Yup, hes really good, I mean most of Primus songs are very bass centric and bass heavy.

My sister in law abhors Primus, I don't mind them, not my favorite but can't deny his talent as a bassist

I can't stand about 90% of his work with Primus.  Same thing with Buckethead on guitar, that dude is insanely talented but it's so obscure and out there it probably doesn't get the recognition deserved.

For all you fans of QB's named Carson.

He's a value proposition and a scheme/roster fit equation to me.

I'm a dinosaur in that I still put much higher stock in a strong, accurate arm than I do in a QB who can run really well.  I still think the best QBs are the ones who can process quickly, make good pre-snap reads, and distribute the ball to playmakers -- not try to be the playmaker.

Strong would need a really good OL and a scheme designed to get the ball out quickly, but I think he's accurate, seems to make good decisions, and has a VERY strong arm.  He's not Zach Wilson, but he's likely the best thrower in this year's draft class.

I wouldn't use a 1st round pick on him, but if there's any way he's there around pick 40 to 45 I might be tempted.

and Bonham and John Paul Jones

Jones, yes, but Bonham was nothing special as a drummer to me. (Moon, in contrast was musically a genius.  What he played was not what any other drummer would do but it worked.).

We were talking 1960s and Zepplin arrived in ‘69 so I guess they made it.  I didn’t reference Ritchie Blackmore as a guitarist because Deep Purple formed in 1968.  Really liked it when Roger Glover joined the band.  Like Noel Redding, he preferred a pick on the bass.  In fact, he used a heavy pick.  I would suggest that Glover and Redding led the way for heavy metal bassists.  Just listen to Glovers bass line in Smoke on the Water.   That lead in riff from Blackmore is classic with Lord mimicking him on the keyboard as the song progresses.  Then Glover comes in with a hard bottom.  Listen to Redding’s echoing of Hendrix on Electric Ladyland.  A lot of the melody from that album is Redding with Hendrix providing the chops. Redding used the tools you would typically see with a guitarist (which he was).

Tallent and Weinberg

Don’t disagree but that is pure 1970s.

how about 2 -1st's this year with a conditional 1st/2nd next year based on playing time etc....?

Birds have the most dead cap this year and as of now have the 2nd highest for next year. Thanks for those amazing contracts, Howie.

Just wait until they trade Cox in the offseason.

Looks like a dove to me, maybe crossed with a pigeon.

Not sure if anyone answered this for you, but it looks like a Homing Pigeon...  people raise them... for whatever reason, since they aren't used for what they were originally bred for: message carrying...  they're captive bred, that one probably got lost...

Jimmy Chamberlin is the greatest drummer of all time.

Almost the entirety of this concert is focused on his drumming.  He is a technical master.  An absolute once in a life time talent at drums.  It's almost hypnotic to watch.

Not even comparable to Neil Peart. He is the technical master of drumming.

Bonham, Moon, Danny Carey, Ginger Baker, Carmine Appice, Levon Helm, Dave Grohl, Terry Bozzio and about 20 others are all better.

Ranked #53 on Rolling Stone's all time drummers, and that is to high.

It's too low.  But like more than most else music is very subjective.

Love Tool!

I will add another thing about drummers, anyone who thinks Lars is in the top 50 drummers of all time is an idiot.

Greatest rock musician, not just drummer, of all time.

I think there were issues with doing that, which at the moment I don't recall what they were but it was talked about when we opened for business last year.

@Moderator12 may remember why.

We decided against the negative system for the same reason Facebook didn’t have thumbs down.  There was a concern people would gang up on posters to downvote them out of spite

Tommy Lee of motley crew was doing upside down drum solos when this dude was still in diapers.👎
