I know people are going to quote Reagor’s 4.47, and I’m just a dude on a message board, but there’s no chance that’s his true speed. He carried too much weight. I promise he’s a 4.40 at worst guy.

Id say hes faster than that even.

He was a guy I didnt care about at first so I hardly paid attention to him. When I finally watched him I said, Im totally ok with him at 21 because thats DeSean Jackson speed. Hes not just fast.  Hes got that game changing kind of speed. Then I got worried about his run blocking and attitude. And I still am. But its clear he is what we needed. Im totally ok with this pick, and as the board fell I thought he should have been the pick over Jefferson, and even woulda taken him over Lamb based on the fit.

He looked it on tape.  Didn't bring it to the NFL.

Huh?  Did I say he was talentless?  He’s talented enough to play D1 football.  He’s talented enough to get drafted in the NFL.  He’s not a good wide receiver and was a bad pick.  Your rationale was basically because Hurts sucks (which he does) and let’s see him with a real QB. We’ve seen enough of Reagor with Hurts or Wentz to know what he is.  A 2nd/3rd round talent who was drafted too high because Lowie doesn’t know what they are doing.

The point I made was I wanted to see him and the other young skill position players with a competent QB.  Neither Wentz/Hurts last year or Hurts this year fit the bill.  He was absolutely overdrafted considering the board at the time he was chosen.  I still think he can be a solid #2/3 guy with a competent QB.

The good news is We dont really use Sanders anyway. With this not being a long injury a team might take a chance on a trade before the deadline. Time to call up Jordan Howard.

Howie and Lurie wanted a last minute huddle up to make sure that Nick answers the questions the way they want them answered.

I'm a bit tied up at the moment, so if people are willing to give updates to what NS has to say, I would greatly appreciate it.

Thanks in advance

I don't see that. Trade deadline is next Tuesday and this is a 2-3 week injury.

His college tape he looked explosive and like the fastest quickest guy on the field every game, seems he left that dude at TCU, since being in the NFL he's showed some flashes but more consistently looks " sluggish" which I tend to think is more an effort thing than a talent thing.

Yup gannon has said he's going to use his players to their strengths and not any particular scheme but seems he hasn't  accomplished that.

Using Cox as a NT isnt using him to his strength.

The DEs don't have much to use in any scheme

Nor did the LBs, I mean how is Gannon supposed to best use them if they have zero talent?

The corners have been pretty good and Gannon has used them better but the safeties behind them aren't very talented and Gannon isn't using them properly either.

McLeod was brought in to play in Schwartz cover 1 zone scheme and now in Gannon's cover 2 deep zone scheme  not only is McLeod out of place but after Injury along with age he isn't nearly as talented as he was and even previously it wasnt like he was an all pro.

Gannon has done horribly putting his guys in their best position and Howie and Co have done horribly giving Gannon anybody to put in their best position.

It's just fubar from top to bottom.

Pretty much the whole defense needs to be rebuilt in the next two years. With multiple starters on 1-year deals or expiring contracts, the LB mess and the fact that we rely on so many players over 30 it's going to be a tough road ahead for a little while.

Looks like Mac Jones is getting good offensive coaching in New England. Welp, good thing we didn’t hire that guy. He failed in Denver over a decade ago.  So he must not be a good option.

Reagor would flourish, no real set routes just get open.  I was only worried about McDaniels because of the Tebow stuff and if he truly believed Tebow could be a QB in the NFL.
The first time Howie got on the head set and questioned a play call with McDaniels, it would be the last time.   There’s a reason the Eagles only hire first time head coaches.

I saw Davion Taylor hit 21.5 mph when he bit and was torched on a FB wheel route

Can't really blame him for biting though...beautiful playcall and execution.

Why is he digging up posts from draft day two years ago?

Interesting that the presser was moved back. Wonder if they fired someone.

Nah. Last minute role-playing coaching up from Lurie and Howie for Nick. Lurie is pretending to be Jeff McLane and Howie is pretending to be Rueben Frank.

I think it’s good for the NFL to have teams like the Bengals and Cards playing so well

There are currently 5 teams in the NFL that are in the top-10 in both scoring offense and defense:

1) Bills
2) Bucs
3) Cardinals
4) Rams
5) Bengals

A team can still trade for him if they feel he will be ready a week or two after he is dealt.

I wouldnt expect to get anything more then a 4th or 5th though for him. Just no value in RBs

Yup, the only players on D worth a Dam are slay and Hargrave.

Slay is over 30 not really part of the future, and Hargrave contract is up year after next and will be 30 years old, which means I'm sure Howie will make him the highest paid DT in the league with a ton of back loaded  guaranteed money...😒

There's nothing at DE, sweat is just a situational guy, obviously nothing at LB, maybe Taylor develops but at this point he's just an athlete not a football player.

In the secondary both corners need to be replaced and both safeties and a 3rd safety.

Maddox might be a long term answer at Nickel if re signed as he's a FA after this year.

So that's two DEs two DTs 3 LBs 2 corners and 2 safeties.

Which is pretty much a whole starting D if I math correctly???

Howie got eagles into the mess in D not sure u trust him to dig them out of it.

Sweat sure isn't living up to his new contract.

Ha!

I bet Sirianni is sat there scrolling Twitter and reading here thinking, I'm only delaying this to see if anyone bites

One off the wall thing to consider is hiring a senior assistant to help the Coaches or a player is being traded. The scuttlebutt on Social Media isn't exactly a lot at the moment
