Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

So you’re doing it this year?

I actually thought about volunteering to do so, but I can't rely that I will have the time to keep up with it every week.

Maybe instead of just 1 person doing it for the entire season, each week some of us could volunteer to do it when time allows us to do so?

There's so many restrictions for unvaccinated. The league may as well just say it's required to be vaccinated to play NFL now

They want to, NFLPA said no

So they still have those crazy restrictions for coaches this year?  I think it was that they couldn’t be in the locker room or on the sidelines if they weren’t vaccinated.  Or something like that.

Not sure. I remember one team not having their HC at a game last season because he had COVID even though there were no symptoms. IIRC people were wondering why the team didn't just give him a booth so he could still coach

I could see players calling out NFLPA and other players once this starts messing with games mid season

I saw a report where the NFLPA were against the NFL making it a requirement to play.

Well that’s the point. It’s all unity now in August, but if it starts messing with the games and if like the NFL have said, that if they can’t reschedule a game both teams lose their game cheques, I could see that unity going away.

Do players lose their game checks from forfeited games?

This guy is starting to get on my nerves.  He’s a 3rd stringer, at best.  Little full of himself.

Alright! A candidate for my next player to defend!

This is where I read it.

Quote

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported Thursday that the NFL sent a memo to its clubs stating that if a game cannot be rescheduled during the 18-week schedule due to a COVID-19 outbreak among unvaccinated players, the team with the outbreak will forfeit and be credited with a loss, per sources informed of the situation.

In addition, players on both teams will not be paid for the lost contest, and the team responsible for the cancelled game due to unvaccinated players will cover financial losses and be subject to potential discipline from the Commissioner's office.

It’s not like I hate him.  I just thinks he’s being elevated too high by some of the fans and the press.  He’s a fringe player.

I wish he was more of a return specialist (like Sproles was), but regardless, he's a capable change of pace back that honestly is more reliable of a receiver than Sanders is. He's quality depth. I wouldn't label him a "fringe" player at this time. I'm not sure who is "evaluating him too high." It's not like people are calling for him to start.

I'd like to see us get him on the PS. There's potential there and he really needs another year of development before he can really challenge for playing time.

He's really good against the Giants... and apparently the Jets.

Beyond that... he is just a guy.    As for his return capabilities... they don't exist.

I'm not sure why 3rd string would be too high. The guy produces when asked to play (HB). I have high hopes for Gainwell, but that doesn't change my opinion of Scott. At least this year we won't have to watch Wentz sail short passes four yards over his head.

Eagles are sixth in waiver priority, right? I think we’re gonna be claiming a few players, maybe 3 or 4. I could see a DT, LB, CB or two, and safety.

Of course we couldn’t get squat for him…

I think so. I don't think we move back after a claim until the regular season either. So maybe next Tuesday or something.
