I don't give a crap. Did he play all the snaps? How many more games until they hit the 75%? 3 more games worth from here on out, right?

All that matters. It’s almost over.

"The Colts are averaging 66.6 offensive snaps per game, a pace for 1,132 over 17 games. That means Wentz can only play 849 snaps this season -- 75% -- for the Colts to keep their first-round pick. He's already played 661. So Wentz needs to miss a little more than 4 of the Colts' final 7 games to ensure the compensation is a second-rounder.”

So basically it seems that as long as Wentz plays in at least three more games completely the pick is a lock and with the Colts having winnable games coming up there’s no shot they bench Wentz. The only things that can prevent this pick now can only be injury or Covid related.

They haven't done that all season why would they start now?

Covid isn't going to keep him out for 4-5 games. That's not even a reality anymore

That definitely isn't happening with their remaining schedule. I'm expecting 3-3 at best for them.

That is one thing you can't say bad about Carson, his willingness to play through anything and at any cost.

Yet some called him a selfish person, bad teammate, etc.

Yeah it’s far less likely Covid alone would keep him out of games and I don’t know if they have any Sunday  to Thursday games coming up that could take him out for two potentially. My point was the 1st is basically a lock.

Not very likely going to happen. He has to basically sit for over four games total for that to happen. You’re basically saying they have to have leads so big by halftime he’s out the game and that basically has to happen nearly every game. It’s not realistic.

Remaining schedule

Bills - Loss

Bucs - Loss

Texans - Win

Pats / Cardinals / Raiders - I suspect they will 2-1 over these three, but possibly 1-2.

Raiders - Win

Jags - Win

They will probably finish 9-8 or 8-9 and hopefully just miss out on the playoffs.

They just had their Thursday game this past week. Aside from the two teams that open the season and two thanksgiving teams, I don’t think others play more than one Thursday. They should be all Sundays here on.

The good news, probably his worst game of the year,

Side note, Jaguars defense is legit

The bad news, They're praising Hurts for basically having the same game as Wentz.

Yikes

I watched both games.  Wentz was missing reads... making boneheaded plays... holding the ball too long... really bad..

Hurts 14 career starts

Wentz 79 career starts

Assuming these guys are at the same point in their careers.

YIKES!!!

Have the Colts beat a team with a winning record this year?

Jags defense is legit?? They have given up more points then the eagles and yards per game lol.

Nope. I asked the same question, but the beanbaggers got offended and attacked me over it. 😂🤣😂

Even more proof this first is basically a lock.

They play Buffalo and TB these next 2 weeks.  Hoping they go 0-2 and bump that draft pick back down closer to 10 (it is currently 15).

That's objectively wrong. Just because their passing yards were similar doesn't mean that their games were remotely the same.

Not sure how you're defining "winnable" but their remaining schedule is actually quite tough -- sure, there are two weak opponents (HOU (1-8) and JAC (2-7)), but the other five opponents are all over .500 with a collective record of (31-16) -- BUF (6-3), TB (6-3), NE (6-4), ARI (8-2) and LVR (5-4).

Still, win one of the next two (BUF and TB) and there is no way at 6-6 they would bench Wentz for the Houston game that follows, and once that game is over without him being benched the 1st rounder is in the bag.  Even if they lose both of those games, it strains credulity to believe the 5-7 Colts would bench Wentz for that extremely winnable Houston game with 6 NFL weeks left in the season (their bye is in week 14) and a playoff spot at least plausible, with two of the teams they are battling for a playoff spot (NE and LVR) still to play.

So at this point, really the only thing that keeps the Eagles from getting the Colts 1st rounder is a Wentz injury or Covid event.  So everyone should feel free to root against the Colts and for a healthy Wentz every game - I know I am.

I’d consider the Raiders, Jags, and Texans all very winnable games. Regardless we come to the same conclusion that the 1st is virtually a lock and people can stop all this talk of benching Wentz which personally I never bought into the idea at all.

I don't disagree with that statement. They are both exercising their rights.

On a side note regarding Covid he doesn’t have to necessarily catch Covid in order for it to sideline him. He could be exposed to it by another player on the roster and because he’s not vaccinated it would still put him in Covid protocols. As long as he tests negative twice  he should be okay I believe but that could depend on when the player tests positive too. So Covid could still be in play, but we are basically down to him playing 3 games. Potentially though he could miss three games to covid, but never actually catch Covid.

That would still be very rare occurrence. I don't recall anyone missing more then one game due to covid.

He has 7 games to play 3.
