Clawson has quietly done a hell of a job with WF

Don't know anything about them except their record. What do they do? Score a lot, it looks like.

The schedule from now on is hilariously easy, at least on paper.

If Siri doesn't force Hurts to pass the ball 30+ times, Eagles can runoff a whole bunch of wins.

It's not that simple, "Just run the ball."

Because if you were an opposing DC, how would you defend the Eagles?

Bring both safeties up and dare Hurts to beat you. Running into 8 and 9 man fronts is guaranteed to lead to lots of punts.

Anyone who wants us to draft Willis is out of their minds.

Hurts is a better QB than him, at least Hurts knows to play within his limitations.

Willis if flat out getting exposed against SEC athletes.

Yes, but I remember Moon when he first arrived from Canada (and how Oliver Luck made his money and bailed, just like his son).  Moon would get "happy feet” and start dancing around the pocket and scrambling.  As soon as you would see those happy feet, you knew something bad would happen.  Frankly, Moon is why I haven’t given up entirely on Hurts. (Hurts has nowhere close to the arm talent of Moon, but many of the same bad habits.) Moon needed that maturing in the CFL.   Then he was the bidding war guy when he became available and the Oilers won. Our starting QB, Gifford Nielsen, quit when Moon was signed because he knew Moon was the starter.  I suspect that signing Hugh Campbell, his CFL coach helped that.  Well Campbell was awful and Moon had a lot to learn.  Moon really didn’t come into his own until June Jones was OC.  Bringing the run ‘n shoot with its quick passes and RPO like reads was what Moon needed.  There is a flavor of that in Sirianni’s playbook for Hurts.  The big difference is you could see the potential in Warren that there just doesn’t seem to be in Hurts.  Moon would dance but you could see he wanted to throw.  Frankly, if I were Sirianni, I would practice Hurts with hobbles and a stop watch. He needs a dose of Leach’s quick reads.

I’m sure there’s several version’s of spread  offenses that use the Air Raid, but Hurts should of had some of those quick reads with Riley in Oklahoma, being he was at 69% completions.  TBF, his Y/A is really high at 11, so maybe they weren’t all short.   I still can’t remember a QB like Hurts that really limited himself to the right side of the field, maybe it’s all due to him rolling right when he noticed even a little bit of pressure.  Not the past 3 games, but for last year and half of this year, there was really nothing Herbert showed in college that would make anyone think he would be great against pressure., and he has been.  Last year for rookie to ranked 3rd against pressure like Herbert was is remarkable, so yea, there is some hope for Hurts.
Air Raid is really nothing more than a spread West Coast with limited terminology, and personnel groupings, also with most of the West Coast running plays removed.  Some fans hear "Air Raid” and think Run & Shoot, or vertical which it isn’t.
Arians still doesn’t believe QB’s coming from that system can be successful long term, he like Belichick believe passing should be vertical, AKA, hero ball, although how Belichick is bringing along Jones, he definitely dumped a bunch of his more vertical concepts.

I haven’t been impressed anytime I’ve watched him, but he has no prayer with how his OL is playing. They’re bad.

What I like about the leach offense is the layers that allow quick reads.   I do think some vertical is necessary to keep the defense honest and the layering that Leach uses allows for a quick glance to multiple receivers.  Hurts absolutely needs to spread the field horizontally but that may be a work in progress from Sirianni.  I noticed more crossing routes in the last couple of weeks.  I suspect we will see more middle routes to TEs until the Eagles get a taller WR. I would love to see if Jackson can play because a shorter QB can see a TE like Jackson anywhere on the field.

I understand the differences between Air Raid and Run n Shoot.  What I was commenting on is the reading similarities between RPO and Run ‘n Shoot., although there can be some aspects of WR reads in a WCO or Air Raid.  Gilbride tried to incorporate those with the giants when he was there with mixed levels of success.

What I think I am seeing with Sirianni is incrementalism in how he is adding pieces to the offense.

Interesting but depressing stat.  Both Quez Watkins and Jalen Reagor have 20 catches.  Watkins has 200 more yards than Reagor.

I think the Eagles should claim Odell, but I don’t think they will. See if he can regain form here and you essentially have gotten a #1 WR on the cheap. And at worst you could probably trade him off to someone in the off-season, and you’d have essentially just bought an extra pick for a waiver wire pickup.

Since this team sucks anyway, I don’t worry about him being a malcontent, honestly, who cares.

Said before say it again , no on Willis awful QB , no one would be talking about him if not for his running ability and arm strength , he just isn’t a good QB

I still like Corral , Strong , Levis , Barriere and Bailey

Jurkovec  if he declares

If we claim him but let him hit FA next year, are we still able to get a comp pick for him?

The only WR who ran at least 50 routes that has a lower yards per route run than Reagor is Danny Amendola, so, yea that checks out.

He’s not cheap. He’s over $7M for half the season. He’s also a FA after this year.

I disagree.   It is as simple as that.  Run the ball.  Force the safeties into the box, run play action, make it as simple as possible for Hurts.  But above all, run the ball.  Heck, this has been a mantra if many since 2018.  Just run the ball.  It has been, and without a doubt is, what the Eagles offense does best.  Run.  The.  Ball.

What was the one stat I saw from that post.  was it 10 of Reagors catches have come at either 5 yards or behind the LOS?  It was in Reub's observations.

Is this his last year of his deal or is there an option in the contract? I could’ve sworn I saw contract numbers posted that carried into next year.

Beckham and the Browns agreed to remove those years from his deal, I believe.

Pickett is certainly the safest pick at QB  , just no upside with him and nothing dynamic about him

When Willis has bad games , he has really bad games . I wouldn’t touch him in the top 75

They restructured his deal last night and took off everything after this year.

Pickett is Mac Jones with more mobility and a slightly better arm, minus the resume.

Mac has a much stronger arm than Pickett imo.

Which isn’t a bad thing considering Jones has been the best rookie QB to date .

Friggen liberty ole miss game isnt on tv?? Wtf

Pickett throws with more velocity than Mac, that's why I think he has a slightly better arm, but not by much.

Both have arm talent that is more than good enough for the NFL.
