I think he’s still good. Mayfield’s greatest weakness lines up perfectly with OBJ’s strengths. Just a terrible pairing.

Not that we should go anywhere near him.

Hightower time?

He makes sense in terms of he was on the roster last year and is probably next man up.   JJAW's biggest contribution this year was his blocking on WR screens.  Can Hightower do that?  Does it even matter?

Wow, two whole people publicly supported him. Wonder what Baker thinks?

T.O. had people in the locker room here that liked him too. It's almost unheard of for everyone to hate one guy. It's the guys that are divisive and split the locker room that's the problem.

TO is one of the greatest WR of all time. He gets a pass…except from McNabb.

I agree on clinical trials.  A safe viral inhibitor would be great, if it works out.  But those taking it are using it against approved guidance as currently approved because a lack of those studies.

I am not laughing at people taking prescribed amounts of human doses.  I do chuckle at the folks slurping the paste intended for horses. I chuckle at people that lick toads too.

Look, I have little resistance to people using drugs as they see fit. If the righteous hypocritical "conservative” politicians that "believe in personal freedoms” would get off their high horses and allow recreational marijuana to be sold and consumed in PA with its benefits to agriculture and the badly needed sin taxes in our coffers, I would be first in line at the local pot store.  I am a proponent of the Portugal model on drug decriminalization.  But my personal choice on Ivermectin is I want more scientific studies of the nature @Desertbirds referenced before I would feel safe taking it as a viral inhibitor

If they end up winning on Sunday I could actually see them putting a claim in for OBJ because they would have a legit shot at the playoffs with the weak schedule

I assume we would want an extra WR active with Reagor also nursing an ankle injury.

Eff TO.

The point is its a locker room of 60+ guys. Regardless of who it is, there's going to be some people that like him. That doesn't mean he's a great teammate. His issues with Mayfield is enough evidence.

What's the backstory on this?

Turds never get a pass.

The burning question now is who dresses and takes JJAW's snaps?

Not sure jjaw was a core special teamer and while I think hightower would be the logical choice as a WR hightower played limited special teams snaps last year

Overlooked the ST part of things.  I'd assume one of the 6 CB who don't play can take over the ST snaps.

Manu just made a good point about Reagor still nursing his ankle.  Good chance he gets dinged and they have Smith, Watkins and Ward lined up on Sunday.

I'd like to see Deon Cain get called up to see if he can contribute anything.

He was supposed to be out for the season with a hand injury. He’s a decently regarded QB prospect.

Yep.  Hightower can’t replace JJAWs role.

JJAW never even ran meaningful routes.  They used him as a move-able blocker for their dink and dunk behind the the LOS offense…and for ST coverage.

Hightower could not possibly be more useless for those roles.  You’d be better off pulling a fat fan from the stands.

Hightower can still fill a valuable role as the guy on the all 22 whose running wide open deep while Jalen bails the pocket and rolls to the right for a 3 yard scramble.

on the left side of the field.

That’s ideal for him, especially since we know that he wouldn’t track and catch the football if Hurts actually did see and hit him.

Running around wide open unseen by the QB (or interfered with by a DB) is as good as he can look.

Yup hightowers best trait is his ability to get deep, Hurts hasn't shown he can consistently hit the deep ball to anyone.

I think you have that backwards unless you want Howie to restructure more guys.

Wait yeah I meant other way around. Brain is fried after this long work week.

I don’t know. I can think of a few blog members that might be in the horse discussion.

Hightower was above Watkins last season. I’d hope he improved some under Siri.

IMO, their talent was never comparable.  That we drafted and played Hightower over Watkins right up until Watkins forced them to make the depth chart flip just shows how clueless the organization is.

Im mostly leaning towards tank so Im not going to go campaigning for OBJ. But Ill just say that Minshew, Smith, OBJ, Quez, and Sanders/Gainwell probably makes us a playoff team.

Well, Minshew likely stays on the sidelines, OBJ goes elsewhere and who knows how long Sanders is out, and while he's out Scott and Howard are in front of Gainwell.
