Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

"We’ll add players for sure here in the next 24 hours,” Roseman said.

"Maybe sometimes we’ve gone with an older guy in the short term, and then the next year we’ve got to go draft another guy at that same position. I think we’re investing in our player development program,” Roseman said. "We’re investing in our coaches and trusting in those guys to get these guys better and be ready to play this season.”

It doesn’t violate the CBA and fundamentally the decision is connected to keeping other union members and team employees healthy.

In both articles "the NFL reiterated in May there is a rule that prohibits teams from cutting players due to vaccination status.”

I agree with everything your saying in theory. And NFL wanted to mandate it but NFLPA said no, so both agreed to these rules. Meyer is dumb and doesn’t understand when to keep his mouth shut, even if nothing comes from this.

I’d love to get coutee. He can play special teams and is a slot that can also give you snaps on the outside. I much rather have him then jjaw-ful

What’s the over/under of games before urban Meyer has a heart problem and is forced to quit?

Dude hasn't lost much his entire coaching career.  He starts out 1-6 or something he might lose his mind.

17.5. He’s either one and done or two years max.

The height of the meyer coaching career could be week 1. They play the texans. If they lose to that crap texans team he really should step down lol. The jags have a chance to be 2-2 after four. They have at the texans, vs. Denver, vs Arizona and at Bengals. The bengals game is a toss up. However after that they have a brutal stretch of vs. Titans, vs. Dolphins, bye, at seattle, vs. Buffalo, at Indy, vs. sf, vs atlanta, at Rams and at titans. Then finally they get Houston and Jets.

I can actually see him bolting for USC if that job opens up.

This’ll show how closely I’ve been paying attention to this team this offseason…

Who is this punter sypholis? Wtf happened to Johnston? He’s good.

He got the big bucks in Texas. With our high powered offense we shouldn’t be punting much anyway.

Haha remember the time Wentz lost the season opener to Dwayne Haskins.

I was just listening to Zangaro and Frank podcast and they predicted 3 waiver wire pickups by the Eagles — a DT, WR, and DB.  Zangaro kept going back and forth so often on Jordan Howard being back or gone it was impossible to keep up with him.

The only names on your list that would interest me would be Keke Coutee and Karl Joseph.  I would stay away from the older guys; not much sense for a rebuilding team.  I wasn’t high on Collin Johnson coming out of his draft but it’s possible the Eagles could see him as a way to cut ties with JJAW

No RB?  Fourth RB looks like the best option from the waiver wire.  That said, they carried Howard on the PS after Miami dropped him.

Howie said that STs mattered for JJAW and I can see that. Aggressive and active on coverage teams.

I saw no cutting players solely due to vaccination status, not that it cannot be a factor.

Waiver awards at noon, then PS signings and IR tomorrow then secret practices for the next week.

Even suggesting it went into consideration is stupid. That’s the point. Meyer is a leaking sieve who could have just said "we take several factors into consideration when determining our roster.” There’s a reason he’s the only HC or GM that even suggested vaccination status was a factor.

I don’t think anything will actually come out of this but it’s just dumb to even raise the possibility. He’s shown to be kind of clueless time and time again.
