The fact that it took him that long to recognize a change needed to happen isn't a good thing.  Or if he didn't have the control to make said change.

I imagine the insistence on seeing Hurts throw as much as possible came from Lowie. They had to really know what he could and couldn't handle. Considering we all knew this was gonna be a bad season, I can live with that. At least it seems they now realize how bad he is, and hopefully they never put him back in.

I wonder about Trubisky. He would likely be cheap, and honestly, if we don't go after the big QBs (Rodgers, Wilson, Watson), and don't take one in the draft, I would much rather go into next year with Trubisky than Hurts/Minshew. I never really followed his career, but the Bears track record with QBs is really bad. How does Trubisky's arm compare to Minshew?

If he had a real training camp, he would have seen plenty.  Boom roasted.  Mic drop.

Haha I think Sirianni knew....I think Lowie were delusional. But, they had made their bed well before TC started.

A laughing Jimbo Fisher on Finebaum: "There were a lot of NIL deals going on before all this was going on, they just weren’t legal. Nobody told nobody.”

College football is corrupt to its  bones. They should drop the charade about amateurism and academics and recognize that they are the developmental league for the NFL.

Yup sounds about right, he's a tool, best to just put him on ignore.

Life is better when I don't see his posts.

Trubisky signed a 1 year, 2.50 mill contract. I would easily take him for that, even a little more if need be.

Trubisky is far from a great QB, but I always felt he was put on blast a little too much.

He's had a solid career despite playing on some poor teams, in a crap hole stadium on a franchise with a history of never having QBs.

QB factory

I mean, we signed Flacco for more than that I think? Another one in the loss column for Howie.

What do you think about Daniel Jones?

The Giants will have two high picks and likely a new GM.  They would be in the market for Wilson or pick a new QB in the draft.

Acknowledging that Jones would possibly be included in a Wilson trade, would you be interested if he was available?

Yes, price dependent of course. If he's willing to take a deal for less than say, $5 million/per, yeah I'd absolutely kick those tires.

What a disaster Myers was  . I would guess ,Leftwitch  , is who the jags target as their next HC .

Him, Caldwell, and Doug will get interviewed for sure.

Daniel Jones has the physical tools to succeed, somethings just missing.

Maybe a change of scenery could help.?

In all seriousness, I am warming up to Jameson Williams.  If we in fact use all of our 3 first rounders, which I would be shocked if we do.  But he's ridiculously explosive and has some size to him.  As the board starts to form into shape and we miss out on some of the top end defensive talent because we are winning meaningless games, Williams might be BPA in the late teens.  Unless he goes off in the postseason and sky-rockets up the board.  In that case, I am out.

Jameson and Trey Burks would be on the table in my book. The two Ohio State receivers are also interesting.

X QB , to mentor Lawrence , he use to play for Jville , successful OC , not just with Brady , offense was good prior with Winston , Winston just couldn’t stop with the picks ,  I won’t be shocked if he gets the job .

Plus he won a nickelodeon mvp

I can see Caldwell and Doug.  But I don't see it with Leftwich at all.

McDanielszz makes a ton of sense.  For a franchise that isn't scared of their head coach calling the shots or of a guy who failed as a HC over a decade ago.

I’d be surprised if the jags from a PR standpoint after everything that went down with Urban that they go mcdaniels because of his issues in the past.

Yeah, but what about his swag?

I might be mistaken, but @austinfan aren't you the one that keeps insisting our team is bad at pass blocking?

Texans doing what they routinely have done since 2017. Finishing bottom ten in the league in oline grades

Yep.

I think even last season with out 39 different OL combinations we still finished with a higher rating than they did.

Issues in the past?  You lost me there.  Him failing at Denver and then going back to New England?  That'd be pretty dumb of Jax and it was dumb of the Eagles to pass on him if that is/was their reason.

Also his incident with leaving the colts after they agreed to hire him and he hired an entire staff then bolted back to New England. Schefter talked about it on the radio there’s a lot of owners where that left a bad taste in their mouths. Also wasn’t just he failed in Denver. He pissed off their owner (per schefter who actually has really close ties to that Denver organization as he started his journalism career covering the broncos ) and alienated/rubbed (the wrong way) a bunch of their players. The jags just had a coach that did that. Not sure they want to go that road again hoping he’s changed.

Absolutely and I'm good with that.

I don't even look at college football as student athletes.  I look at it as business and, like you said, a development league.

I just don't want any more complaints about money or if these kids flame out and don't make it or don't get any education.
