget about the injuries the Eagles had on offense last year and naysay the potential of the Eagles weapons.  They may surprise, who knows. But if the OL gives Hurts time, someone is going to be open.

I think given the low expectations from the Eagles this year that they are toying with preserving the starters this preseason.  May be a bit on the cutting edge.  In the past, first PS, a couple of series  for starters, second went well into the second quarter to a half for the starters, third went into the third for the starters and at most a series in the fourth, if any, for the starters.  Equivalent of 18 games.  If the starters play at all Friday, we are talking maybe the equivalent of a half at most for the starters.  So the Eagles starters get 17 1/2 games (assuming no playoffs).  That is less wear and tear.  I also think they are fine if the experiment fails given the low expectations this year.  I think I have come to grips with that possibility.  I do think, however, as we react, we need to see how health and condition play out in December.

While I agree Braveheart is more fiction than fact, you seem to be downplaying the real Wallace. He wasn't a "warlord", he was a noble, who rebelled against Edward's insistence that Scotland be subservient to England. Wallace and Moray fought for Scottish independence. I'm not sure why you act like subservience to a king wasn't something the people then wanted? They just preferred a king of their own to Edward, which seems reasonable.

He was named Guardian of Scotland after his win at Stirling Bridge, which was a masterclass in war tactics. Wallace even went into North England at one point on raids. Ultimately, the story is great because the English had all the advantages, in terms of money, supplies, training and equipment, yet the Scottish, led by Wallace initially, were able to fight back and score some impressive victories. It writes itself. And, he did in fact kill a sheriff, though obviously the wife and Prima Nocta were nice Hollywood devices. 

Yes, Bruce is also an incredibly interesting character as well. His victory at Bannockburn is also legendary. But Wallace has the life that was better suited for Hollywood, and it's not close. 

That Pagnetti interview on the ITB podcast was great. Very insightful on analytics and how he helped the Eagles.
