Isn’t he automatically 10days away from team since he is unvaxxed or did that rule change?

It depends if he is close contact or tests positive. If he is close contact, tests negative, he can return after 5 days. If he is Covid+, unvaxxed, he is out this week.

Unvaxxed wentz went out and caught the COVID.  10games no contact with the team.  Colts need to finish strong by beating raiders and jags.  Gunna have to beat the raiders with a qb that’s never started an nfl game.

I’m sure wentz teammates/coaches aren’t upset about his unvaxxed status right about now.

I remember all those beanbaggers were so outraged when I wrote this thread and said Wentz probably wasn’t vaccinated. They made it seem like Covid wouldn’t even be an issue. Well the good thing is we got the first.

Even if he caught COVID earlier in the season he only would have missed 2 games maximum. Meaning he would still cover 75% of the snaps. There were so many conspiracy theorists thinking the Colts would do something that NFL teams never do when it comes to a newly acquired QB and not starting him.

Any lost games could’ve put the pick in jeopardy. The start of the season was pretty touch and go there between his surgery, two ankle sprains, and their slow start. As far as those ridiculous conspiracy theories I saw no chance the Colts would fake an injury to keep a pick. There was far too much real stuff they kept them out there for. Also because he’s unvaccinated I believe he has a minimum of 10 days if he’s exposed regardless if he has it or not. Honestly he’s just one of many unvaccinated players who made the best choice they felt for them regardless of what that may or may not do for their team. Aaron Rodgers better steer clear of everyone cause he could ruin their playoff chances.

If you don't like the thread, why don't just not read it.  People on the boards are responding, so they have an interest in the topic.  Wasn't that the whole purpose of re-starting the EMB?

On top of that the conditions to the pick actually aren’t over. Now that Wentz is out and could potentially miss a couple games it could effect the position of the pick. On a side note the guy who wants the tread closed mercilessly attacks the Eagles current quarterback and thinks that’s okay.

It is a selfish move for players to not get vaccinated.

Yes, they are.   Don't be obtuse.

He's played 976 snaps.  If he doesn't play another snap, the Colts would need to play over 1300 snaps for it to not convey at 75%.   The Colts have played 998 offensive snaps so far.  So, are you suggesting that the Colts will run an average of 150 snaps offensively in the next two games to not have it convey?   Just foolishness.

I'm asking a question to the mods. I mean if they agree with you they will leave it on.

He meant the draft position, the sentence right after what you bolded.

This affects the slotting of the pick even if it doesn't affect vesting of the pick - so you're arguing about nuances.  Bottom line is that whether or not Wentz plays could impact the pick in some fashion.

You're doing it the wrong way.  If you have a question about a post or a thread, you can report it without tagging a moderator in a post.

In any event, do not confuse the current version of the boards with the previous version.  These boards are not affiliated with the team, so moderation can be a lot more lenient.

Lighten up.

Sure they can be more lenient who said they couldn't? Maybe you should take your own advice. That said reporting post isn't there to ask a question, it's there to report violations.

The draft position isn't a part of the conditions of the trade.  It can go up or down a few slots.  The fact that it's a 1st round pick is concreted.

Mod5 is dead, he's locked in my basement.

Keeping this open because people are going to just open new topics, they did it before and I kept merging into this one.  It's not like we have tons of new topics every day, you can just not open this topic if you don't want to read about it.  Once the draft position is finalized after the season I can move it to Around the NFL.

False.  The report feature is to report posts that violate community rules, not to ask the moderators questions.

We know all that. People are still going to discuss the draft position, Carson vs Hurts in the playoffs, etc.

Nah, greend is right.  Reports are for violations.  I don't mind being tagged with questions.  We're a smaller community here than the old EMB.  Happy to help clarify anything, abuse towards mods is still a violation but just asking questions of course that's fine.

This is correct.

I agree, but you aren’t going to get everyone to take the vaccine for whatever their reasons. That’s kind of why I find it humorous when flat earth people say that the wold’s governments have all colluded against all of the people in the world to lie to them. Leaders can’t even agree with people in their own political parties, but everyone is working together on that? Makes no sense. I know it’s off topic. Just a rant on how people just aren’t going to agree.

Siri is fully vaxxed and got it, Bruce Arians just got it and several Bucs players on the COVID list.  It's going around the entire NFL and NBA.  Vaxxed status does affect how soon you can come back though.

Wentz being unvaxxed could potentially ruin their playoff chances. I don't care what people do get it don't get, don't care. However, at this point the consequences for not getting it outweigh getting it at this point... That's how I feel about it anyway. Wentz will face those consequences now

"Carson Wentz has been placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list, the team announced Tuesday.

Wentz tested positive and is unvaccinated, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported. Under current NFL-NFLPA protocols, he'd be isolated for 10 days. However, the NFL and NFLPA are discussing potential changes under new CDC guidance, so it's too soon to say the QB is out for Sunday's gameagainst the Las Vegas Raiders just yet.”

The NFL is scrambling trying to come up with some kind of solution. Their biggest nightmare is to see their quarterbacks out of playoff games.
