Seems like a terrible person and teammate🙄

But either way I’m out on him now at 7 million this year. Unless you’re into buying a potential high comp pick.

Or signing him to an extension... I'm not sure he's going to be able to demand top $.

I do understand that, and you are very correct.  But I don't think that one must preclude the other either.   If patient X is not part of the study, but wants to try the treatment (in addition to other strategies), and patient X's doctor doesn't see a reason for them not to take it, I don't see the harm in it, nor do I see why it should be ridiculed.   This particular drug is one with very limited side effects and is usually very well tolerated by folks.  If, on the other hand, their doctor believes it is not in their best interest, they should tell the patient that and find an alternative treatment plan.

The doctors prescribing it piecemeal aren't harming the evidence either, as those infected with Covid that aren't part of an official study wouldn't likely be eligible for a study after getting over the disease anyway.

Well there’s harm to misuse of medication. There’s also harm to people being influenced by one person’s alleged results with the medication.  So when one person speaks out loud about recovering after taking the medication that impacts demand and perception. It creates demand for a medication that can cure shortages depriving it from people/horses that have no better alternative. https://amp.theguardian.com/world/2021/sep/20/ivermectin-shortage-horse-owners-covid It discourages people from getting a safer and more effective vaccine.

This was the first week of the season that I didn't get a nasty-gram from Google telling me that there's sexual content in the gameday thread.

Congrats... I guess.

When they 'detect' sexual content, they disable ad serving to that page (so no ads display). So doing that improperly, they improperly took revenue away from the board. So it is congrats, but for the board as a whole. Not that the revenue amounted to a huge amount, but every little bit adds to the pot.

Anyone taking the horse version is outside of this conversation.

Agreed. If he is willing to do that, I’d be back in. The fact that he negotiated to be a free agent after this year means he wants to do that though. An extension sounds unlikely. It’s a way bigger risk now than his contract rumored to be earlier today.

Now we are going to get flagged for drug content!

In other news, I have less than zero interest in adding Beckham to this team.  Hard pass, or in the case of Hurts... soft pass, to the right.

No worries, it's legal in Virginia and Virginia is the official home of the official unofficial New EMB.

I guess the eagles ran a train on the lions last week explains it.

Yes, and the bolded is all I have been advocating - more clinical trials and a moratorium on laughing at anyone who takes Ivermectin for Covid.

As for the lawyer ads... unfortunately, we live in a highly litigious age.  But, watching ads at the same time of day on the same channels, you'll see ads where drug companies tell you to ask your doctor if 'drug x' is right for you.  So, if I go by ads, I should ask my doctor about every drug I see on TV, then if something goes wrong with one that I asked about, I call the lawyer and sue the doctor!  Win for everyone!  (except the doctor, I suppose)

I agree on clinical trials.  A safe viral inhibitor would be great, if it works out.  But those taking it are using it against approved guidance as currently approved because a lack of those studies.

I am not laughing at people taking prescribed amounts of human doses.  I do chuckle at the folks slurping the paste intended for horses. I chuckle at people that lick toads too.

Look, I have little resistance to people using drugs as they see fit. If the righteous hypocritical "conservative” politicians that "believe in personal freedoms” would get off their high horses and allow recreational marijuana to be sold and consumed in PA with its benefits to agriculture and the badly needed sin taxes in our coffers, I would be first in line at the local pot store.  I am a proponent of the Portugal model on drug decriminalization.  But my personal choice on Ivermectin is I want more scientific studies of the nature @Desertbirds referenced before I would feel safe taking it as a viral inhibitor

Yes... I want exactly that same thing.

No interest in OBJ. Move some cap from next year to this year.

I think you have that backwards unless you want Howie to restructure more guys.

Yup. Hard pass on OBJ.

Dude was a cancer when he was good now he's just a cancer

Regardless, it makes no sense because we’ll carry over cap space.

The burning question now is who dresses and takes JJAW's snaps?

I think he’s still good. Mayfield’s greatest weakness lines up perfectly with OBJ’s strengths. Just a terrible pairing.

Not that we should go anywhere near him.

Hightower time?

If they end up winning on Sunday I could actually see them putting a claim in for OBJ because they would have a legit shot at the playoffs with the weak schedule

I think the canceling of Rodgers is going to go over about as well as the attempted canceling of Chapelle. Lol

Wow, two whole people publicly supported him. Wonder what Baker thinks?

T.O. had people in the locker room here that liked him too. It's almost unheard of for everyone to hate one guy. It's the guys that are divisive and split the locker room that's the problem.
