Hurts is basically Tom Brady, that's what PFF is telling me.

We're gonna need a bigger trophy case and more Bud Light sponsored statues!

LOL no, He stated the Military will win out 100% over armed citizens. We failed to win Veitnam and the war on AFghanistan, due to armed natives.

But his general point is that without a second amendment, natives wouldn't have access to the guns they need to defend themselves, which is clearly not the case.

He's basically making the best possible argument he could to explain why we don't need a second amendment, while mistakenly thinking he's trying to defend it.

I am concerned that Mailata is going to be the Joel Embiid of left tackles.

This statistic is gold.  Well, bronze, actually…but this is hysterical.

The sins of those who wrote it are one thing, but show me anywhere in the constitution that supports Slavery or racism of ANY KIND.

I'll wait.

Hint there is nothing racist about the constitution. ZERO

The 3/5ths clause?  Trying reading some American history by real historians.

Slavery was the primary controversy at the Constitutional Convention.

Though I have problems with both the Left wanting to indoctrinate and the Right wanting to deny.

Just teach the facts, that slavery was universal in the 18th century when the compromises over slavery were incorporated in the Constitution, that abolition didn't become widespread until the 1820s and 1830s worldwide (England banned the slave trade in 1807, but allowed slavery in its colonies until 1833).

That the Civil War was about slavery, not states rights, as the Southern states supported the Fugitive Slave Act, and southern leaders explicitly referenced the preservation of slavery as their justification for succession.

That the Black Codes tried to legally re-institute quasi-slavery in the South after the Civil War, and Reconstruction tried to preserve the rights of the ex-slaves. The carpetbagger myth was part of the Southern mythology (there was corruption, but no more than usual in America, see NJ, LA). Reconstruction ended with a political compromise in the election of 1876, to be followed by the implementation of Jim Crow laws, blessed by the Supreme Court in Plessy v Ferguson.

That discrimination against blacks continued well into the 1960s, not just in the South, but through red lining in the North, the judicious placement of interstate highways through cities isolating Black and Hispanic neighborhoods, segregation of the Armed Forces until after WWII, discrimination in the provision of GI benefits.

These are all facts, you don't have to talk about critical race theory, you just teach facts, including the Chinese exclusion acts, the Japanese internment camps, etc. You teach about the slaughter and displacement of the Indians.

You also teach about the positive facts of American history, the good intentions even if they went awry, the dynamic economy, the gradual embrace of freedom (the 1st amendment as we know it is really an invention of the 20th century Supreme Court), the positive side of immigration (and its demise with the red scare of the 1920s) and so on. But you don't teach fantasies of the "good old days." Because they weren't that good.

Real history requires honesty, present the good and the bad without judgement, and let students think for themselves.

But you don't censor the bad in order to create "patriots," it shouldn't be "My country right or wrong" but "My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right.”

Without acknowledging the sins of the past, we can't build a better future based on a foundation of lies.

Why the hell did I take any history/government classes in college when I could have just come here?!?

Those are garbage time stats.

Maybe so, but being beaten like that in your own manor doesn't bode well for other actions...

I think Russell Wilson is the only QB I'd like the Eagles going after in the offseason. However, this defense needs a lot of help and would rather they spend the 1st round picks on defensive players.

Matt Stafford has resurrected his career in his 30's by going to a different team, although they are far more talented than any team he had been on before. I don't anticipate the same success if Russell Wilson came here since the talent gap is far greater.

Just stating I rather them use their draft picks than trade for Wilson. I know Howie is going to try to get his guy he missed out on and he's going to poke around.

If this is true, Ruggs is going to get the book thrown at him.

The combination of alcohol and excessive speed easily fits the definition of "depraved indifference"

He's lucky that fatal DUI accidents are not grounds for a second-degree murder charge; instead, the defendant would face charges for DUI causing death (NRS 484C.430).

Causing a serious injury or fatality by drunk or drugged driving is a category B felony in Nevada. The punishment includes:

However, I can't see any judge being lenient with him, if the evidence is solid, a prosecutor isn't going to accept a plea bargain for causing such a horrific death.

So I'd bet on him getting at least 10 years.

He should get the maximum of 20 years imo for the dui and killing someone but also going 156 mph in a residential area. If i was the state I’d also try somehow get him on killing the dog as well with some sort of animal cruelty (highly unlikely that would remotely sticks but I’m trying it). Furthermore I’d argue a normal person doesn’t have the advantage of a work corporation providing a car service for this exact reason so there’s no need to remotely think about drinking and driving   And his girlfriend is also not out of the clear yet. She has serious injuries.

Didn’t he have a loaded gun in the car too?

Yup

Siri talked about Ruggs with the team.

I think that’s excellent.  The players need to know they are not invincible. There are resources available if they need them.

He was coming home from militia duty.

If they had All state it could’ve protected them from mayhem like this

There is truth about what greend says about out populace. I tend to believe we would be more difficult to conquer than either of those for much the similar reason.

I imagine that’s going to hit devonta smith pretty hard. Sounds like him and ruggs were pretty close

I'm wondering if a valet gave him his keys being that drunk.

@VaBeach_Eagle can we get the thumbs down and other negative reactions added ??

I think there were issues with doing that, which at the moment I don't recall what they were but it was talked about when we opened for business last year.

@Moderator12 may remember why.
