Yup, a few years back I think the Vikings ran out of time on their pick, next team made their pick and then vikings made their pick and got the guy they wanted anyway for cheaper

Yeah they had a trade and it fell through

Problem is detroit and houston need qbs…and so does washington

Bigger problem might be that there's not going to be a QB worthy of a top 3 pick either way.

This is also a concern but you know they will go high like they always do

Strong and Ridder are the only ones that interest me at the moment

Huge game next week.  Texans at the Dolphins.

Guessing more Eagles fans will be interested in the outcome than Texan and Dolphin fans combined.

Need a big Texans win on Sunday!

We should all be Texans fans next week.  We need MIA to jump to the #2 overall pick.  There's too many teams with just 2 or 3 wins that can get in the way of us having 2 picks in the top 8 or top 10.  I want at least 1 top 5 and another in the top 10.  Colts ending up a top 15 pick would be gravy.

Which sucks, but it's not like Howie and Co would make a good pick anyway...

I didn’t say he has been great.   But he isn’t making multiple mind numbing mistakes that cost us games (see wentz today for a good example)

I’d call not being able to function as a qb and missing routine throws, not reading the field and not understanding simple concepts like the rpo as mind numbing mistakes costing games.

I still have a glimmer of hope that Howie gets the heave-ho.

Yup that he does, his mistakes are mainly death by a million paper cuts mistakes, he'll have an occasional blunder and when he does watch out cuz it'll be a doozy.

The throwing out if bounds on a free play still just makes me shake my head🤷‍♂️.

Those types of mistakes though aren't as noticeable or scrutinized as throwing a pick in OT on first down into triple coverage

Today I think was one of the worst. How do you step out of bounds before throwing it away? He’s lucky the he fell ass backwards into that penalty technicality.

If you dont have the guy at qb you have to keep firing until you get one

Anyone who understands NFL football understands this...

Is it just me or is Diggs super overrated? He has great ball skills but I’ve seen him get beat badly several times.

People get wrapped up in the int totals. He’s average at best.

Yup.

Throwing the ball out of bounds on a free play... throwing the ball away on 4th down...  he's got some bone-headed stuff that just defies understanding.

I call them rookie mistakes that pretty much every Qb makes

You guys need not worry hurts won’t be getting 4plus years (and a huge new contract m) to fix it like we gave wentz

Hopefully Houston trades Watson tomorrow to the Dolphins & Tua is traded also. Whatever gives Houston an edge next week

If you don't have the guy at QB after making the type of move that they made for Wentz, fired your Super Bowl winning HC, etc... you usually fire the GM too.  Lurie stopped firing too soon.

I can't imagine a scenario where Lurie fires him, seems Lurie is so entrenched that Howie would have to do something erroneous, I'd say he already has but I don't think Lurie sees it that way.

Kirk Cousins seems like such a ****nozzle

And not give the ball to the other team or take an ill advised sack at every single critical moment of the game

I’m giving him a full season to show improvement.  I don’t think he is the answer but I know wentz wasn’t.

that’s my point. Wentz is garbage and that’s not going to change.  Hurts deserves the benefit of the doubt though just like I gave went for 2 seasons too long.

Wentz is a much better QB than Hurts at a base level. That isn’t to say Wentz doesn’t have his own tragic flaws because he does. Both seem to have mental limitations but Hurts has skill level limitations as well.

I see nothing from Hurts so far to think he will overcome the skill limits let alone the mental.  Which has nothing to do with Wentz.  Hurts is the same QB he was in college and week to week in the pros seems to be that as well.

other than that "he’s young and inexperienced” and seems to be a hard worker, what do you see from him that suggests growth potential?

He’s not a rookie and no those aren’t rookie mistakes. Those are lack of grey matter issues. He doesn’t have the brain to handle the nfl as anything more than spot duty.

Also Jets vs Colts Thursday night, will be a game worth tuning into

Yeah but if there's no one there in the first makes zero sense to take a qb just for the sake of taking a QB, that's how bad franchises like the browns become the browns.

I don't watch a ton of college ball but I'm not sure there is a first round worthy an in this next draft, though I'm sure a couple will go In  the first 🤷‍♂️

That's ok.  Hurts will never be in the MVP conversation either, which is why Wentz got so much time and the big contract.

Rookie like "used to be a WR and is new to the QB position?

it isn’t like he just isn’t up to the pace of the pro game yet or he had a couple of bad habits that he got away with in college and is now realizing he can’t get away with at this level.

he simply isn’t a good QB and never has been.

Winston ACL injury. Makes you wonder if Howie waited a week to deal Flacco if the Saints would’ve been in on him.
