So, with the Colts losing, they are now showing as #7 seed in the AFC…if they beat Jax next week (looks likely, on paper), are they guaranteed a playoff berth?

I think you will find out more after the Chargers game.

Do the Chargers win a tie break over the Colts?

Actually not sure. I know they would be tied if the Chargers win.

Colts are pretty much in the playoffs.  They beat the Jags, they are in.  But, if they don't... they are pretty much out.  Simple for them.  Win and in versus lose and out.

Damn why couldn't they be playing a good team next week.

Who do the Colts play next week then? What's their chances of making the play offs after losing today?

Jags...

Chargers will take over the 7th seed with a win. Just showed it now.

Another stellar performance by Wentz, today 😆

They can still make it if they lose, but things would have to fall a certain way.  Lots of AFC teams piled up in that around of 9-8/10-7.  Browns, Steelers and Ravens are all in play still... Chargers and Raiders still both have a shot as well.  AFC is a strange mess for those final two playoff spots.

I’m just trying to work out if the Colts win next week (10-7) whether the Chargers can kick them out of the playoffs with 2 wins (against Denver & Raiders) at 10-7…

If not, all the Colts need to do is beat The Jags next week and our Colts pick is in the 20’s 😞

But they have the Jags so they will win so it doesn't really matter.

No.  If the Colts win, they are in.

Only if they lose can they miss... but can still get in with some other help.

Chargers overtake the Colts with a win today.

This is according to the graphic CBS just showed.

Likely true.  But, you never know.  Weird things can happen.  Eagles never should have made the playoffs in 2008 based on that final weekend's slate of games.  But, everything fell just right and the Eagles were left just needing to win to get in.

  • 6th Seed - Indianapolis
Wins tie break over Los Angeles based on best win percentage in conference games. Division tie break was initially used to eliminate Las Vegas (Los Angeles wins tie break over Las Vegas based on head-to-head win percentage).

Hmm, math checks out.

But yeah, CBS showed a graphic saying that if they win today they’re in the 7th spot.

That's from ESPN Playoff machine.

Also, given that the Raiders and Chargers play next week, if the Chargers win today, one of them will finish 9-8(unless they tie). And if the Colts win, they’ll be 10-7.

So, yeah, win next week and they’re in.

At least Phins play Pats, so hopefully they will loose and we get better position from them

That's means nothing, it's a division game and the pats already lost to the Phins once and the Phins have been on a winning streak.

But Colts play the Jags so they are going to win that.

That just ended, but you’re right. Divisional games are rarely blowout games.

But it is better chance than Jags beating Colts
